To Be Friend or Not to Be Friend
Just to touch onto an issue mentioned in another blog, but also something which has bothered me for a while.The FRIEND REQUEST box
This has been a problem for me.
I understand that this is an attempt for some to reach out to others, however I find it difficult to accept friends, when they have never made any other attempt to contact me
I accepted a few to see if this would change, but allas
I have come to the conclusion, that for most of them, it is merely a statement to post on their profile. "I have ...so many friends... therefore I am Kosher".I feel bad about ignoring the request, but I would much rather receive mail in my in my inbox or a flower with a nice message than an empty friend request
Perhaps someone has a different view on this issue, something which I haven't considered which might shed a fresh light on this issue?
At this point I no longer even check out my fiend request box

I think FB has a lot to answer for, the moment the word "friend" was used as a verb, a lot of the original meaning of it was lost.

maybe it should be called who i want to date list....
at least that would give it better meaning....

I dont need pics on my profile to show i have friends.
I would like to think that i do have friends and that i know that they r good friends.
Some have lots, and maybe u r right, it might be a statement to say...hey look at me... i have all these friends, yet they have never spoken.
Oh and a favorite list.... a list only those who make someone a fav can see....WTF....
Why behave...no one else here does.....

@OP: at some stage you have to tackle them and delete them.
I heve learnt that button is there for a good reason. I excercise my finger on a regular basis

but on the other hand, when the other guys see u, they may just come and hound u then u may wish to leave on ur own accord....
