Becoming a Force for Good

Embedded image from another site

by Peter Amsterdam 5/13

A key element to successfully reaching our part of the world with the Gospel message is showing a tangible example of God’s love to our community, our neighbors, our co-workers, colleagues and schoolmates, relatives, friends, and acquaintances.

Manifesting God’s love to those whom the Lord places in our path each day is at the heart of becoming a force for good. As the apostle Paul said, “the love of Christ compels us.” In whatever specific ways the Lord leads each of us to reach our part of the world with His love, He has called us as Christians to be “the light of the world.” He has told us to “let your light shine before people, so that they will see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Letting that light shine in such a way that people will see your good works and see them as a reflection of God’s love is at the heart of the concept of being a force for good in your community, in your neighborhood, and in the lives of others.

Throughout the centuries, since the earliest days of Christianity, Christians have often reached the world through becoming known as a “force for good” in their community. Even when others didn’t necessarily embrace the Christians’ faith or understand their religion, or when they were persecuted and maligned, their kind deeds and good works shone brightly before all men, resulting in people wanting to know what made them so different from much of society. As the apostle Peter said in his Epistle, “Live such good lives among the that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God.”

As we each strive to reach out and become one with the local community; as we provide assistance—spiritual or practical, or both—to those the Lord puts in our path; as we do our part to bring God’s love to others and to better their lives in whatever ways we are able, our witness and our works will grow and serve as a “candle on a candlestick” to shine forth His light and a “city set on a hill” to draw others to Him.

While many members of TFI have been reaching the world faithfully for decades and making a difference in the lives of people and in the countries they have served, our hope is that we will become even more effective in reaching the world and being a force for good in our local communities.

Let’s pray about ways in which we can build a positive presence in our local communities and truly become known as a force for good. Let’s ensure that our presentation of our faith and our works is professional, relatable, and appealing to the people we’re trying to reach.

We have so much to offer people, including our neighborhoods and local communities—a personal relationship with Jesus, answers to problems, assistance for those in need, and a vision for this life and for the future.

If we’re going to be effective in our outreach and reaching our part of the world, fostering goodwill in our local and national communities is an important key.—Being relevant to the people we are trying to reach and finding out what is meaningful to them, what is needed in the community, where we can make a difference in ways that will resonate as being helpful, appreciated, and relevant.

Alleviating Worry

Embedded image from another site

Posted: Activated 2/12

Question: Sometimes I feel like I’m being overcome with worries. What can I do to stop worrying so much?

Answer: Who doesn’t worry sometimes? We worry about what’s going to happen in the world. We worry about failing in school or in our work. We worry that we won’t be able to make ends meet financially. We worry about how we’re going to make up for mistakes we’ve made or opportunities we missed. We worry about our future. We worry about losing the ones we love. We worry about so many things!

Most worries come down to one of two things: fretting about past failures and situations gone wrong, or fearing the future.

How can we keep those fears from affecting us? One good answer can be found in an unexpected place—the modern ocean liner. Ocean liners are constructed with fireproof, watertight steel doors that, in the event of fire or serious leakage, can seal off the damaged compartment and contain the problem so the ship can stay afloat.

So it should be in the “ship” of our lives. In order to make the most of today and best prepare for the future, we have to learn to seal ourselves off from worries about yesterday with its mistakes and failures, as well as from overblown concerns about tomorrow. Otherwise our worries may flood us and drag us under.

Have you ever noticed that it’s the things that never happen that seem to worry us the most? One businessman drew up what he called a “worry chart,” where he kept a record of his fears. He discovered that 40% of them were about things that probably would never happen, 30% concerned past decisions that he could not change, 12% had to do with other people’s criticism of him, and 10% were unfounded worries about his health. He concluded that there were valid reasons for only 8% of his worries.

As Christians we don’t have to fear or worry about anything, because we have the assurance that “all things work together for good to those who love the Lord.”1 The famous evangelist Dwight L. Moody (1837–1899) used to say, “You can travel first class or second class to heaven. Second class is, ‘What time I am afraid, I will trust,’ and first class is, ‘I will trust, and not be afraid.’2 So why not buy a first-class ticket?”

Why Christmas

Embedded image from another site

posted by Thea December 22, 2013

There was once a man who didn’t believe in God, and he didn’t hesitate to let others know how he felt about religion and religious holidays, like Christmas. His wife, however, did believe, and she raised their children to also have faith in God and Jesus, despite her husband’s disparaging comments.

One snowy Christmas Eve, his wife was taking their children to a Christmas Eve church service in the farm community in which they lived. She asked him to come, but he refused.

“That story is nonsense!” he said. “Why would God lower Himself to come to earth as a man? That’s ridiculous!”

So his wife and children left, and he stayed home.

A while later, the winds grew stronger and the snow turned into a blizzard. As the man looked out the window, all he saw was a blinding snowstorm. He sat down to relax in front of the blaze in the fireplace.

A short while later, he heard a loud thump. Something had hit the window. Then another thump. He looked out but couldn’t see more than a few feet.

When the storm let up a little, he ventured outside to see what could have been beating on his window. In the field near his house, he saw a flock of wild geese. Apparently, they had been flying south for the winter when they got caught in the snowstorm and couldn’t go on. They were lost and stranded on his farm, with no food or shelter.

The man felt sorry for the geese and wanted to help them. The barn would be a great place for them to stay, he thought. It’s warm and safe. They could spend the night there and wait out the storm. So he walked over to the barn and opened the doors wide, then watched and waited, hoping they would notice the open barn and go inside. But the geese just fluttered around aimlessly and didn’t seem to notice the barn or realize what it could mean for them. The man tried to get their attention, but that just scared them farther away.

Embedded image from another site

He went into the house and came out with some bread, broke it up, and made a breadcrumb trail leading to the barn. They still didn’t catch on.

Now he was getting frustrated. He got behind them and tried to shoo them toward the barn, but they only got more scared and scattered in every direction except toward the barn. Nothing he did could get them to go into the barn where they would be warm and safe.

“Why don’t they follow me?!” he exclaimed. “Can’t they see this is the only place where they can survive the storm?”

He thought for a moment and realized that they just wouldn’t follow a human. “If only I were a goose, then I could save them,” he said out loud.

Then he had an idea. He went into the barn, got one of his own geese, and carried it in his arms as he circled around behind the flock of wild geese. When he released it, his goose flew through the flock and straight into the barn. One by one, the wild geese followed it to safety.

The man stood still and silent as the words he had spoken a few minutes earlier replayed in his mind: If only I were a goose, then I could save them!

Then he thought about what he had said to his wife earlier. “Why would God want to be like us? That’s ridiculous!” Suddenly it all made sense. That is what God had done. We were like the wild geese—blind, lost, confused, dying. So God had His Son become like us, so He could show us the way and save us. That was the meaning of Christmas, he realized.

As the winds and blinding snow died down, his soul became quiet and pondered this wonderful thought. Suddenly he understood what Christmas was all about, why Christ had come. Years of doubt and disbelief vanished like the passing storm. He fell to his knees in the snow and prayed his first prayer: “Thank You, God, for coming in human form to get me out of the storm!”

Miracles

Embedded image from another site

by Virginia Brandt Berg

Did miracles actually happen in the past and do they still happen today?

The Bible contains many accounts of miracles. Of course, you meet some intellectuals who contend--often in an inflated academic style and supercilious language--that the miracles recorded in the Bible either never happened or can be explained scientifically, or if they did happen, such miracles are impossible today. Well, those miracles did happen just like the Bible says they did, and in every case it only took two elements: the power of God and someone's faith. The power of God hasn't changed, of course, so whenever that power is met by the faith of some sincere believer, you can expect to see a miracle. It happens all the time!

Faith in the Bible creates faith in the miraculous. The Bible not only reveals the acts of the supernatural God, but it also imparts faith to anyone who reads it with an open heart (Romans 10:17). The Bible has a miraculous, transforming effect on our lives, and that gives us faith for other miracles. Faith in God and His Son Jesus Christ, faith in the Christ of the Bible, makes for faith in our everyday lives. That's because real faith believes in the changeless Christ, and His power brings the same results today as it did during His earthly ministry and through His original followers.

Shortly before His crucifixion Jesus promised, "He who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father" (John 14:12). Then after His resurrection, when He appeared to His disciples, He said that signs (miracles) would follow those who believed in Him, and miracles did follow (Mark 16:17-18, 20). It wasn't long before others were saying of the first Christians, "These who have turned the world upside down have come here too" (Acts 17:6). Those first followers and the ones who were to come had such confidence that the supernatural power of God was at their command that they dared to challenge the mighty Roman Empire and shook it to its very foundations.

If Jesus is "the same yesterday, today, and forever" (Hebrews 13:8), why is it so hard to believe that He, in answer to prayer, will do the same kinds of miracles today? Wherever you find real faith manifested, you will find miracles. God's faithfulness to His Word absolutely compels Him to perform miracles.

"It took a miracle to put the stars in place.
It took a miracle to hang the World in space.
But when He saved my soul, cleansed and made me whole,
It took a miracle of Love and Grace."

Sharing the Christmas Love

Embedded image from another site

A compilation 12/13

It’s that wonderful season again, a season to celebrate the Lord’s love in coming to earth to redeem us! It’s a season when people in the world are more open than usual to receiving a witness, and it’s a wonderful time to witness and reach out to others with our Savior’s love and truth. I won’t say that this could be our last Christmas, but it will be the last Christmas for many people. For many in the world, this will be their last chance to receive Jesus on earth.

Most of us have enjoyed many Christmases in our lifetimes, but we don’t know how many more we can count on. Let’s take advantage of this one, and as many more as we have, to preach the Gospel in all the world for a witness, so that the end can come.1

But even when it isn’t Christmastime‚ we should feel compelled to share the faith, love, joy, and hope that we so abundantly have with the people the Lord brings across our path. As Paul said, we are “compelled by God to preach the Good News.”2

God is so good to us. He gives us so much. And what does He most desire? He wants as many of His children as possible to know Him, to love Him, and to be not only redeemed from death but also from the fear and emptiness of the world, and to have heaven in their hearts through a personal connection with Him.

Doing all we can to bring that to pass is a calling worth living for. We’re familiar with the concept of making sacrifices and forsaking to follow Jesus, and we try to die daily to ourselves so that we can live for Him and others.3 The Christmas season is a great time to ask the Lord to renew our passion for Him and for witnessing.

I pray that as we each determine to share His life-giving message with those He places in our path, we’ll have the best Christmas possible, and the Lord will receive the best gifts He could ever hope to receive—more of His children entering into an eternal relationship with Him.—Maria Fontaine

For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. … We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.—Titus 2:11–144

I speak to you from the depths of eternity. Before the world was formed, I am! You hear Me in the depths of your being where I have taken up residence. I am Christ in you, the hope of glory. I, your Lord and Savior, am alive within you. Learn to tune in to My living presence by seeking Me in silence.

As you celebrate the wonder of My birth in Bethlehem, celebrate also your rebirth into eternal life. This everlasting gift was the sole purpose of My entering your sin-stained world. Receive My gift with awe and humility. Take time to explore the vast dimensions of My love. Allow thankfulness to flow freely from your heart in response to My glorious gift. Let My peace rule in your heart and be thankful.—Jesus, speaking in prophecy5

Let’s never lose the true meaning of Christmas, nor let the true symbolism of the tree and the genuine Christ Spirit of Christmas become drowned in all the confusion of this world and its worldliness. Let’s glorify the Lord at Christmastime!—David Brandt Berg

How to Find Real Love

---- IMAGE REMOVED because photobucket.com no longer allows embedded images ----

by David Berg 11/09

To be genuine and lasting, romantic love must be based on a more enduring foundation than mere physical attraction or fleshly gratification.

It must include an unselfish desire to protect and help and make someone else happy. It must also involve admiration for the other person’s finer qualities. A person can be in love with their partner’s mind, spirit, sentiments, and bearing—all of which have little or nothing to do with physical beauty. Real love is a spiritual thing; it’s not merely physical. It’s mostly manifested in spiritual and mental companionship and compatibility, the likes and dislikes and habits that the two people have in common.

When I was a young man, my mother once told me not to put the physical features first in my quest for a soul mate, but to seek something more in a woman than that. “Most of all,” she advised, “seek that indefinable thing called personality. Seek the liveliness of the spirit, the fascination of the mind, the irresistibility of the heart, the magnanimity of the soul.” The things of this earth can satisfy the body, but God has made us so that our spirit can only be satisfied by the things of the spirit.

God’s Word tells us, “Do not love the world or the things in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. The world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.”1 “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.”2 “For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”3 God didn’t say we wouldn’t or shouldn’t need or desire or enjoy the things of this life, but He admonishes us not to have an inordinate love for them to the point that we put these things before the even greater needs of our spirit.

If you put the desires of the flesh first, then you’ll find that nothing ever satisfies, not even the most total indulgence. Those who seek only to gratify their flesh will never find complete satisfaction and happiness. The things of this earth can satisfy the body, but only God and His true love can ever fill that aching spiritual void in the heart, because He created that place for Himself alone.

True happiness comes not in your personal pursuit of selfish pleasure and satisfaction, but in finding God and giving His love and life to others, and bringing them happiness. Then happiness will pursue and overtake and overwhelm you, personally, without you even seeking it for yourself.

That’s the secret: Look for someone to make happy, and then happiness will find you! “He who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.”4 Those are God’s laws of the spirit and are just as definite as the laws of physics, such as the law of gravity. God’s laws of the spirit never fail. They always work for you or against you, depending on your actions and motives. And the first law is the law of love—unselfish love for Him and others. If you will obey that law and give the love that is His and others’ due, you will also receive love, “for with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”5

Life, liberty, and the giving of happiness to others—these are things that only God can give and the only things that will ever satisfy your spirit. So if you want to be happy and make someone else truly happy, seek the satisfaction of the spirit that can be found only in God and His love!

* * *.

Don’t take it for granted that others know you love them. Tell them how special they are. Tell them how much you need them. Tell them how much you enjoy their company. Tell them how happy they make you.—And say it so often they can’t forget it.—Shannon Shayler

Look of Love

Embedded image from another site

By David Berg - 4/74

"Love at first sight" is quite possible, and to respond with love to a loving look is a very normal reaction, as "love begets love." For it is very easy to "fall in love with love." To see love in someone's eyes is a psychological, emotional, physiological and spiritual phenomenon which no one can quite explain any more than the seventh wonder of the World, which King Solomon called "the way of a man with a maid."––Pro.30:18,19.

For "eyes are the windows of the soul." For some inexplicable reason known to God alone, it is often possible for some to look into another's eyes and read the very thoughts and intents of the heart.

We are told that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" at times, and therefore "love is blind" or "has an extra eye" which sees beauty the rest of us cannot see.

For all these and many other reasons, eyesight is undoubtedly the most important of all our five physical senses and borders the closest on the spiritual or psychological senses, such as instinct, intuition, sixth sense or extrasensory perception.

Eyes can even convey hatred or love or embarrassment or deceitfulness or anger. Guilt, pride and many other human emotions are indicated by the look of the eyes as expressed in some of our common sayings such as: "If looks could kill I'd be dead by now," or "His eyes pierced like steel," or "Her eyes were radiant with expectancy."

They can show joy and happiness or hurt and sorrow and their tears can be a signal of grief, pain or heartbreak, or tears of pleasure and rejoicing, or we can even laugh till we cry!

Eyes are the greatest betrayers of the true emotions within and are indeed the windows of our very souls, which is why we often say, "Look me in the eye!" A shifty-eyed character is immediately felt to be untrustworthy, one who will not look you in the eye or whose eyes shift about as though seeking some place to hide or whose eyes fall in embarrassment or guilt.

Eyes can also send out a message for help. Other eyes give us a mere fleeting glance indicating total disinterest and indifference and coolness of emotions, or they can be searchingly seeking for answers, or passionately romantic and filled with desire and longing and hopefulness, or their gaze can be dull and lifeless, hopeless and full of pained frustration.

The eyes are positively the most genuinely expressive part of our entire bodies aside from our tongue, but are even more reliable than our tongues to express our true emotions and our real feelings. The tongue can say one thing while the eyes show another; the mouth may smile while the eyes hate, or the hurt eyes of love deny the regretted words of anger.

The eye has an almost extra-sensory power of perception and can convey and receive messages silently and motionlessly like no other human organ.

The eyes are the most wonderful of all human organs and can be the most useful or the most dangerous of all our senses with which we are endowed by God.

Eyes are extremely spiritual and have uncanny powers of which you may never have dreamed––powers over you and powers over others. Watch out how you use them! Note how in our most serious warning we even use an expression denoting the importance of the eye: "Watch!" Jesus put "Watch!" even before "Pray!"

The eye can be a very useful organ in witnessing as you are looking for possible responsive subjects for your witness. Your greatest witness is love, and the eyes are the first to show it as well as the first to receive it.

The eyes have it! The eyes started it! The eyes did it and the eyes finished it! All hail to the eyes as the most potent witnesses of God's Love!

For your loving looks have the loving answer to the need of every hungry heart––the look of love which unlocks the doors of many of the hardest and heaviest hearts. Give a look for love and love for a look!

Messianic Psalm

Embedded image from another site

Jesus Fulfilled King David’s “Messianic Psalm”, 22.

by Power Point Paradise • June 30, 2011

When Jesus hung on the cross, one of his last words was very significant. It seemed like he quoted the first verse of Psalm 22 when he cried out “My God my God why hast thou forsaken me.” He was not merely quoting, as those words were the true confession of his soul’s experience at that moment. For indeed the Father had left Jesus alone, to allow him to die the sinner’s death, separated from God and in utter desperation and loneliness.

But apart from this witness that he died the death for others, “cursed hanging on the tree”, he was actually leaving a clue to those of his countrymen who were sincere seekers of righteousness, and truly desired to know the truth of his life and suffering and his mission: “Was he really the Messiah?”

You can just picture a priest or Pharisee running home after witnessing Jesus’ suffering on the cross and his subsequent death. He heard Jesus last words, and perhaps also witnessed the Roman soldier piercing his chest with the spear, and finally the removal of his body by his friends to bury him.

“Yeshua was the Messiah! He quoted Psalm 22! He fulfilled Psalm 22!”

{vs. 1-8}

“Those were the exact words of some Farisees today”, he continued, “when they passed by and reviled him, wagging their heads. That’s what they were saying, ‘Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.’ Similarly also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said, ‘He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him. He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.’ Even the thieves also which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth. Here continue reading…”

{vs. 9-13}

“Everybody sure was gaping upon him with their mouths today. Continue…”

{vs. 14-16}

“Here, you see? That’s exactly what happened today! The very way he died, by crucifixion! That form of execution wasn’t known in King David’s day. Why should David write it like that, unless he received it in prophecy direct from God? ‘All my bones are out of joint. They pierced my hands and my feet!’

{vs. 17-18}

“Wow! I didn’t realise this yet. Again exactly what the soldiers did today. Fulfilled to the letter! Because the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: But as the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout, I heard them say among themselves, ‘Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be.’ That’s exactly what the soldiers did! I saw it with my own eyes! Wow! Amazing. It is like living in the Tanakh.”

{vs. 19-21}

“I don’t know about this last part yet. But if he really was the Son of God, the Messiah, well then that should be fulfilled too somehow.”

Thus far our dear Pharisee’s report of what happened that fateful day.

Well, we know the rest of it was, and is still being, fulfilled today. Three days and nights later Jeshua was risen from the dead, and DID go ahead to fulfill the rest of these words.

He appeared in the midst of His distraught disciples in his now glorious resurrection body, and was later seen of 500 brethren at once, before He ultimately left this world, and sat down at the right hand of the Father.

{vs. 22-28}

All fulfilled in detail. He is the governor among the nations, even though the nations haven’t accepted that fact yet, they will, when they see Him shortly coming in the clouds of Heaven with power and great glory

{vs. 29-31}

(Romans 5:8)

Constant Companion

Embedded image from another site

Written by Message from Jesus 11/13

I want to be a very present companion, counselor, and help to you—not merely someone you know of, or someone you met once but rarely think about or talk to, or even an advisor that you consult from time to time when you have a problem or need to make an important decision. I want to be a constant, loving presence.

I want to communicate with you personally and directly, and not in a distant, formal, or mental sort of way, but heart to heart. I want us to commune as intimates would, to talk things over, to reach decisions together, and to sometimes communicate without saying a word. I want to develop a bond of love between us that you’ve never experienced with anyone else and can’t even imagine.

Learning to converse freely with Me, like learning to be natural, open, honest, and trusting in your communications with any friend, is something that comes with time and practice. It may feel awkward or even seem like work at first, learning to come into My presence and recognize My voice, but if you will do your part by making that effort, I will speak to you. I may give you ideas or solutions or answers to your questions, or I may give you a feeling of peace and well-being, or I may simply tell you how special you are to Me and how much I enjoy being with you. I’m full of surprises, so you’ll never know what to expect, but this I promise: I will never disappoint you!

Forest Fire

Embedded image from another site

Written by Edmund Faroe 11/13

Over the past decades, violent forest fires have swept the wooded areas of North America, wiping out huge tracts of woodland and often destroying entire neighborhoods. It has not always been like this. Although some fire has always been a part of the local ecology, these problematic massive fires are a fairly recent development.

In the not-so-distant past, fires rolled sporadically through the forest, not only leaving a smoky trail of devastation, but also bringing life. Fire transforms the ground layers of dead vegetation into rich soil—a process which otherwise takes decades. Rotting trees tumble under the roar of the fire, making room in the canopy for healthy new growth. Pine cones release their seeds when in contact with the heat, giving birth to new trees. So beneficial was this process that Native American tribes were known to regularly set fire to the forest to preserve its robustness.

Things began to change in the early 1900s. Well-meaning conservationists declared fire the forest’s number one enemy. What they didn’t realize at the time was that in trying to prevent destruction, they were setting the stage for greater, deadlier fires.

While the natural fires had burned mildly and superficially, leaving the trees charred but alive, the new fires were another story. Fueled by years of accumulated tinder, they would climb the heights of full-grown trees, ending their lives in minutes with a final deafening clap. The accumulated heat would create its own weather systems—literal firestorms, where barreling masses of searing air would ignite the forest grounds in seconds, outrunning even a sprinting human.

Gradually, foresters began to understand the extent of the disservice they were doing to nature, and now, nearly a century later, the pro-fire approach is gaining support once more.

We often try to remove all suffering from life, without realizing we are causing a greater ill. It’s easy to forget that times of difficulty and trials are an integral part of life and can have positive effects, and we seem to easily lapse into thinking that they are a sign that there is something wrong with us, that our life is somehow jinxed, or that God has turned away from us.

The Image of Daniel 2

Isaiah 14:16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

Christ dismissed this reasoning by stating that good and evil are both liberally distributed in the world, with no distinction as to the religious or moral inclinations of the individual. “ makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.”1 God is not some kind of Santa who only brings presents for the good children.

“In the world you will have tribulation,” Jesus told us.2 In other words, troubles are more of a guarantee than a stroke of bad luck. Actually, the process of tribulation can help us reevaluate our lives, shed outdated mindsets, and discover our priorities.

Hardship is bitter enough on its own, without adding guilt to the package. We could grow so much more if we would embrace our trials as learning experiences, moments of profound significance that equip us to help others. God “comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us.”3

CAN ANYONE REALLY SEE THE FUTURE

Embedded image from another site

St. John Sees New Jerusalem

by Gustaf Dorée

So many today are seeking for real answers. As the outlook gets darker, the uplook gets only brighter. These last few years the world has gone from one Earth-shaking crisis to another. While some say that we are on the threshold of a Brave New World Order, others warn that humanity now totters on the brink of unprecedented disaster and chaos! Reading the news nowadays is not the most cheerful way to start the day! Day by day the world's problems grow more desperate and insurmountable. The question which plagues every thinking person is...What lies ahead?

But has any mortal man ever been able to transcend the bounds of time & peer into the future? Throughout history there have been many who have claimed such powers, and some like Nostradamus, the Fatima Children, Edgar Cayce and Jeane Dixon are widely accepted as having predicted various future events.

But thousands of years ago, ancient prophets and seers of the Bible received trance-like visions enabling them to see far into the future, sometimes thousands of years ahead. They heard voices of angels speaking the words of God and they wrote them down for all generations to follow: even detailed acccurate descriptions of the Last Days of man's rule on earth, the times in which we are now living! How does God know the future?! Daniel 2:28

Many of these predictions and prophecies tell us exactly what our world would be like just before the Return of Jesus and His take-over of this world! Most of these predictions are already being fulfilled in this generation today! It shows that the "countdown" has begun and we are living in the great Time of the End!

The Bible and the words of God are actually the only real newspapers in the world! Regular newspapers only tell us what already happened!--Yesterday! So they're not really newspapers, but rather history papers! The Bible tells us what is going to happen tomorrow! It is full of thousands of already fulfilled, detailed prophecies, actually describing specific people, places, times, situations and events, often thousands of years before they came into being. Isaiah 34:16, 42:9

The world stage is now being set for the fulfillment of one awesome vision that many of these seers had in common: an event so cataclysmic that it will change the World as we now know it, for ever...the final apocalypse and Armageddon! And the hope of millions of people in these the Last Days of the dramatic wonderful and hopeful Return of Jesus Christ from the skies, just as predicted when He left this Earth 2000 years ago.

NEWS from Syria

REAL VIDEO NEWS from Syria @ Israeli ‘Samson Option’. So-called anti war movement? Dead!

by Power Point Paradise • 8/11

Another interesting video from Syria to Morris Herman about what is really going on inside Syria. It also covers the weird attitudes of Iran & Turkey regarding Syria and Libya, and how the so-called “Freedom Activists” are just armed rebels paid by some rich businessmen who are staging these anti Syrian actions.

This again is a must watch video again by Morris, showing how the Western Elite’s puppets and dupes, and NATO, are creating and setting the conditions for World War III that will remake the World into a One World Government.

The masses of Europe are incapacitated to go protest these warmongers on the streets, or to put pressure on their governments, because normally those are organised by the Socialist Lefties. These are now very quiet and “behaving themselves”, most likely under direct NWO orders to not oppose their Masters’ NATO actions. The “Anti War Movement” is not dead, but it always was just controlled opposition.

And there are few or no alternative leaders or initiatives in a position to organise a majority of interests and to get off their behinds to recruit a mass street movement. And even if they would or could get millions on the streets, the controlled media would not report on it. But the elite controls and turns the necks of most of the heads of any so-called activists. And now it is even a crime to use Twitter or Facebook to organise any extra parlementarian street action. Even the Muslims in the UK & France are mum on the dismantling of Arab nationalism. Are their social movements also “beheaded” and controlled opposition now? They could only burn cars! Pathetic.

You can easily see how the UK riots were beneficial for the elite. Qui bono! In the UK now it has begun to be against the law to mount any street protests, because of these elite staged riots! Who says the system doesn’t work? It works great! Very repressive! And thus the elite and their NATO puppets have free reign to destroy nations left and right, especially Arab nations to please Zionist Israel.

And the West? Americans and Europeans who deplore all this genocide and war crimes have no more voice or power to effect their governments to change this cruel course to totalitarianism and repression everywhere.

Well, maybe some people are beginning to wake up that God IS after all their only hope! He alone has the power to change this world. And He will. It is predicted that the return of Jeus Christ will obliterate all evil and its perpetrators. “Watch therefore! For ye know not what hour your Lord cometh!”

Be sure though…He IS COMING SOON!
