Giving up smoking.

It finally happened.. I gave up smoking.
It's hard.. belive me it is.. My head keeps spinning around.. A headache as bad as ever.. The neverlasting craving for a smoke.. The desire I have .. I got to fight it.. I know I can make it.. yet it keeps getting harder.. I simply can't resist anymore... at least I made it almost a half hour without a smoke. Maybe I'll quit sometime in the future but basicly.. I don't want to now.rolling on the floor laughing

L.O.V.E.

I won't go explaining what love is, Those of you who ever experienced it will never forget it, those who haven't experienced it yet, could never imagen.
What I was thinking about is.. how fast do you know you love someone? How fast can you expect the other to know if they love you?
I don't know maybe i'm weird but Give me a few talks with someone and I'm pretty able to know what that person is like. I might not know their favourite colour or favourite music.. But i'll know the important stuff about their personality. I've Always been good at recognising that. So when I meet a girl, After a few talks I will know how I feel about her, at this time and how I could feel in the future. But since that doesn't seem to be the case for most people, I never know when I should start to worry.

Shopping survival guide for men.

Just a few tricks i've learned to enjoy shopping allot more.
First of all.. Forget about pride. Thats the most important thing.
Now the secret is to add some more fun to the entire thing.
What can you do to reach that goal??

For example:
*you could put stuff into other people kart.. Especially chocolates, chips or something like that in karts of people who have children with them.. Fun garanteed.

*If you notice someone looking for something in a rack.. get between them and the rack and start "searching" for something.. if they move right.. you move right.. if they go left.. you move left.
*Push away other people karts while unattented. Or just run into other people kart on the corners and stuff like that.
*Push any toy that makes sound
*If they sell alarmclocks or other kinds of timers... set them all to go off in the next 10-15 minutes.. don't set them on the same time.. keep a few minutes interval for each of them if possible..
*ask people information about the products they are buying because you are in doubt if you should get it yourself or if you should select another brand.
*clothes.. If she goes into a changing booth... locate a small rack of clothes and put it in front of the booth.. if she comes out she won't know what to do.
*Go into the booth next to hers and start moaning.
*Talk to yourself whenever passing a mirror.. things like.. wow i'm cute, hey i know this guy, what a hottie.. BAsic stuff.
*Never leave home without your imaginary friends.. they are fun to talk to while waiting in line.
*If she asks advice about clothes, or hands you a purse.. act like one of her girlfriends.. If she treats you like one you are allowed to act like one.
*In case you need a break once in a while.. pick up smoking.. this can buy you up to 15 minutes freedom every 2nd shop.. just say you need a smoke and that she can go in already..

More tips and tricks might be added later.
Good luck

A flemish tradition

I never realised untill I heard it on the news a few days ago.
Appearantly We should be the only nation that holds this tradition and I am however in doubt if thats true.. But still I wanna tell you about this and If you have something similar please let me know.

every year on newyears day.. Our children will have prepared a small letter for their parents, grandparents, godmother/father.
They will visit each and every one of them on that day and read their letter for them.
They start doing this around age 3-4.. Something like that and Ofcourse the first years it will be just a little poem of some sort that they have learned from their head since they can't read yet. But they will get longer with the years.
After reading this they will get some money as a gift.
I don't really remember untill what age we usually do this. Must be 9-10 years or so.
Ofcourse their are exceptions.. With my ex-girlfriend it is still tradition that everyone prepares one for the same people as listed before. Even the elders will read one for their father that day. The content of their letters may have changed a bit, It contains a bit more hidden humour, well not Always hidden.. Some dirty wordtricks maybe. But still they are intended to show the love and care they ahve for eachother.

So does any other nation has something like this?

why why why????

I didn't mention this before but.. I had a check up on december 24th to see how things were after the operation. And I have received some terrible news. They.. OMG this is hard.. makes me wanna cry.. They told me I could go to work again. I was Lucky enough to still have some holiday left.. but I've started work again last wednesday.. I tell you it takes allot of getting used to again. While I was home I would never sleep before 6am.. Now I gotta start working around that time.. I'm so tired. I've worked so much and so hard.. I was thinking my boss might have gone easy on me these first few days but I sure was wrong about that. But on the bright side.. Its weekend now so i'm thinking about getting allot of sleep in these next few days.

Christmast

A day of miracles,
This entire week i have been witness of such miracles.
Their is no greater miracle then love.
I've seen little children that fight for their lives, I've seen parents crying because their child was happy. Thats how much love can do. I've seen guys, the kind that push 100kg above their heads, cry as if they were a child. Emotions can be so strong at times that even the strongest of us would break into tears.
I've seen people that have saved food from their own mouth for an entire year just so they would be able to afford some toys for their children on this day. All the hunger, all the suffering was forgotten as soon as the child smiled because of his gift.
For me personal Christmas is a day of traditions. We had family dinner last night. Exchanged some presents among eachother.
And then today, I've met up with some close friends. We had a traditional drink together at the Marketplace.. talked a bit about how wonderfull this last week once again was. Made a pledge to make next year even better.
After that we all went our own way again. I made a stop at the cemetery.. Greeted some friends of mine that have passed away this year. And made a visit to my uncles grave. HE Always was my hero when i was just a child. So brought him a drink.. SAid my prayer for him. Talked to him about things on my mind, plans i have, I don't think he'll ever answer me but somehow it helps me figuring out what to do with my life.
Yeah Christmas.. Not sure if i enjoy it, because it reminds me of so much sadness. But still, i enjoy our own little traditions that surround it.
Anyway, I wish you all a very merry Christmas and a very happy new year.

Other then that we belgians offcourse take this opportunity once again to party.. Some major "end of the world" "doomsday" "last supper" and "apocalypse" parties are sheduled in my area.. Should be great fun. I wonder if they hand out free beer, why would they need money the next day right? Shouldn't hurt to ask. rolling on the floor laughing

A log

I was walking today in a small forest not to far from me. After a few minutes I almost fell over some log.
That log might have been the logbook of one of those mighty ships i've seen once at the sea. Now talking about mighty that reminds me of mighty mouse.. Now I loved those cartoons. Not sure but I think the inspiration for that cartoon came from Jerry, you know the mouse that Always was messing around with tom.
I wonder if he is related to uncle tom. Didn't he used to have a cabin or something? What other famous uncles do we have?.. I think everyone knows uncle sam.
didn't they say uncle sam is turning into a big brother nowadays?.. My big brother is a nice guy.. I remember how he used to have curly hair. And that curly is one of the three stooges right.. Those were funny.. Well I think they were I never really watched that show because i was to young then. I know they did a movie not that long ago. To promote that they appeared on an episode of Wwe wrestling. Wrestling Always makes me think about hulk hogan, He must be the most famous wrestler around. what many people won't know is that his real name is Terry gene bollea, and he was born in Georgia. I've got Georgia on my mind.. Nice song I really like the version of elle fitzgerald. Another person that was named fitzgerald was JFK.. John fitzgerald Kennedy. One of the many presidents of USA. he was assassinated in 1963 in dallas. Talking about dallas, They now have a new version of that show.. Remember the old shows with Jr, bobby, sue ellen..
Ellen, now that makes me think of ellen degeneres, A lesbian talkshowhost. I guess nobody is better then Oprah Winfrey when it comes to talkshows. And her name would make me think of the worldfamous opera house in sydney. Sydney.. Hmm now thats Australia, and i know those ozzies Always say thing like outback and such.. I know one of the guys here has a boat outback of his house... Could thise log I almost fell over be the one from his boat?? I gotta look into this. So till next time.

Indian pearl in South Africa

I've been thinking a few days about doing this blog. Finally i'm getting around to it.

It's a dedication to one of the most wonderful people i've met on these blogs so far. Our wonderful Nessa.

We have all seen her as the spicy woman that won't take crap from anyone. Always willing to defend her believes, Always willing to speak up against racism, bullies, and other behaviour that really has no place on these blogs and reality.
For me it has been an honour to stand beside her in so many of those battles. I have so much respect for her.
I know that Nessa didn't like all that fighting, she didn't like all that attention, but she did what needed to be done.
She did that without thinking about herself, her own needs, her own entertainment. She has given up some of her precious time for all of us. Time she would rather have spend with her wonderful man vulpine. Time she would also have enjoyed if she could have just talked with friends or posting positive blogs.

Because trust me.. Nessa is a truly positive person. Her last streak of blogs finally allows her to show this sweet caring side of herself. A side that i have known for a while now and I'm glad others will be able to see this aswell now.
Nessa has a big heart and she loves all of her friends and I for one would like to say at this time.
Nessa you truly are a wonderful friend and I love you for that.
I wish you and vulpine all the luck in the future and I hope you will stay with us for a very long time, because I like having you around. And i'm sure others feel the same way about this.

strenght

As you may have noticed i haven't been so active here these last few days. But as you may know I play santa each year at a local hospital for children. So in preparation for that i have been reading allot of the letters that those children had written for santa. I don't know how to describe this feeling, these children are just so brave.
I have here a letter from a 7 year old boy, his biggest wish is that santa would take away the sadness of his parents once he is gone. This boy is so young and knows this is his last Christmas but all he cares about are the people he loves the most.
He isn't the only one.. Almost all of them ask to take care of their parents or brother or sister.
I've had another one from a boy who said he was soon going to live with his daddy in heaven.. and if i could visit his mom once in a while so she wouldn't get lonely.
I'm never shy with witty replies and such.. but what do you answer to such questions???
It makes me so sad to know these kids need to think about all of that. But it also makes me proud to get to know each and every one of them, and hopefully to make them forget their situation for just a few seconds and make them smile.

it's not easy

It's not easy being me. People expect so much from me.
I asked myself many times, why? why me?
Is it just because i have the body of a God?
Sure Buddha might not be the most fit God but I do look a bit like him don't i? rolling on the floor laughing
