The Game Changer

We all believe that life changes from second to second
and whatever we do cannot be undone, my experience
transformed me to become like a ship in a bottle, the
poem I wrote in 2013. For years I suffered from Diabetes
that terrible night I was ill and taken to the local hospital,
on arrival I was taken to intensive care, I was told my leg
needed amputation, I was naive on this matter so I
reluctantly agreed, a week later the operation took place.
When I awoke and later sent to a recovery ward, I realised
over time my life would change with no actual future, I
reflected on the ship in the bottle, how it was confined
never to sail, I identified this was me now virtually living
in a glass dome with no future ahead of me, was the
operation worth the end result. I was living death, maybe
I should have risked and fought the infection with drugs.
Yes this whole scenario was a game changer. What if the
Surgeon had been mistaken and acted inappropriately,
It seemed too late now committed to being a cripple for
the rest of my natural life, how unfair was this, did I deserve
this future to be. They say life is what you make it. I say
it was a cruel twist of fate, a question only God could
answer, shortly before all this I rediscovered religion and
was looking forward to help people in need of religious
need, this was my redemption, then tragedy struck,
this sickness took control of my life and the ending of
My religious career. I made one fatal mistake I listened to
Doctors with their pills and potions, slowly changing my
life forever. I could not believe this was my future, my
life down the drain, where was God in my moment of
need there seemed no miracles for me and no way
of completing my destiny. My life seemed all over but
the shouting. This left me totally in doubt, now living in
an aged care home pondering where I went wrong.
If I had changed one second of my life this may have all
changed. So many events would change if one second
had been changed in time, Meaning that one second
could be a game changer.

The Quotes Garden - XX – Black

Black

“Black.
My world falls inside a grave;
I can hear the funeral rhythm;
Humming algorithm, on the stave.

Black.
The worms are sages of this cave;
I could just see who craves –
For such a heart I gave; -

Black.
In this darkness, sorrow –
For my beloved sparrow,
Which I could not save –

Black.
So many memories, lost,
- Dreams entangling waves;
What for?! For what cost?!..

Black.
My lungs are filled with grief
And seems the whole earth
Crushing me, slowly; slowly…

Black.
A lonely beast; without relief,
- An ivy root killing its leaf
For a song – going lowly;

Black.
Deeper; deeper; up to where
There’s nothing to bear –
For what is death, or birth?!..

Black.
I have nothing left; only sins; –
I don’t know what means
A hell to which I’m going.

Black.
Which one, really loses or wins,
- If in the grave mourns a terrible beast,
Under this creased veil of my genes?!..”

The Quotes Garden - XIX – White

"The Quotes Garden"

[ XIX ]

White

"White.
The nature embraced my muse,
And all, of sudden, came to life;
My grave is now full of marble eyes.

White.
The saints blessed my wedding;
I could just hear who dies –
There was the bard and his muse; -

White.
The candles rise higher, such heart -
Which one trembles, craving for death?
An epitaph from leaves, to my wife –

White.
All the stars gathered to the opera,
Where everyone finally cried;
Their eyes had tears dressed in white.

White.
The silent sword shines along the ocean
As thy bliss enwraps around the ring,
With my quill blessed by God;

White.
There must be an oath, written in white;
My words flow silently, as I sing,
Touching the bowing harp of a swan –

White.
Along the wave, the sky shimmering my love;
O, beloved! Remember?! I cried –
And my head, at your chest, is listening echoes…

White.
Over this slab, an offer to God;
The incense fills my soul with joy;
My white mantle covers a muse.

White.
Take my hand, beloved one,
- And walk along this beautiful path,
Leaving this world covered by peace!..”

What I see!

What I see!
Who holds this world in his hands?
Who?
Not I? Not you?, then who?
The world will never be us,
Why?, because,
We WILL be gone, won't be long,
Tomorrow will start anew,
The same game will reignite,
For Millennium worlds have died
no one wrong, no one right,
It's all in the game, it's always
the same,
Imagination makes this creation,
and we do it constantly,
Understanding..... is the Key!

The Quotes Garden - XVIII – Last wish

"The Quotes Garden"

[ XVIII ]

Last wish

“Stay.
With me – the dying one
Who takes away your joy
Without the longing whisper;

Stay.
A moment – before I’m gone,
Without to even ask you, muse,
Where’s the cradle of a little boy; -

Stay.
And beat – a pulse within a twister;
The last one finding and excuse
For such a sudden leaving…

Stay.
To feel; to sigh; to mourn;
I’ll be right there – right there!
- Near this tomb.. and gently, waving…

Stay.
And dream; then let it float away…
For this last minute, I was born;
For this last one, - for you, so rare;

Stay.
With me, beloved. Let me mourn…
I’ll take your hands over my chest,
For all the tears that you are saving;

Stay.
And let me be. A memory…
Another story written in a hurry;
- But let me keep your glare!..

Stay.
A sigh; - the last one, out of worry,
My dying wish, one minute more
Before to take last breath of air –

Stay.
Your eyes – these sparkles crushing emery –
What torns my heart in such a heaving,
- Mirroring the core for which I’m grieving?..”

I’m Safe In The Light! (Meditation)

Midday or midnight
A motto I live by,
I’M SAFE IN THE LIGHT!
What’s under my bed?
Some creature I dread
I’M SAFE IN THE LIGHT!!
These shadows I see
‘Til shallow I breathe
I’M SAFE IN THE LIGHT!!!
Those critters that creep
And nip at my feet
I’M SAFE IN HIS LIGHT!!!!
The monsters that growl
And upset my bowels
I’LL STAY IN THE LIGHT!!!!!
When jitters make sleep
But a sliver less deep
I’LL WAIT FOR THE LIGHT!!!!!!
Sun? Moons’ made a clearing
So hasten appearing
MAKE SAFE IN YOUR LIGHT!!!!!!!

The Quotes Garden - XVII – Epitaph

"The Quotes Garden"

[ XVII ]

Epitaph

“In the hidden grave, I’m sitting
Without any dreams around me,
Nor with thoughts to rise and be
Like this silver quill, and knitting
Tick!..

Only silence that surrounds me
Is the one who’s softly fitting
In this moment where I’m splitting
Everything, to let her be
Tack!..

Slowly, slowly, seems I’m getting
What is happening to me; -
While this grave, an empty quitting
Of such life – above, that waits me;
Tick!
Earlier, as someone dragged me
Out of nowhere – out of witting,
In this darkness that surrounds me,
Leaving there a feather writing
Tick, –

I just sat a while, without me –
With no thoughts to fill the pitting
For that which when I was splitting
- Sudden, I left all what’s not me:
Tack!

And it seems I’m lost without me,
For in darkness, where’s this gritting
That awoke me, - as I’m spitting
Dust and smoke, such urge, to be!
Tick!

One can’t chose what just can not be
What it’s clearly out there, sitting;
- Tough this grave is home to me.
Here’s no dreaming. While admitting,
Tack…

There I am. In silence, writing:
- Epitaph to let me be –
There’s nobody else, around me.
But there must be other, sighting.
Tick, Tack…”

The Quotes Garden - XVI – Oasis

"The Quotes Garden"

[ XVI ]

Oasis

“Oh! My dreams will fly as the wind goes by,
While I sit to crave the muse of my grave,
- For the cricket’s song came near not so long,
Where my heart sought heaves among rusty leaves;
One by one, in turns, the notes fall when mourns,
As I ought to know where he brought this bow,
For my harp sunk deep, mirror carp to sleep; -
Then I saw my muse. I sat there, to weep.
On the scarp I seek how these roots let loose
The humble ants, - then bumble bees over the plants
In such a hover, in searching of my lover,
To dwell her silver eyes for the one that dies; -
I know. Into my oasis, step by step,
The beats vanish as it seems I perish,
- My veins loop within the rusty chains,
The pulse pushes along the sloop
It’s last tide: Tick, tack… tick… tack… tick…”

The Quotes Garden - XIV – To the bards

"The Quotes Garden"

[ XIV ]

To the bards

"Yee, bards! Draw out your quills with thirsty silver feathers
And fill this cup of loneliness! Let’s raise it to the heavens!
O, you, forever thriving hearts, like beggars peeled off leathers,
- In such a wilderness, your presence brings the lofty ravens!
How to not feel such lore, by noble paths of life, you mighty bards,
When all the earthly kings bow down their heraldry to taste
A glimpse of peace, from everlasting fragrance, in their yards,
As if their fame, or treasures, withers, for a silence’s waste!?..
Yee, bards! You seal my broken heart, with chants of golden harps,
To soothe this weeping, roaring beast who lurks into the darkness!
O, let me grieve along my dying muse, as nightingale enwraps
Such ravishing remembrance that I so ought to harness in my madness!
For nothing else, now matters – in such pursuit of happiness, to be
Alike a shadow in the mist, without a purpose – banished forever
From such a cruel word in which my fate resides; my love for thee,
Has split, within our shared grave; - and so I weep, I weep, I weep:
Yee, bards, take me along your path, for this silence I endeavour!.. "

The Quotes Garden - XIII – Envision

"The Quotes Garden"

[ XIII ]

Envision

“Ah thus, my life – a circle – from which I’ve been the dot,
Expansion of a vision, in spiralling a knot,
It’s not as what it seems, a strife that I must have ought
In meanings of a whole; - nor endlessness I sought! –
Unnecessary dreams! By madness, driven out by thought,
Without a reason why – without a need, to know,
Nor to believe a lie, as neither gods to bow –
As deeper, as it goes, the squeezing of that whole
To such an understanding, in filling up that hole;
But I – the dot – again, without to even wonder
How long has been since so alike the rumbling thunder,
I fall in time and space, electrified rolling,
The rawest of them all – a beast! – unleashed from the knot
From which an abyss rise, beyond that world – and growling,
Without the urge of such a breath of fury, I am what I am not!

You tell me who am I – for I don’t know what’s in; -
I’ve never had a reason, for asking what’s between,
Nor I, to even dare, to seek a depth, in all,
For such an endless knotting of what it binds that whole,
As everything that shatters my world is just this dot
Who tells me what I am. I know then what I’m not.
Enclosure to a circle?! Does not belong to lines,
As all I’ve seen in nature, is rhythm! to which aligns,
By dots and curves, - o, meaning! - alike these rotten vines,
To which in a seclusion, there’s language within signs!..”
