To Emo or not to Emo . . .
that is the questionI know there are those who abhor the excessive use of Emo's
Me? . . . .I'm not one of them
I love the little mites
When I am conversing face to face with someone, my hands, my tone, my eyes, my facial expression, my whole body, helps to convey what I am saying, backing my words up or even calling me out on a tease, or a joke
When chatting here, the emo's have to perform that task, and even so, one needs to do a lot more expansive in explanations in order to clarify a point or to avoid being misunderstood.
Have you ever found that what you wrote here has been partially or even completely misunderstood?
or the essence of your comment was lost?
Or even worse when people put agendas in your words which were never there to begin with
I have experienced it, sometimes its not a serious issue and I laugh it off but other times it is serious enough to cause rifts, which in itself is upsetting
Any thoughts on this?

CofyJuliet,I like your emo inflection!
Last night I dreamt of the emos here and in my dream the emos were really big, so I'm trying to use the text size=40 option for you now!
With forever love,
PaulRomeoPaulRomeoThey say it not the size that counts
BTW, I actually met two guys who were called Romeo (geniune)
Now what do I do,
I can't even promise not to do it again
Can I bribe you with
what are you trying to say
Just kidding
ITs called quiet time... the time for reflection intraspection retrospection and inspiration
or just drinnking
On topic, they serve their purpose as a kinda verbal or visual adjective, providing intensity to the subject words or sentence.
CofyJuliet,Then it must be the shape of the emos!
BTW, I've never met a Capulet, besides you that I liked!
Well eloquently put my dear
(shape and size )
I love you
I love you
I love you
I love you
etc
I love you
Got it?
got my point? less is more sometimes
and emots can be noisy and/or leave dubt.
But hopefully not too often.
This holy shrine, the gentle sin is this
<-- tender pilgrim kisses
that sounds abit 'rock around the clock'
I'm all in!
here they are!
Says who? Says I.
What's your point? What point?
I thought at a glance I was reading the title as, "To Elmo or not to Elmo" (bro El )
I love emoticons Maybe they speak louder than my words
We can form an "Emofave Club"
Nite
Misunderstanding welll
They color up the page
I've been misunderstood
Sometimes I it off
But I try not to get or
After all it happens
Please
I also think they are pretty cool
Yess most of times they misunderstood my coments cos i like the emoticons too.
There is nothing wrong with my literary skills, I merely seek to explore my creative skills, by matching an emoticon to suit the tone of message. Of course those who have more than mere literary skills have the pleasurable ability to merge the two in such a way that they actually work in synergy with each other rather than in conflict
Don't stress about it
Besides everybody understands this
emots is for the ones who don't wanna hide only behind words
but want a wider perspective on things. Therefore i think it applies to all of us!
A lovely mix innit..
