While having a get together at my house in the year 2000. I was simply sitting on my couch. Just people watching as I often do. As I was listening to my friends talking to one another. It accrued to me that every person telling another person a story was lying and pretending they were someone they are not. I was baffled as to the fact that everybody who were talking was "PRETENDING" to be someone or something they arent. I picked up a pen and wrote this poem. It was the very first poem I had written.
