Photo's etc. don't do justice to this natural wonder...
For the people living in this arid country this is a 'repeated miracle' that unfolds each year.
Takes a special breed of person to live and thrive in the Namaqualand and Kalahari.
Sorry I can't stay to entertain.
Much to do. Weekends are way too short.
Had a smile when I saw this.
Just Enjoy...
I'm exhausted... Just come out from doing some shopping at our local Pick n Pay Super Market with my trolley load of groceries,on my way to my car, parked about 300m from the exit.
I had just answered a call on my mobile when suddenly a gunshot rings out behind me and all hell breaks loose. People young and old are running like crazy and seeing that I too am living in South Africa start running with the stream.
I'm wearing rubber flip flops and soon I leave them behind as the urgency to get under cover is greater than keeping the rubbers under my feet and even bumping my big toe against the pavement doesn't slow me down. I'm running like there's no tomorrow, potatoes are flying, scattered, I can hear how the other persons are stepping on my unions and fruit, it seems as tho everyone just wants to get away from the shooter....
Shopping carts are not designed for a sprint and when taking a sharp left leading me in the general direction of my car, my cart over-turns spreading the final bags of groceries and fruit in the road...
I don't give a shit as long as I can get out of the line of fire with the others. Everyone is running for dear life. My shopping cart overturned and forgotten 60m back and out the corner of my eye I see traffic stopping to give us right of way to escape from the shooter....
A couple of blocks further I come to a shaky standstill and stop the the guy that was on my heels during most of the escape "WTF is happening??" I ask the guy...
He replies: "We are busy with a 5km Fun Run Marathon that has just begun at the Pick ,n Pay Supermarket."
Living in SA keeps a man fit.
Have a great weekend.
Soliciting??
Nahhh.
But seeing that:
Cape Town – The Western Cape High Court has made a landmark ruling, declaring that it is an infringement to ban the use of dagga by adults in private homes.
In making the ruling on Friday, it has allowed for the possession, cultivation and use dagga at home, for private use.
It has also ruled that Parliament must change sections of the Drug Trafficking Act, as well as the Medicines Control Act.
Please note that this is a Get Rich Quick Scheme, and a pipe dream combined.
Just another Pipe Dream. Hope you all have a great week ahead. I'm at work.
This is Cape Town and they say Port Elizabeth is the 'Windy' city...
Has anyone seen Lisa j77 around?
Thanks in advance.
Everyone has a life story.
Some horror and some are normal day to day deadpan, but most people strive to make their lives a best seller.
If life is a story, what does that say for someone who doesn’t have many interesting stories to share?
Are you the type of person that strives to make life as interesting as possible?
I don't like blogs asking questions but I'll excuse myself this time.
When I was younger these were the kind of questions that has pushed me to create as many interesting memories as I can for my own life. So I was always on the lookout for new adventures and experiences.
It’s interesting when I’m asked things like: eg:
“Why did you travel to Congo or Sierra Leone?”
“Why did you start Hang Gliding?”
Is your live story going to be a best seller or similar to mine which gets more boring as one grows older?
Just imagine if your life story was only to sit behind a keyboard day after day?
Your Grand kids wont be impressed with your life's story...
Doesn't matter how high ones IQ is
Its Friday and I am working.
Enjoy your weekend.
And to each and everyone on the blogs....
Even the duplicates..
