When my husband died nearly 20 years ago, I became a single parent, I have 8 adult kids, but any men i met, always commented that I was looking for a father for my kids!! I would get so annoyed as my kids had a dad even though he was dead.
I have to commend anyone who drives for their livelihood. I drove on Thursday, from Wexford to clondalkin to Spanish Point in Clare. Friday I drove from Spanish Point to Killimer, got ferry to Tarbet, drove to Tralee, then farnfore to Sneem, Sneem to Cork airport and back to Sneem. Saturday was a session til 3.30 am then yesterday Sunday back to farnfore then back to Wexford! I was a wreck from all that driving I am amazed how you can do it day in day out!!!
I personally feel they can take what is of use from me as I wont be taken them with me when I am dead, also my daughter is a ICU nurse and has to deal with both side of the donor coin, if her patient is just being kept alive by machines, the hospital then has to ask the family if they would like to donate any vital organs at such a harrowing time in their lives, most say yes and then so many lives are giving a rare chance to live again thru this patient's family generosity and then my daughter has to help a patient who is a donor recipient.
I think its a personal choice and circumstances as I was widowed at 38 with 8 children, my youngest was 6 and eldest 18, but started going out socially a year later. Then met a man 3 years after my husband death which lasted for 3 years but he wanted me to himself and my children were to be left to do their own thing. So my children came first. His loss!!!
I joined Slimming World a year ago and need to lose 2lb to reach a target of 2 and a half stone lighter!!! I tried all sorts of diets as I am steroids alot due to a lung condition, I have learnt how to eat sensibly and still enjoy life. My friend had a gastric by-pass over 5 years ago after weighing nearly 28 stone she lost 13 stone and put 5 back on due to not eating properly, so we both joined she has lost over 6 stone as is now a consultant with Slimming World she feels if it had been here before she had her by-pass she might have never needed it....
hiya Annie think it was about what age would women date fellas but dont quote me on that as I am tired of telling some of the young fellas here that age is more than a number to me. Especially when I have 5 sons age ranging from 30 to 20 if I wanted a young fella could of got one of my son's ......
I think there is certain things in life that we can choose but other things that we have no choice but accept. I look at my life now and think is there any thing I would change and I can honestly say No! because of the bad things alot of good has happened. I lost my husband to suicide which is the hardest knock I could take but I have 8 kids and we picked ourselves up and started to live again. We can now look back and say we have learnt to live and laugh again, after all of our tears. My kids are living life with a better meaning and some even said that their daddy's death spurred them on to do better in life and not waste it wondering.
I dont know or think I know him in fact I dont think I would like to know him. If you read what I posted I said I can vouch he showed no care or compassion to others on a thread about suicide. I dont judge people here on all of what they say but there has been a few threads on suicide that he has been very harsh in his posts and even laughed at some others here.
He is right there is alot of young lads both home and abroad....the GAA are thinking of bringing some form of screening for their players in all clubs...I do hope that they do as it seems to be such active and fit young men that are dying needless and all for the sake of a scan.
