Girls vs Boys
I've always been told that you raise boys differently from the way you raise girlsI'm not sure why that would be so
I raised two girls, both of them are strong, goal orientated,
independent thinkers, determined and capable of handling any situation.
Now I have a grandson, whom I half to help raising
(his mom does shift work)
Am I supposed to rear him differently from the way I raised my girls???
And if so HOW

Best wishes to you and your family.
With the girls I immediately knew I couldn't treat them the same, each needed to be handled differently
Now Just repeat after me . . .
YES DEAR
Just being the dotting gran
Unfortunately I tend to spend more time with him than she does
so I can't just drop the reigns and let it all ride until she is free to implement her rules
Thanks, that is something we need to be more aware of.
He is still in training, but I guess they're never too young to be taught the right way to do things
I try not to make comparisons between the girls.
Treating them different but equal really.
I just don't like the thing of "Boys will be boys" because sometimes they see it as a licence to do things which are absolutely NOT acceptable, but at the same time creating the balance where they have the freedom to explore
like this
walls but the whole house - inside and out - with him!
If i see him painting my walls i will keel his father.
With SOME exceptions that is what I would like for him too . . .Can we hire you to come spend some time with him
Thats when the little minx pulls out his bag of tricks
I don't think there is a thing which he does which is not recorded
