I am the lighting forking beneath the dark grey clouds
The rays of sun shinning forth through the haze
The strong wind pushing against your face and body
Bending the trees
Swirling the brown and yellow leaves
That once lay there insignificant
I am the full moon
That swirls the waters
Of your blood through your veins
The rainbow shooting through your spine
Releasing colours through your being
Awaking you from your slumber
I am mother earth in all her glory
Rocks and mountains
Crystals and minerals
Life and energy
I am a spark from the universe
Sometimes you catch it in my eyes
You feel it emanating from my body
I will share with you what I have
But you cannot take it
Do not try to destroy me
Because you want it for yourself
You will lose me forever

About this poem:
This poem was written after I was laying face down in my pillow sobbing
I felt a warm hand on my shoulder
Yet nobody was there in the room with me
The presence of the comforting hand enabled me to spring to my feet and write this poem
I felt strongly that this presence was God and came to help me free myself and my children from cohesive abuse...
Reflecting on The poem has helped me throughout my life to remember who I am in God...
I found this poem to be very powerful when recited live on stage for performance poetry

Wonderfully standing free, thinking , writing, how it should be, memories of times gone past, inner emotions, they may last, wanting, feeling, caring with love, seeking inspiration from above, lost promises, lost belief, left with nothing, no relief, until the morning sun does shine, for a new day, and a better time.

I wrote a letter yesterday, to a friend of mine, I really didn't know what to say, I told him that there was war and people were dying, bravery prevailing, but children were crying, there did not seem to be an end in sight, and could he help me on this night, I told him I was lost, nothing more that I could say, and could he help me and show me a way, for me to understand what was happening in this land, and he replied instantly, "what you see, is not for eternity, it's part of existence, you show no resistance, be brave, be who you are, it will take you far, then tomorrow will be, for you with me"

Lost among the algorithms;
Is some verse profound;
Buried in archival pages;-
That you may not yet have found.
Some profiles deleted;
(By members who have gone);
Now Endlessly repeated;
By the algorithms song.
Hark the unknown Poets!
In this sea of cyberspace;
(The question marks don't show it);
But the words retain their grace.
Much, this verse is excellent;
(Though they have sought not fame);
And some poets, - they don't care;
If they leave behind a name.
Next time, you are stopping by;
Just spare a thought or two;
For those fine unknown Poets;
Who wrote just for me and you.

One to one hundred seems so long, but in years, in time, its over and gone,
And all those dreams, and that painful reverely, well it appeared and then disappeared faster than we could see.
So now I'm sixty one, youth long gone, tomorrow is but a promise, a line in a song,
I watch the young in their eager endeavour , advice is retorted with ,,,,"whatever",,,,,,
But tomorrow they grow, then they will come to know, as it starts anew, they will see, that they are just like me, and they are just like you too!

The eternal quest to be better, be the best that you can be?, why not just be you?as good as you are? it will take you just as far, to the end, because my friend, no matter how good you are, it is still over in a blink, swim or sink, just be who you are, no matter how far, you want to go,, make it so,,, never look back, never rethink, onward is the way, .... be you,,,,,, no matter what they say!

Champagne and extravagance
world of Fitzgerald
lights up the driveway
a party in full swing
dressed for the evening
history might fall
your way tonight
my friend
like tossed cards
in the pool
we float on
chance
all yesterdays
abandoned
for the electric present
of the opera singer's
immaculate note
carried over the lawn
as women dissolve
behind the blinds
a shuttered world
of Maserati and Saint Laurent
leather bound
Afghan hound
silver chains
string quartet
and for you Sir
simply a dash of lemon
"In his blue gardens men and girls came and went like moths among the whisperings and the champagne and the stars" F. Scott Fitzgerald

swing under a tree
the river flows on downstream
here lies good balance
A morning with birds
harvesting the light of day

Heaven
It is a place we all want to go
I asked a priest once
When I die is it a long trip toward the bright light of heaven?
He said no
When you die it will be revealed to you
What you could not see, you will see
But
You have to remember
Heaven is not a place
It is God
I think of this conversation from time to time
Who is my heaven?
Who are the people who have made me happy?
I think if we can do that
Bring happiness to the people we meet
We can be angels on earth
And be heaven for others

About this poem:
Warrant's song Heaven was a song I sang for karaoke last night, it got a standing ovation, as it is a hopeful song. The album it comes from has one of my favorite, a fat rich man with money for hair coming out behind his ears, gold and silver rings on each hand, and a cigar made out of a dollar bill.

I have thought long, and hard;-
And the most lovable things; in this world;-
Are horses, women, and dogs.
