Aadheen: It's looking like I won't be able to go I won a holiday and it's two weeks after Sherkin and I'm just not able to afford both. Trying to get spending money together for holiday and if go to Sherkin, won't have any for hols, ggggrrrr. I've a double room booked if somebody needs it.

No doubt will be catching up with ye all again soon. Will only lose deposit on hotel so not so bad. Hope ye have a fab weeekend

The Islander's Rest on Sherkin Island has a good deal, and with enough numbers they will fine tune rates.. so read on in the posts below..... and signup if you can attend.

WHEN: May Bank holiday weekend.. Saturday, April 30 to Sunday May 1
Two nights or one.. you choose. Come for one evening or stay the weekend if you can
WHERE: The Islander’s Rest, Sherkin Island, West Cork
WHAT: The wind in your eyes and the spray in your hair, cobwebs all gone and stuff and stuff... one time in band camp.... Come alone or bring a friend, all welcome and we’re going to have such fun ....
Your cost will depend on whether you come for the weekend or just for night.
The island is a beautiful place to relax and chill out. For the more active and adventurous, there’s a rib ride around the island on the Sunday morning... any other plans are up to you.
Price quoted by venue for one night B&B, including dinner on the Saturday night is 70.00 euros... for two night's B&B, including dinner and the rib ride is 125.00 euros. They will confirm to me if the single night rate includes the rib ride, which would probably happen on the Sunday, dependant on weather.
Ferry to the Island is from Baltimore

I suspect for a lot of us, this will be our last meet, at least the last big one. It's a pity so many of the old gaurd had to cancel. I think this may be goodbye for quite a few of us!
Some have partnered up and others like myself have taken off in a different direction. Feel a wee bit sad about this one!
