Various types of hair accessories

On Halloween I decided to put my hair in in a ponytail. Never done this before and thought I would try it. Had a lot of good feedback on it. I tried putting a black hair tie in my hair, but had a difficult time trying to do this, so I had a co worker help me with this. rolling on the floor laughing

Anyway, I tried to take it out of my hair after 4 1/2 hours into the shift since I felt it pulling my hair scalp since she wrapped it up pretty tied. She assisted me again on taking it out for me.

After that, I decided to try another way. Using a small black hair claw clip. Well, that worked a lot better. I wore that last Saturday.

I found a two piece package that had a black and the other color was a dusty pink. Not wearing the pink one. rolling on the floor laughing

Just curious to know what your favorite hair accessory to use for a ponytail. This is for anyone that sports a ponytail.

Hmmm... let me think about this.

The profile reads late 30's, dark blonde hair, blue eyes and she hates lies.
The photo is of a woman with white/grey hair and the black dye was done several months ago, brown eyes and appears to be in her mid 40's

Hmmm... let me think about this.

Digging your own grave

1 mouthful at a time

Overweight and obesity are the fifth leading risk for global deaths. At least 2.8 million adults die each year as a result of being overweight or obese. 44% of the diabetes burden, 23% of the ischaemic heart disease burden and between 7% and 41% of certain cancer burdens are attributable to overweight and obesity.

By one estimate, the U.S. spent $190 billion on obesity-related health care

Anklet for a beautiful women.....

An anklet can be worn on either ankle; there are no underlying messages on what it means to wear it on the left versus the right. However, you should never wear your ankle bracelet with pantyhose. It should be worn on bare legs only.

How do you measure for an ankle bracelet?

Measure with a non-stretchy string or flex tape above your ankle bone and add ¼". For example; if your ankle measures 8", you will need a 8¼ - 8¾" anklet. This will allow room to loosen or tighten the beaded anklet to fit just right.

Is wearing silver anklets good?
According to Ayurveda and modern science, silver reacts well with the Earth's energy, while gold reacts well with the body's energy and aura. Therefore, silver is worn as anklets or toe rings while gold is used to adorn the upper parts of the body.

What are the benefits of wearing anklet?
If you frequently experience leg pain, numbness, tingling, or general weakness in your legs, wearing an anklet might be a great remedy for you. Wearing an anklet is particularly more helpful, especially with leg pain that originates from your lower back pain, traveling through your buttocks, down to your sciatic.

What wearing an anklet means?

Most cultures believe that an ankle bracelet worn on the left foot is a charm or talisman. Such anklets were used as amulets to protect the wearer from diseases and bad omens. They were used as a form of protection. Today, an anklet on your left foot may also indicate that you are married or engaged to a lover.

I'm looking for some change...

More than 2 years ago I moved into a condo and I'm looking to make some aesthetic changes in the courtyard appearance. Again. When I first moved in, the 'garden' near the mailboxes had a flat area 6 feet by 10 feet filled with mulch. There were some shrubs along the back wall, but nothing along the walkway.

Asking first, the president of the association gave me to okay to plant some things as long as I maintained it. No problem. I selected some small shrubs that I've seen line the walkways to a few gated communities. It's year round, slow growing and survives direct sunlight to shaded areas. Placed about 18" apart, I allowed for a few years of growth before the will need to be thinned.

All my gardening tools remained with the house I sold a few years ago. All I had was a floor scraper and trowel. I'll make-do with that. After clearing back the mulch, I dug some holes about 6" by 6" and loosely placed the potted plants to confirm they were in the right spot. It was done on a Saturday morning and the project took a few hours. Lots of people came by checking mail and to make comments... I guess they never experienced someone taking an interest in their 'front yard' so most of the comments were in praise for adding some charm to the walkway. Two woman complained. One must have been denied her suggestion at an association meeting as she didn't believe I had approval from the condo president. The other bitched about the purple flowers I used to fill-in the perimeter. Something like they would outgrown the entire garden.

More than a year ago, one of the palm trees died and it appeared that nothing was going to be done. To my surprise the landscaping company removed it and filled the area with sod. The color of the new grass was 10 shades darker than the original lawn. I bought a bag of fertilizer and threw handfuls around the garden. It's been 2 weeks and with all the rain this month, the old lawn has started to darken and look more like the new stuff.

My other plan will require approval of the association as the end of the paved walkway that joins the asphalt parking lot has some bare areas and the rain washes the soil into the parking lot. I'll run some plastic retainer the keep the grass edge from running out.

10 minutes a week pulling weeds and the change is already noticeable. My neighbor saw me making adjustments this morning and ask why... it's my front yard and I want it to look nice, that's why.

Beautiful People

“Do not let your beauty be that outward adorning....; but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible ornament of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.” (1Peter 3: 3)

I marvel at how beautiful, and amazingly awesome, babies and toddlers are. I am always captured by their innocence, curiosity, joy and even distress that they can express, usually without much reservation. Their instinctual responses towards others around their age, natural and man-made objects and animals, and sounds, tastes, and textures, are so free of the artificial. With them, God’s awesome power of creation is truly a beautiful thing. They are beautiful on the inside, and the outside.

But I have discovered that babies and toddlers are not the only beautiful people that God has created. I have had cause to marvel at some who are beautiful in spirit, and that, to me, is just as awesome. Babies and toddlers have not had to face the troubles, disappointments and other unpleasant or traumatic experiences that Life generally ‘dishes’ out to older folks, so their innocence and beauty has not been tainted. However, I have been blessed to have met beautiful people whose spirit of joy, peace, compassion, goodness and love was unmistakably obvious, belying any scars that they had received from Life. They make me feel as though I was ‘absent’ when God gave such a gift. :(

I think that, that ability to smile from within, to endure challenges with grace and to put others at ease with the power of one's inner beauty, is really something to aspire to.

LADIES SKIN TIGHT LEGGINGS

Have you noticed this fashion that mainly young ladies have adopted. Skin tight leggings that look as though they have been sprayed on. How do they have the nerve to walk the streets looking as though they are naked from the waist down. It does not hide the cellulite on legs that have not seen any exercise for years. Are they asking for trouble from the opposite sex? I have to shield my eyes and look away. Have they no thought for other people? Should they be banned or an age limit be put on the purchase of these items. Why not just spray paint on your lower half and shave off any visible hair?

uh oh confused
