Disneyland Bound at 0400

Today I leave for Disneyland in Anaheim, CA at 4 am. I told my beau I would sleep but I haven’t slept. I can’t. Every time I go somewhere with impending excitement I can’t sleep. But I will try here shortly after this writing. I have to leave by 0400 to get there by 0800. Oh the anticipation!

The new place I absolutely must see there is Galaxy’s Edge. I haven’t been to Disneyland since they opened that. I want to drive the millennium falcon and indulge in the chocolate popcorn and spiked blue milk. I want to be spooked by Kylo Ren. I want the full experience.

The day after that is when I will meet my beau in LA and he will officially ask me to be his girlfriend. Omg I cannot wait as he’s been consistent with me. He wanted me to be a girlfriend sooner but I just wasn’t sure. I didn’t want to rush it. He said okay, I’m sure about you now but I’ll respect your wishes.

Be still my beating heart!

Say a prayer for me as I rummage through the chaos that is LA. uh oh

More options within the site.

Just was curious after talking with a few friends, if not only this site but other sites like this one should have more options as to the genders category, along with with more options of the preference the person is attracted to and seeking. It's almost like a poll I guess, but I was just curious based on what I talked about with my friends.

Great News

I am now recertified as a medical assistant from the board of California of medical assistants. Today I get my moderna booster so that I can put it on my resume. I told my boss and he said that’s great news but I don’t want you leaving me, I thought you were going to work with me. I understand though if it’s a better paying job. I said it was what I went to college for.

I think I have a way to stay with him though that he would like. I’m going to tell him on the 3rd. I didn’t think they would recertify me this quickly but apparently I already finished the necessary requirements. He was a bit surprised and sad. I told him I was going to let him know once I started looking for another job again(which I haven’t started). That process takes months from experience. He said yeah okay in a sad tone. Omg I feel so sad now. I hope he’ll like my idea.

But how he found out was that I brought my paperwork to work so that I could finish it. He said what’s all this? I just told him. I wasn’t trying to hide anything. He’s very observant when it comes to my life. That makes me feel good. Not very many people care what’s going on with me besides my immediate family.

Grand Canyon Visit

It is my 40th birthday in September so I am taking a trip to the Grand Canyon on the 20th of this month.

My car mechanic informed me that in order to take the trip I will need 4 brand new tires which my father has volunteered to pay for. Thank God because tires are expensive. I will be driving so my mechanic recommended all 4 tires be replaced.

I’ve never taken a trip out of state alone so that’s a reason why my father has obliged to pay for my tires. He is encouraging me to take this trip. I couldn’t ask for better parents.

If I was younger I would be terrified to take this trip alone but since I’m an old fart now I have no fear whatsoever. I would just like some advice from some older wiser folks here about taking trips alone.

So far I have secured a hotel in Williams, Arizona. A city just below the Grand Canyon. It was cheaper than the Air BnB that I was eyeballing. Arizona is cheaper than California I’m noticing.

Anyway any travelers here are welcome to give me advice as this is the first time I will take a trip and trek out of state alone. I have already secured a ticket for my vehicle to enter the Grand Canyon as well.

Thank you in advance.

P.S. I chose to go this month instead of September because a lot can change in our country in 4 months. Might as well go now.

The name Shawn

The name Shawn is both a boy's name and a girl's name of Irish origin meaning "God is gracious".
This name is the anglicized version of the Irish Séan, which itself comes from the Hebrew name John.
Alternate spellings include Shawne, Shaun and Sean.

As for spelling it Sean, I'm glad my mom didn't go that route with my name. That spelling always made me think of the word "seen". I feel that the spelling "Shawn" is the best way. IMO

Ouch

I restrung my guitar a few days ago and decided on a new string and a new string size. I went up in size and got a higher output string. Sounds great, the online reviews were correct. Because I got bigger strings though, my hand is not used to the tension and my hand is a bit sore now. Also, I was so honed in on the size I was using, I got to retrain my hands to do what they were used to doing on a smaller string. In a few weeks, most of that should be taken care of but for the moment, its a slightly painful retraining exercise.

They sound good though, worth the effort grin

Pet Peeves

We all have them, and if you don't think you have any, well then I say you're kidding yourself, or lying about having them. laugh

I have a few, and here they are...

1. Inconsiderate people

2. Drivers who don't use turn signals when they turn

3. A driver pulls up to a stop sign at a four-way stop, and then you pull up to one on the other side, and then another car pulls up behind the car you're waiting on to go so you can continue ends up pulling up to the stop sign after the other car goes and continues on through the stop sign when in fact you have the right of way. This happened to me for the very first time yesterday on my way to work. Talking about being p*ssed off. very mad

4. Thoughtless people

5. Noise pollution

6. Car stereo systems with bass turned up high to where it shakes everything around you

If you have any, feel free to list your pet peeves.

indoctrinated into darkness...What is the next move?

What is the next move?

I see it here in my small local communities...people openly accepting and displaying their desire to not only follow dark religions, but to show it with clothing they wear.

From what I see...it started with dividing people.
Then it followed with the genders becoming confused.
It then became where the genders went to war with each other...hating each other.
The next stage, we see the social acceptance of the dark religion through media and music.
Now today, I see people openly displaying their acceptance of this darkness.

Do you see the progression too?

What is the next stage/move?

Another side question...look at the progression I just mentioned. Does this progression mirror anything in history that we are aware of? Does Charlie Manson ring a bell? Does this not mirror the manipulation that Charlie Manson used...the only difference is, this is on a macro level.

So...what is the next stage/move?

Depressing and Judgmental.

I think it's so sad seeing people who have so much, acting so depressed and being so depressing.
I don't have all the answers but I mean I just wish people could take one day at a time and try to be positive throughout their time. It's almost like some people are afraid to be themselves.
Whether they are going through addiction or they have an eating disorder or they are gay or trans or overall just having a bad time in life. I think much of the depression comes from people being so judgmental. I don't know, just wanted to say that.
