Heavy rain ...

We had a town hall meeting this afternoon out of the office. As the floor warden, it was my duty to get all the other employees to leave the office so that they wouldn’t come to the meeting late.

My colleagues were so nice that they offered a ride to the premises. And it was a heavy rainstorm when we left the office building. The strong wind made all of us worry about our safety that we turned into the nearest building to find shelter. The building security were kind to let us wait inside the lobby area.

I took lots of photos whilst waiting for the rain. We got iced rain and heavy rain still that the people started collecting the ice rocks bigger than my thumb. We were joking that we could use them for our iced coffee or tea.

After waiting for over 15 minutes the car owner decided to continue the journey even we still had heavy rain. Fortunately the iced rain has stopped. But with the heavy rain still, we got floods which cause heavy traffic. Even we were in a harrier, the water still came into the car.Now I had a very wet tote bag

We were so lucky that we didn’t get a car jammed like most of the other cars. Even we arrived late for the meeting, we still come in one piece.

Exercise

Have been quite ill for sometimes that I had spent most weekends at home.

Fortunately, my buddies were so kind that they kept sending me novels so that I didn’t go crazy.

Just realise that a person cannot work 24/7 unless he or she is not a human.

Seriously, I am one of those (err ... the workhaholic one not the non human, mind you)

Now I should take the consequence about getting ill most of the time.

So I try to fix the problem.

I am not a sport kind of person. But I like taking a walk. So in the morning before rushing to the office, I do a bit of exercise, taking a short walk around my residence area.

Then I also spend some of my lunch break to walk around the office building. And if I can leave the office early, I usually walk around the building first before leaving. The security guys teased me about having a new security hiree. Well ... if they can afford my expected salary, why not?

My kind of favorite day is weekend where I can walk around the coast near my residence area. It’s so good to see the beach, although I do prefer mountain.

Old friend

I had a nice surprise today. Leaving the office building after 8 pm and the traffic was still worse. It was raining too, so I asked the taxi driver to drop me at a mall as I was starving. Went to my favorite restaurant for bbq rib. And yes, I did have a bottle of corona

I was waiting for my order when a cute man smiled at me. I recognise him immediately even I haven’t seen him for years.

He was my best pal when I was still a teenager. He was also my neighbor, but his parents got divorced and his Mom took him to Bergen, Norway.

We lost contact when his step father passed away around 10 years ago, and his Mom moved to Madrid, Spain.

We chatted like he never left. My pal works as interior designer in Madrid, Spain. He and his partner have good business, still a small company but with a good profit. I am proud that he is a successful business man.

Unfortunately, his partner who is a good looking man didn’t like me. He thought I was going to steal his man. Err, no way, am his friend ... no more. Actually my pal's partner was more my type ... if he was straight

I tried to explain my relationship with my pal’s partner. He was a bit calm, but I wasn’t too sure. Should I tell him that he was more to my type than my pal was? Not a good idea

, unless I was going to start world war 3

So I regretfully didn’t finish my yummy dinner. Fortunately, I finished drinking my corona. I told my pal that I had to go. He wanted to take me home, but better not after seeing how murderous the face of his partner was.

Alright pal, it’s better not to disturb your relationship with your partner. I love you as a brother

, but your partner doesn’t know that.

Wish you all the best and hope to see you both when your partner understands me better. Don’t forget to invite me at your wedding, will ya.

Being a w ...., I wish!

I officially catch the flue bug from my colleague today.

Have tried to avoid it by taking lots of vitamins, drinking lots of OJ, and not too close to the virus carriers. But there is no such luck.

I have a sore throat which make my voice is quite sexy now. Yep, almost.

I kind of liking it. But not with the red nose, please.

Thank you for a buddy of mine who has a kind heart. Bless you, pal. You know that I won’t be able to enjoy my weekend much. I do appreciate your kindness.

How do you know that I will like the novel you bought for me? A discovery of witches by DH. Yep, wish I were a witch. I prefer being a w to b.

Weird

Had fun with all girls today.

One of my close friends celebrated her birthday.

As she just broke up with her current man, we all girls would like to cheer her up on her birthday. We took her to Hard Rock cafe for dinner. No man (sorry guys ...

) was allowed to ruin her birthday dinner.

, A. We all love you like our own sister.

Didn’t understand why a man who had a gorgeous girl friend like A, left her for a much older woman with one child.

Both of them were hard workers and his current lady friend just separated from her husband. Is it oedipus complex?

E-Book

I wanted to read AB’s Carnal Sin badly. It’s her second novel in Sin series. Have read her first one, Original Sin. It was so so. But I like the heroine character. Reminding me about someone I know.

Well, not really. But the similarity is significant.

As the novel is not yet sold here, I want to buy e-book version. Have browsed and found one seller. But I was a bit worried as the seller was not from the same country as mine. How if I found some problems?

I was so happy when I found an online shop in my city, and it has an outlet in a mall. I left the office a bit early than my usual time and took a special bus as the traffic is worse. Hey, it’s Friday here. I was so excited that I told my close friends that I was going to read that book tonight.

I was disappointed when I found the outlet. It was just a tiny one and it was closed. I almost went home but then I decided to visit brauhaus, to have my eyebrow plucked. Ewww, it reminded me how I seldom have my eyebrows trimmed. It’s so hurt. And I have bushy eyebrows.

After the torture, I remembered a phrase, never give up.

So I went back to the outlet and voila, it opened.

I had to open an account first, no problem. Then I bought the novel. Too bad they didn’t have JDR’s Indulgence in Death.

Took a taxi to go home and had problem with the internet connection.

First I had to install the adobe program. Then download the e-novel I bought. Now I could say that am quite familiar in installing programs. Will have a new novel to read.

I already lust this novel before reading the whole pages. “Lust’s passion will be served; it demands, it militates, it tyrannizes – Marquis de Sade.”

Sorry pals, I will be too busy with my new novel but yes, tomorrow I still want to go to that Ribs place. Yummy. Err, I know am supposed to be vegetarian this week.

A day before holiday

Decide to leave the office a bit earlier today. With a colleague, we walked to a nearby supermarket. She bought facial cotton whilst I honey mustard for Mom. That’s all.

Whilst waiting for a cab, I remembered that I promised Mom some cash

So I walked to the nearest cash machine to withdraw some. Then I was back waiting for a cab to go home.

The traffic was getting worse!

Took some photos from my cellular as the bikers rode on the walking path.

Yes it was common here, and yes it was against the rules. But most bikers didn’t care about rules.

Was worried that I couldn’t find a decent cab until I saw one which was unoccupied.

The driver was quite chatty but not too much. We got stucked in the traffic for almost a hour, until we passed under the bridge.

I was getting sleepy

and without realising, I fall asleep

. I woke up when the taxi was near to my residence area.

Was craving peanuts that I asked the driver to drop me at a small supermarket. I bought several brands of peanuts and green tea. Wish there was corona. Should buy it when I was in the bigger supermarket earlier.

Sending text messages to friends who are out for dinner. I was near home, so better to relax at home. But might join them to watch fireworks later. Or I just watch it from my house’s roof.

Almost forget. It will be the year of rabbit tomorrow. We will have a day off

Online game

I was so tired after finishing some office tasks. I decided to have thirty minutes break, checking personal emails which I usually neglected for weeks. I know, am bad

I was, then, invited to play online scrabble with couple friends. Am not a game player, and never play any online game before. But I needed a break so I joined in the game.

It was fun. I won couple rounds, which amazing and fun. Who said winning was not sweet?

Then another online gamer joined our little game. We refused him first as he ranked as Scrabble Expert whilst most of us were beginner. But he kept interrupting our fun game.

The girls took a peek at his webcam and said he was a cutie. Oh well, we should not refuse a cutie, should we?

First, it’s not nice to cheat when he was such a game master. Second, it would be the first and last time I play scrabble with him. Third, ok, am a poor looser when playing scrabble, so what.

The girls were wrong, though. Your labs is more cute than you. May I have Bones, please?

Girls, if you read this, don’t dare telling him.

We, girls should stick together and yes, he was cheating!

Notes to me myself: DON’T play any online game with an expert even you’re bored; DON’T agree with any bets even others do. And the last one, DON’T be so naive and trustworthy with others, even my online girl friends.

Just my thought

Am kind of addictive to blogging now and then. It’s a good way to throw out whatever you have been thinking and clean out your heart and mind, so to speak.

Have also read what others posted in the forums here and other website. Am kind of passive members in both forums. Never dare to respond or participate in any forum yet as am too a shy person.

Wait .... I did posted one in CS forum a couple days ago, well ... it was my only post so far.

So many funny stuff to read, though, even the outrageous one. It is so interesting what people have posted in both forums. My buddies usually ask me to tell them interesting posts as they are too busy with their families. We always have good chuckle after I finish telling them some, and we have a long discussion about the topics.

I notice that some people are very sensitive that they cannot accept or take the values of others who have different opinions. And the posters take them as insults. They will become rude. Am not sure whether it is a language barrier of just a personality. Hey, English is not my mother tongue either, so whenever am not sure what people are talking about, I will read the phrases couple times to ensure I understand them correctly.

I find out people in CS and other forum do joke around, but not in a cruel way. It’s just that their opinions are different. The differences actually put colors in our lives. And yes, people are entitled to post any of their comments. I believe that heated arguments began from misunderstanding and misinterpretation. Even for both English native speakers!

Anyway, don’t be too serious and don’t take into your heart. If the posters don’t like what others’ comments, don’t be upset. If the persons don’t like what the posters have posted, don’t become nasty, please. All should keep healthy arguments. Don’t judge others.

The forums are for fun. No insult nor cruel words, pretty please. I admire people who can lighten up the forum with jokes. If a person wants others to treat him or her nice, the person has to treat others nice first. There is a phrase that you will be more successful to attract a bear with honey. Oops, excuse me, keep away the bear please. But you can pass me the honey.

For people who are English native speaker, please understand that I, the non native one sometimes misunderstand and get confused. Apologise for the ignorance and be gentle.

Well, the request is just for me, yours truly only as I cannot speak on behalf of others. Final word here, I agree that we disagree.

Losing a buddy ..... hope NOT

Losing a buddy is so hard, especially the one you have known for years.

I might be too harsh with her who has been one of my close friends since we were in secondary school. But I had my own problems and was quite fed up with her complaints about her life, her hubby, her kids, her family, her siblings.

I have tried to be patient but then I lost it when I was facing my own problem which I tried to deal myself. Everyone has their own baggage and should take the responsibilities mostly by themselves. You cannot always ask someone else to solve your problem for you. Nope, it’s not the way.

Lets get some time to cool down and see whether we can forgive each other.

I will always be her friend. I will not forget her, even if she wants to erase my name from her buddy list.

And no, am not on her hubby’s side. The problems between he and she, should be settled by them only. Am just the outsider who care both of them, and also their lovely children. Hope it will work for the best.

Rainbow

It has been raining quite a lot lately. I usually feel blue when it is raining in buckets.

Today is different, though. I was delighted to see a big arch of rainbow after rain this morning.

It has been a rare moment for me. Am a city girl who usually see blocks of sky crappers buildings. So it was really a treat for me when I saw a beautiful big fat rainbow. The colors were so bold and vivid.

Did I make a wish after seeing it? I knew, It was different than seeing a comet, or falling star wasn’t it?

But yes, I did make wishes.

And my wishes were ... hold the thought, please.

When I was a kid, I was sure that there would be a pot of happiness at the feet of rainbow. Now am much older and a (little) wiser

, wishing that I could find the pot of happiness there, still.

Don’t need the gold as we can buy them, but noone can buy happiness. Therefore, I wish happiness for my family, all my buddies and also for myself. Thank you for being there for me. Love ya

Chatty Taxi Driver

Had to work late today. Not a new story for me, huh? I don’t want to have unfinished tasks, that I will try to finish in the day unless there is another urgent issue.

Anyway, I left the office building after 10 pm and took a taxi cab. It’s a regular taxi which I usually take. Was surprised when the driver started talking even before I finished telling him where to go.

I was not in the mood to chat as I was both tired and sleepy. So I didn’t encourage him for further conversation. Surprise, the driver surely could handle all the conversations by himself.

He kept asking whether he could be my regular taxi driver. I didn’t say anything. Wish I could shout at him, No Way, Jose!

He was so tireless. He might take some medicament or strong energy drink, probably. I was too exhausted to listen what he was talking about, so I pretended to fall asleep. Would he take longer route, then? Oops! But I took my chance.

I got out from the taxi and paid the driver including tip too. He then said, “OK, tomorrow, same time?”. Ewww, No thanks!
