A truly cautionary consideration....

...on election campaign signage.
The Vierk manor house on the Estate rests close to the street out front, which leads to our ocean Bay. Decades ago, our Public Ways Committee work, saved over a dozen such roads, each providing access for all to the shores. Nearly as many have disappeared over the centuries, usually by the greed of abutting land owners, small town old girl and boy connections, and corruption/cooperation of town administrators.
So we get a lot of foot and bike traffic passing by. The garden veggies we put out for the community seem much appreciated, and many know of our civic volunteering efforts, as above. And of the presence of our intimidating, but friendly, 50+ Kg GS dog Bravo.
Do I digress a bit as I broadcast virtue? Don't you just hate it?
But back to the topic. The (mostly) Democrat political signs in this liberally governed town are starting to appear on our road. As usual, surveys show that the largely silent and non-voting electorate is actually in the majority. And so it goes.
But the shrill/often destructive and violent style of the few altlefties is clear to all with ears and eyes to perceive---except for the few Syndromics, VERY syndromic, who suffer from cognitive distortion and denial, of many sorts. NYC, Portland, Seatle, Chicago, and many others, clearly show the differences between the respectful and orderly gatherings of, say, Tea Party sorts, and the "progressive" lawless paid anarchist rioting on the left.
But there's much more occurring on more personal levels.
At it's worst, many have suffered assault for having MAGA hats on, if they happen to venture into the wrong places. And private property often gets ignored by these lefties, when they get that feeling in the bosom, and the urge to act out their virtue signalling moral sense of superiority. Don't just take my words for it. Sure, it can occur on all sides of political spectrums, as with the deranged 17 YO toting his AR. But those who don't see the HUGE imbalances, well, they are full Syndrome sorts.
At much lower levels, campaign signage gets taken down. And rocks get thrown, and windows broken. Grafitti painted on public and private property. There's been a big BLM sign at the top of this road. People of my ilk typically wouldn't think of removing that sign. Different strokes.
So I'd like to put a T-P sign on our chimney. Way on high.
But the world is full of lower class units, who threaten to tear off limbs, or pummel faces, or jab with hot pokers. Some raised in certain ways are quite capable of many interesting actions. Including bullying.
So the cautionary consideration. VERY cautionary. And one more tedious Vierk dissertation.

Why are they doing this to me?

As the director of the prestigious Vierk Institute for the Study of Cognitive and Behavioral Political Disturbances, pride does come before the fall. Perhaps I was just a bit too smug about how well we had characterized the more severe forms of Thump Trump Derangement-Hilary Deficit Syndromes. After all, one need only to read a few postings/copy and posts from fake news sources, from the loony lefties here, for the usual displays of deep pathology. VERY deep.
But even I couldn't have predicted just how far the signs and symptoms can evolve.
Now here comes a Mz. Kathy Hochul, Lieutenant Gov. of Mr. Cuomo's Empire State of New York. In a full pander, virtue signalling, uncontrollable angry response to President Trump's belated (over a century) pardon of suffragette fighter, Susan B. Anthony, for her 1872 crime of trying to vote, one time House member Hochul had much to say.
She considers the act of the full pardon as somehow unforgivable. An unforgivable pardon, as it were.
Her reasoning is that, even though Miss Anthony broke the (then) laws by voting, "she did nothing wrong". Ghandi and womanizer/thesis plagiarizer MLK, would disagree, as fighting improper laws by breaking them first, then facing the music, was much in their style. VERY much
"His motives in granting this pardon cannot be for any good reason. Allow her to rest in peace.", quoth LG Hochul.
More in line with the most severe cases of TD-HD Syndrome visceral hate and distortions, this could not be. Even has me perplexed. I'm consulting with our epidemiologists, as perhaps we must consider a quite different disorder. And the emergent changes in our country will not please the alt-lefties.
Inclusion and diversity, all right. Of the least beneficial sorts, especially in the large cities.
Once again, the alt lefties confuse the politics of past times with those of today. Fits conveniently well with all their false, VERY false, narratives. Except, of course, for VP Biden's deep and rank real racism.
Live and learn.
Hope I'm not demoted, and lose my stuporvisory private, VERY private, access to all the hottie nubile interns.

Little seeds of sadness

Emotions are a strange thing; you never know what might trigger them, and it is quite often small -seemingly insignificant- things that stir them up unexpectedly.

The seemingly insignificant things that stirred my emotions recently were two packets of seeds; chive seeds, to be precise. I found them in the suitcase I bought last year to take on a trip that never happened. They would probably have remained forgotten and undiscovered indefinitely had my daughter not asked to borrow the suitcase, and I not checked to make sure it was empty before giving it to her.

I was supposed to be taking the seeds with me on the trip that never happened, and although there were several much more regrettable issues concerning its non-occurrence, the seeds are the most poignant reminder of a failed adventure.

Onions, we all know about, but who knew chives could make you cry? crying

Disablednessalizationarity of Blogs....

...many reasons for such, rarely are they rational. Mostly based on fear, especially when the nonsense in a given blog is the blogger's own brand of pap, and not simply all lifted from some fake, VERY fake, leftie biased media source.
Most pathetic when this cowardly, anti-free speech move, follows repeated pummeling with more valid counter argument. At its worse when the pummeler's beard is more manly, and exceptionally gorgeous and terribly beautiful. Shucks. And I was just getting warmed up to start the challenge on, among others, an anti-Keenesian basis. But no need to do so.
Astute readers will see it all for the cumbayah commie, usual self-loathing, white guilt US HS teacher level silliness, it so truly is.
And my proletarian background will beat yours any day of the week, pal. And trying to use it to win an argument, simply by broadcasting working class "virtue", really does round out the shameless show.
Voelker hoert die Signale, auf zum letzten Gefecht. Die INTERNATIONALE, erkaempft das Menschenrecht.
Sing it out loud, Bimbo.

Hangnail...

Last weekend I was carrying a car battery in a plastic case and cracked a fingernail. It was right up to the skin and I didn't want the hangnail to break off... so, I put a tiny amount of super glue on the nail to bond the loose piece back. Naturally, it only lasted a day and I had to trim the nail and redo the super glue treatment... twice.
It's a good thing my nails grow fast and I was able to trim the nail short getting past the part that was repaired.
Normally, I keep my nails less than 1/8" but when I'm busy (read: lazy) they are twice that. I know it's beyond the limits of 'good grooming' but... so be it.

Years ago, I worked with a lady who was from the Caribbean and took cosmetology in school. Part of her training was nails and hair. A few times I was the client (read: victim) so she could practice her skills.

At the time, I was doing drafting work with paper, pencil, erasers and plastic triangles. She trimmed my nails so short I couldn't pick up my tools. It was a few days like this until my nails grew out enough to pick up the triangle and thin metal erasing shield.

My brother used to bite his nails... nervous habit? Probably.
What a creepy feeling it must be not to have nails.
I would equate that to cutting a cats whiskers.
Let's see how far he could get sneaking around the bushes in pursuit of a bird.

Regn

Yesterday and today and tomorrow. And forecast is equally unpromising for the next 2 weeks. Can’t go swim, can’t go paddle. Sitting at home, posting stupid comments.

Harbal’s little frogs are all over the paths in the nearest forest. Can’t go there either: don’t want to stomp them to death, do I? Could be someone’s prince.

Supposed to be my vacation :/

Your 'Favorite' Trump lies

There's been so many lies by Trump, one would have difficulty remembering them all.

For instance;

The virus is a hoax by the democrats.
Mexico will pay for the wall.
Russia had nothing to do with online interference with the campaign. I believe Putin.
I'm a stable genius.
The meeting with the Russian woman was about adoptions.
I hire the best of the best.
Nobody has done more for the blacks than me.
We're going to win so much, that you'll be tired of winning.
I fired Comey, because he mishandled Hilary's email situation.
Nobody understands this more than me.
I know more about the military than the generals.
I'm in great shape.
Sessions should not have recused himself.
The virus will be gone like a miracle when the weather gets warmer in March.
The reason California has fires, is because they don't rake the forest like they do in Finland.
The blacks love me.
I will eliminate the national debt.
I will drain the swamp.
There was no quid pro quo.
Lock her up.
I was only in the bunker to inspect it.
There were very fine people on both sides.
The hurricane was supposed to hit Alabama.
I will rebuild the infrastructure.
Nobody knew that.
The Middle East is simple. I'll get them together and negotiate. It's what I do.
This was the greatest witch hunt in history.
They loved me in Puerto Rico.
No president was treated as bad as I am.
It's Obama's fault.
Ted Cruz's father conspired with Lee Harvey Oswald.
I will re-build the infrastructure.
My inauguration crowd was huge. It set a record.
You're going to win so much, that you'll be tired of winning.

I know that there's so many Trump lies, about 12,000 so far.
And clearly he's not done. Unfortunately, his term doesn't end for about another 6 months.
So, lots more lies are likely on the way.

But, if you had to choose a few, which were your 'favorite' Trump lies ?
