My community is the last of the old time not lock your doors places. Less than a hour drive away, you need to bolt down everything, then weld it in place if you don't want it stolen.
In places like Windsor, yes thats true, gun crime is on the rise big time. My community though in my province is still pretty peaceful. Lots of people here never lock their doors night time.
Ask for fries with no salt. Most of the time, they will have to cook up a fresh batch to accommodate because when fries normally come out of the fryer, the first thing done is they are sprinkled with salt and rarely will there be fries on hand with no salt. When you get your fries, add salt to them (they usually put a pack in the bag) and enjoy

Approach your partner and tell them you want to buy something thats twice as expensive as what you actually want. They will be in sticker shock, let them stew on it for a minute, then tell them there is something else thats better priced that will do, then show them what you actually want and they will be more likely to go along with it.
Punishment never worked for anyone for any crime. Rehab is the best choice but only if they want to get clean.
People with mental illness and drug addicts are people in a bad situation and locking them up will not do any good, it will just make them worse criminals (proven time and again here). They need treatment.
Normally I frown on violence but in the case of people like him, its what they understand and a group of big guys can be far more effective than a piece of paper from a judge. First visit, just rough him up moderately, make it hurt but don't break anything. If he needs a second visit, there would be no need for a 3rd visit because he would never walk again.
