I'm Taking The Unorthodox Step Of Posting My Final Comment At The BEGINNING of this renamed blog...

I submit to the gentle reader (and any other interested parties) that what follows below the horizontal line is not the perfect picture of a trolled blog.
And if so, how said trolling was instigated, enabled & accomplished in the astonishingly short span of a very few comments.

Do You Have Difficulty Making Good Coffee?

This blog is not about coffee. Or tea. Or beer.
I got that out there so y'all won't have to make puns in the comments.
Considerate of me, no? batting

It has to do with the timing of certain current events...

1) Israeli F-35s overflew locations in Syria & Iran undetected, including the site of Iran's alleged nuclear goings on.

2) Netanyahu spoke about Iran's alleged nuclear aspirations - (Casus Belli dunno )

3) The U.S. backed out of the Iran nuke deal & announces strict sanctions.

4) Iranian missiles were allegedly launched into Israel from Syria.

5) Israel launched the largest air strike in Syria since the '73 war.

6) Israel will celebrate its 70th anniversary of becoming a nation on Monday.

7) And the U.S. will open it's embassy in Jerusalem.

8) Ramadan (and presumably the attendant annual spike in terrorist attacks) begins on Wednesday.

Is it just me?
Or does anyone else see any potential problems here?

This was first flown in '02.
It's since been retired, & ultimately scrapped a few years ago.

That's the official story.

Could the recent series of North Korean missile 'failures' actually be evidence that this technology has been developed, perfected...and deployed?

NOTE - The Airborne Laser engages/destroys it's targets in the boost phase.
And that the portion of their flight during which recent N. Korean missile tests routinely...fail.

The shotguns use six round magazines.
Each 3" 12 gauge shell holds 41 .240 calber pellets.
So...
Six rounds × 41 pellets/round = 246 pellets/mag.

A six round magazine could be easily emptied in under ten seconds.
The shotgun could be reloaded with a fresh magazine in about a second, maybe two or three.
This process could be repeated as often as one has magazines with which to reload.

Let's do the math, shall we?
Yes. We shall......
Six magazines × six shells/mag × 41 pellets/shell...

I recently heard a program discussing gun control following the recent shooting in Florida.
It was a call-in program.
A law enforcement officer called in and asserted that when a mass shooter who knows how to run a pump shotgun uses one of those rather than a semi-auto AR...he'll redefine 'massacre'.

I've thought this for some time - well before the introduction of the new quickly reloadable DM shotguns - and have hesitated to even mention it.
No point giving anyone ideas. scold
But it's all out there now sigh

North Murkuns eagerly awaiting this year's forecast of an early Spring/continued Winter.

Reports are that snow persons in many communities have been doused with gasoline and snow shovels are piled high.
The snow persons & shovels will be set ablaze in the event that the local marmot meteorologist proclaims Winter's end.

Groundhog Day, the only day of the year named for an animal, is the highest, most eagerly anticipated & festive day of the entire year!

It marks the last vestige of the prior year/Christmas Season.
In the Old Church Calendar, Feb. 2 is the Feast of The Purification of The Virgin/Candlemas.

It is at this time of year that weather patterns begin to shift.
Northerly patterns which bring high pressure & clear cold weather begin to give way to more Southerly patterns bringing low pressure, warmer temps, clouds & often heavy wet Spring snows.
This change was noted by ol' time weather watchers.
If the change occurred at mid-Winter, it indicated the change had begun & Spring would arrive early.
Hence the old weather saw -

'If Candlemas Day dawn fair and clear,
Expect two Winters in the year.
If Candlemas brings clouds and rain,
Go Winter and come not again.'
