I Promise

I am giving you this ring as a promise to you
That no matter what, I will always be here and I will always be true

For you, I would walk a thousand miles and more
Just to see your beautiful smile that I absolutely adore

I promise that I will make you smile when you feel like crying
I promise that I will comfort you if you feel like dying

I promise to steal away your every sorrow and fear
I promise to wipe away your every tear

I promise to cherish every minute I spend with you
Until the daylight sky is no longer the color of blue

Without your love, I do not know what I would do
I will not have a future unless it involves you

You've changed me for the better and I have never been so happy
Now, with you in my life, I can't picture a world without you and me

Fate decided it was time for us to be together
And though our time here on Earth is short, I promise I want you always and forever

I promise that no matter what may happen we will make it through
Please take this ring as a symbol of the love I will always have for you

i don't belong to you

i am not yours, not lost in you,

not lost, although i long to be

lost as a candle lit at noon,

lost as a snowflake in the sea.

you love me, and i find you still

a spirit beautiful and bright,

yet i am i, who long to be

lost as a light is lost in light.

oh plunge me deep in love—put out

my senses, leave me deaf and blind,

swept by the tempest of your love,

a taper in a rushing wind.

Fighting against injustice

We have to draw a line somewhere
And stand for our convictions
But many fail to do so
lest they risk some soft position
But thank God for rare exceptions
with the guts to stand their ground
and oppose some great injustice
that is being handed down
Risking job and reputation
Standing up for what is right.
Lord please comfort, bless and keep them
Make them strong and help them fight

reverse UFO engineering

One night I sat down with Native American people
and briefly discussed with them
what the f*** are those flying things
Brown faced horse hit me a belt for laughing at the moon and
after that we all got on fine but it was in the middle of the afternoon

Love Apart

Even though we are miles apart
You are never far from my heart
I loved you then
I love you now
It's always when and
Never how
Take me back to yesterday
All the wonderful things you had to say
I loved you then
I love you now
It's always when
And never how
I see your eyes
I feel you near
Although you're not
Really here

Equinox

As the weather softly turns
Beckoning in the Equinox
Clusters of colourful bulbs
Dance and sway in the breeze
Eagles swoop up on thermals
Flying high until they are specks
Golden feathers gleaming amid
Heather glowing white on the hills
Indigo skies with puffy clouds
Jutting into various shapes
Kale drift by lazily snapping flies
Luscious grasses adorn the meadows
Mushrooms appear nestled under trees
Nightingales sweetly sing in Spring
Osprey dive deep for fish
Plunging in time and again
Quaint old fashioned flowers
Radiant with rainbow colours
Spread rampant in the beds
Tulips dip and bow in greeting
Under the hosta's a dormouse lives
Velvet nose twitching the air
Watching out for birds of prey
Xanado bathed in sunshine highlights
Yellow buttercups which coat the ground as
Zenith of Spring soon now will fade away.

EVERY SKY IS A NEW SKY

EVERY MORNING IS A NEW MORNING
and EVERYDAY IS A NEW DAY
and EVERY NIGHT IS A NEW NIGHT

BUT STILL
I WISH I COULD LOVE MORE

AND EVERY ROSE IS A NEW ROSE
and EVERY FULL MOON IS A NEW MOON
and EVERY SKY IS A NEW SKY

BUT STILL
I WISH I COULD RISK MORE

AND EVERY HEARTBEAT IS A NEW HEARTBEAT
and EVERY BREATH IS A NEW BREATH
and EVERY SMILE IS A NEW SMILE

BUT STILL
I WISH THAT I COULD BE MORE

About this poem:
Blowing through heaven and earth, and in our hearts and the heart of every living thing, is a gigantic breath—a great Cry—which we call God. Plant life wished to continue its motionless sleep next to stagnant water, but the Cry leaped up within it and violently shook its roots: “Away, let go of the earth, walk!” Had the tree been able to think and judge, it would have cried, “I don’t want to. What are you urging me to do! You are demanding the impossible! But the Cry, without pity, kept shaking its roots and shouting, “Away, let go of the earth, walk!”
Animals appeared--worms--making themselves at home in water and mud. "We're just fine here," they said... But the terrible Cry hammered itself pitilessly into their loins. "Leave the mud, stand up, give birth to your betters!"... And lo! after thousands of eons, man emerged, trembling on his still unsolid legs... He has been fighting, again for thousands of eons, to draw himself, like a sword, out of his animalistic scabbard. He is also fighting--this is his new struggle--to draw himself out of his human scabbard. Man calls in despair, "Where can I go? I have reached the pinnacle, beyond is the abyss." And the Cry answers, "I am beyond. Stand up!"

SHE- A BOSSY AUSIE

PER CHANCE TO CHANCE A CHANGE

PER CHANCE TO START MY HEART AGAIN
APART, TOGETHER AND NEVER PART AGAIN
PER CHANCE TO FIT AND FLY OUR WINGS AGAIN
WHILE A SULTRY SERAPHIM SINGS AGAIN

YOU CAME TO MAKE MY BLOOD FLOW ONCE MORE
A LOVE TO COME AND GROW ONCE MORE
NEVER AGAIN SHALL I WATCH WONDER WALK AWAY
WHEN TEMPERENCE IS MADE TO SPEAK TODAY

TO HOLD,TO TOUCH, TO FEEL AGAIN
TO FINLLY ACTUALLY HEAL AGAIN
TO FEEL THAT SPARK AND IGNITE THE DARK
TO LEAVE OUR TEARS BEHIND AND LEAVE OUR MARK

I PRONOUNCE, I PROCLAIM I CLAIM OUR AIM IS HOPE
I CONDEMN, I CONTRON AND CONJOLE OUR WAY TO COPE
I,WISHED NOT THAT CLOSE SO NO ONE EVER KISSED ME
I, A SEQUESTERED SOUL WHO WENT NOWHERE SO NO ONE MISSED ME

AS FALLEN LEAVES FROM A MAPLE TREE
AS THE SOUND OF HER HUSH WILL ENABLE ME
LET TWO WHO FLEW ONCE AGAIN SWEEP THE SKY
SINCE OUR UNION CRUCIFIED THE WORD "GOODBYE"

Boxes

There are boxes on shelves,
they litter my mind.
I sift through them sometimes,
too see what I find.

Hurts, disappointments,
friends and lost loves.
A girl I can't remember,
rises over lifes shoves.

A mother, a wife,
she's a lover, a friend.
Broken and battered,
fighting so life won't end.

I rattle my boxes,
see what will fall out.
Spent dreams and desires,
landing all about.

I look on in wonder,
at all of my past.
Tangled around me,
I touch broken parts.

But then I look deeper,
a smile warms my heart.
I find laughter and love,
hopes, dreams, second starts.

About this poem:
I guess that this poem describes those moments in time, when we look back at all the baggage we carry, and how we attempt to compartmentalise it, to reduce its effect of our present lives
