its not about dancing in the rain...in the lash of lightning blinded by its light...drenched in rain...enshrined in this cosmic temple... flying up kissing the littlest star..Receiving moon's glory on my face.. merging into the hues of twilight sometimes crimson sometimes even white.. swiftly flying away from sun's orange scorching.. snuggling in grey clouds..flying into the rush of streams then fall with its gush...caressing a petal all velvet mauve. singing along inside.. in tune.. in a full throat-ed bird's breast overflowing bursting.... into a symphony all silver and light...
ever in fervent obeisance... in adoration to the Creator
to be blessed with the gift of sight.... ah!

and totally grateful. While tending to my manly toilet in the downstairs bathroom, the window of which looks onto a healthy apple tree, ceteris parabus, I noticed what looked like snow on the grass. Lots of it. Here near the ocean in Maine, we can have a dusting as late as mid May, but rarely any later. And this stuff seemed whiter than usual. Double take, especially since the veggie garden is already planted. A little reflection proved that it was merely this lovely tree shedding her blossom petals. Sure sign of plentiful yummy pies and applesauces in a few months. Did I say "little" things in life? Huge! Aa.

Years ago when I was young, Best Beloved, there was a series of ads for a deodorant called Impulse. If you used it, the ad promised, handsome men would buy you flowers on, well, impulse. They'd run after you to give you the flowers. It was sweet.

Very fashionable nowadays to create your own perfume and promise women that they will enjoy a magical transformation. The fact I haven't eaten a proper meal in 20 years and work out 4 hours a day? Forget it. A dab of my new brand behind your ears and you will magically turn into me.



Today I took the dog for her walk and she found some fox droppings and before I could stop her was rolling around in the stuff, groaning with delight. She thinks she's the dog's dinner, right now. I think she stinks, even AFTER a wash-down.

Asking the men - do you like perfume on women? Strong, or just a faint fragrance? Old-fashioned and flowery scent, or bold and thrilling?

Because we spend a lot on the stuff, and sometimes I wonder if we might just as well be rolling in fox scat.

Lets face it, oh ye brilliant bloggers, sure, any wench can fly a fighter jet, sit in the con seat of a modern submarine, and command a missle destroyer. perhaps even drive an M1 Abrams or an Israeli Merkava. But come on, your squad is cut to pieces in an ambush after typically questionable Army Intelligence (an oxymoron, if there ever was one), you and some fat little six stone minority affirmative action hottie are all that's left of the unit, and she must drag your shot up tuchas back to cover, while the Seals get the Marine jets to lay their worst day down on the heads of the rag tops. How truly weak is your shiite, corporal? Same with police on dangerous calls. Aa.
