I think that if people sign up for a meet they should prove that they are serious about it by maybe sending a deposit to the organizer of the event.
It must be so dissapointing for someone to have put lots of their time into such an event.
I have not signed up for any meets yet and won't until I am CERTAIN that I can be there.

i think thats a bit harsh to say the least 
circumstances change etc.. i know i was planning on goin til 3 weeks when i got told my holidays in work are the last 2 weeks of this month so in unsigned.. people are entitled to change their mind may they wish to do so.. doesn necessarily mean the need to unsign as the sign up page is a page for those who are intersted in goin not necessarily are 100% goin....

Godsgift: Sadly, another meet gone wrong by people who have no intention of going, some of who should know better, signing up to attend. That's the kind of wasters we have on this site lately. 4 members and 3 guests turned up. For 2 of the members this was their first meet and very disappointing.
So 5 of us came home after only one day. Perhaps a reminder to us all not to take people on here at face value.
I wouldn't hold out much hope for the Donegal meet!

I signed up initially hoping I could go but unsigned when I knew there was no hope of getting the cash together in time. I was definitely interested in going though if I could have afforded it.

At one point 41 people were booked up and 4 show up. This site is full of time wasters and liars in my humble opinion! Tell me honestly.....just how many do you see going to Donegal out of the ones who have signed.
I'll certainly never arrange or attend another meet.

why should u feel obligied to attend a meet just because u sign up like i said circumstances change, the sign up page is only an indicator of whose interested in attending a meet... anyways enough of this thread like i said hope those who went made the most of it.. after all u get what u take from a night out

Its an Island off the coast of Kerry, its a bit too far out of the way so your not going to get a good crowd at it, You would only get a decent sized crowd in Dublin because its central, not the arsehole of kerry

i understand ur disappointed with the turn out.. had i attended and made the effort to go i 2 would be disappointed.. donegal could very well turn out the same but uve got to make the most of it anyways

i dont understand uf infatuation with making things look good.. im starting to sound like a broken record but the sign up page is only an indicator of those interested.. read the first page of every sign up.. it says clearly in big bold letters.. if ur interested in attending SIGN UP..

thats fair enough.. altho i think ur a wee bit over critical of those who genuinely couldn make it.. i know there was a few like myself who couldn attend for genuine reasons who would norm attend meets.. we unsigned.. those that didn fair enough is bad manners.. but i saw in the thread people asking who was still goin.. and not many replid with def yes.. that alone was a bit worrying for me..

I think it actually says to sign up if you wish to attend so that organisers can plan the event.
Glatlol: The place hasnt moved since people signed up..,they knew where it was at the time.
I know things can happen and people dont make it to meets however over 30 that had signed up not arriving smacks of bad manners at least.
