Does Human Life have NO VALUE ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

I arrived at hospital at 10.40pm last evening with our toddler in convulsions and extreme fever. Normally one experiences anxiety and that nobody else there is as sick as YOUR loved one (well I do)when we face such emergency situations.

But last night, I had to stop and pray for the little one who was drawing the doctors to his side.

Someone please explain to me,

At which point do you justify a baby,(under 1 year old) being SHOTcrying crying crying

Where is the regard for human life????

When are people going to realize that GUNS ARE WEAPONS and in the wrong hands, they are LETHAL WEAPONS.crying crying crying

How many children have to die before someone does something about it????

Girls vs Boys

I've always been told that you raise boys differently from the way you raise girlsdunno

I'm not sure why that would be soconfused
I raised two girls, both of them are strong, goal orientated,
independent thinkers, determined and capable of handling any situation.smitten

Now I have a grandson, whom I half to help raising
(his mom does shift work) love smitten love

Am I supposed to rear him differently from the way I raised my girls???

And if so HOWconversing

To Emo or not to Emo . . .

that is the questionprofessor

I know there are those who abhor the excessive use of Emo'sscold

Me? . . . .I'm not one of themdrinking

I love the little miteslaugh

When I am conversingconversing face to face with someone, my hands, my tone, my eyes, my facial expression, my whole body, helps to convey what I am saying, backing my words upthumbs up or even calling me out on a teasedevil, or a jokegrin

When chatting here, the emo's have to perform that task, and even so, dunno one needs to do a lot more expansive typing in explanations in order to clarify a point professor or to avoid being misunderstood.blues

Have you ever found that what you wrote here has been partially or even completely misunderstood?uh oh

or the essence of your comment was lost? doh

Or even worse when people put agendas in your words which were never there to begin with wow shock

I have experienced it, sometimes its not a serious issue and I laugh laugh it off but other times it is serious enough to cause rifts, which in itself is upsettinghelp

Any thoughts on this?

Meetings....

I have had the pleasure of meeting a few local members from CS, I will not mentioned their names as they are not Bloggers, but in addition to them I have had the pleasure of a visit from our famous/infamous Morg, and Tangerino.dancing cheering

There are a number of other folks I would love to encounter for various reasons.

Some with whom I have inter-acted with on the blogs and others whom I have observed on the blogs. There are some with whom I am in sync and others who would probably rub me up the wrong way. There are a number of bloggers who have "grown onto me", whom I would also love to meet.

I think it would be great to actually meet them all face to face, have a drink, get into some great discussions, and last but not least, have a FANTABALISTIC PARTY...dance drinking conversingbartender drinking conversingdanceline drinking conversingparty group hug drinking drinking conversing conversing Oooops nearly forgot the food pizza burger

Is it worth the agro?

I have learnt a lot here in the blogs, by observing people and their attitudes and comments, and of course by participating in the blogs. Its not an accurate expression of who they are but it does give us some inkling of the measure of the person. It has also opened my mind to different views on topics which I hadn't given much thought to previouslythumbs up

Life is full of its own twists and turns, and its curve balls and torments, its turmoils and its frustrations.

Crazy things have been happening here lately . . .

Is it worth the frustration?
Is it worth the sleepless nights?
Is it worth the mess it makes in your daily life?

The last thing anybody needs is to have loathing or even hate eating up the lives for someone they have never met, or not even likely to meetdunno that happens often enough in real life.

Here we have the opportunity to tune people in or out of our lives or even just for the day, without hurting their feelings.conversing giving us the spce we need if and when we need it.

I think getting onto CS blogs offers a measure of escape from the norm for many, while for others it has been a means for expression of their feelings or even a journal of their day to day lives.

What we get out of it is what we put into it . . .

The idiosyncrasies of man

It is always amusing to watch people trying to interact or have a conversation with someone when they do not speak the same language. Inevitably the person who is comforatble in his/her home will speak louder and slower to the other. Is it in the hopes that they will learn their language during that process? or are they hoping that the other person will miraculously understand them. dunno confused

Another strange phenomena has presented itself to me the past few days. For almost a week now I have not been able to use my voice due to laryngitis. very interesting is the way people have been responding to me.grin

It started with my little grandson (not quite 2yrs old) who will whisper back at me when I speak to him in a whisperlaugh but what was even more amusing was that I got the same response from most of the people I tried to communicate with the past few daysdoh everybody seems to treat me as if I am either
A.... Deaf
B.... Mute
OR
C.....DUMB (I think this is probably the most common impression they haverolling on the floor laughing )

Anybody else encounter similar reactions from people?wine wine bouquet

"What does love mean?"

A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds,
________________________________________

"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore.

So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love."
Rebecca- age 8

________________________________________

"When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different.

You just know that your name is safe in their mouth."
Billy - age 4

________________________________________
"Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other."
Karl - age 5

________________________________________

"Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs."
Chrissy - age 6

________________________________________
"Love is what makes you smile when you're tired."
Terri - age 4

Our Doctors should be given the respect the deserv

Doctors spend 7years studying to tend to the sick, find cures for everything from the common cold to cancer and HIV and many unpronounceable diseases.

These esteemed professionals are the ones we run to when we need advice'

Here are their responses to a few of the most frequently asked questions:

Q: Doctor, I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life. Is this true?
A: Heart only good for so many beats, and that it... Don't waste on exercise. Everything wear out eventually. Speeding up heart not make you live longer; it like saying you extend life of car by driving faster. Want to live longer? Take nap.

Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake?
A: Oh no. Wine made from fruit. Brandy distilled wine, that mean they take water out of fruity bit so you get even more of goodness that way. Beer also made of grain. Bottom up!

Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio?
A: Well, if you have body and you have fat, your ratio one to one. If you have two body, your ratio two to one.

Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program?
A: Can't think of single one, sorry. My philosophy: No pain...good!

Q: Aren't fried foods bad for you?
A: YOU NOT LISTENING! Food fried in vegetable oil. How getting more vegetable be bad?

Q : Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the middle?
A: Oh no! When you exercise muscle, it get bigger. You should only be doing sit-up if you want bigger stomach.

Q: Is chocolate bad for me?
A: You crazy?!? HEL-LO-O!! Cocoa bean! Another vegetable! It best feel-good food around!

Q: Is swimming good for your figure?
A: If swimming good for figure, explain whale to me.

Q: Is getting in shape important for my lifestyle?
A: Hey! 'Round' is shape!

Well... I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about food and diets.
