The Call of Wisdom

Wisdom calls aloud outside; She raises her voice in the open squares. She cries out in the chief concourses, At the openings of the gates in the city she speaks her words: “How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? For scorners delight in their scorning, And fools hate knowledge. Turn at my rebuke; Surely I will pour out my Spirit on you; I will make my words known to you. Because I have called and you refused, I have stretched out my hand and no one regarded, Because you disdained all my counsel, and would have none of my rebuke, I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your terror comes, when your terror comes like a storm, and your destruction comes like a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come upon you. “Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me. Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of the Lord, they would have none of my counsel and despised my every rebuke. Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way, and be filled to the full with their own fancies. For the turning away of the simple will slay them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them; But whoever listens to me will dwell safely, and will be secure, without fear of evil.” says, the Most High Lord God of Israel.

WARNING!: Another 9/11 Threat...

ISIS Warns Second 9/11 Is Coming, Says America's Geographical Location Won't Save Country From 'Army of Jihad'

BY STOYAN ZAIMOV , CHRISTIAN POST REPORTER
April 14, 2015|8:19 am

Terror group ISIS has released an 11-minute long video where it warns the United States of another 9/11-style attack. The militants said that America's geographical location won't bring it the safety it perceives to have, and warned that an "army of Jihad" is coming.

The Independent noted that the video, titled "We Will Burn America," is not the first of its kind – in January, the group warned to beheaded President Barack Obama and turn America into a Muslim province.

ISIS has captured significant territory in Iraq and Syria and has looked to expand its Islamic caliphate across the region. The U.S. and a broad coalition of allies, including a number of Arab states, have hit back with air strikes against terror targets.

The latest video warns that America wrongly believes it is safe because of its geographical location.

"Thus you see it invades the Muslim lands, and it thinks that the army of the Jihad won't reach in their lands," the message added.

"But the dream of the American to have safety became a mirage. Today there is no safety for any American on the globe.

It continued: "But today, it's time for payback. By the grace of Allah, today the mujahideen are much more stronger and they have more resources. Thus they are able to burn United States again."

The jihadists remind America of the several behedings they have carried out of U.S. citizens, including the death of journalist James Foley.

The video also boasts of other Islamic extremist attacks on the West, including the shootings in Paris in January carried out by French-born gunman Amedy Coulibaly, and Canadian Michael Zehaf-Bibeau's 2014 attack on the Canadian Parliament.

Human rights groups and news reporters have documented the extensive abuses carried out by ISIS on a daily basis. While men have been routinely beheaded in mass slaughters often recorded on video, women and children have been enslaved, beaten and raped.

Earlier this week, an aid worker in Iraq revealed the story of a nine-year-old Yazidi girl who had been raped by at least 10 militants, resulting in a pregnancy.

"This girl is so young she could die if she delivers a baby," said Canadian-based aid worker Yousif Daoud.

"Even a caesarian section is dangerous. The abuse she has suffered left her mentally and physically traumatized."

ISIS has also targeted religious minorities, especially Christians, in its ongoing attacks.

In February, the terror group released a video titled "A Message Signed with Blood to the Nation of the Cross," in which it showed the beheadings of 21 Coptic Christians that had been kidnapped in Libya.

The jihadists have also kidnapped over 250 Assyrian Christians, and are asking for $30 million for their release.

“Guaranteed Resurrection”

On Sunday, Christians all over the world will celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ who died on the cross for the remission (forgiveness) of our sins, He was buried, and was raised from the dead by the power of God.
Easter translated means Passover. Easter (Passover) is celebrated on the first Sunday after the full moon following the vernal equinox, the date of Easter is between March 22 and April 23.

This Sunday School lesson is for your spiritual edification.

A Commentary On The International Sunday School Lesson for Sunday April 5, 2015

“Guaranteed Resurrection”

Scripture Text: I Corinthians 15:Verses 1-11; 20-22
Time of the Action: 55 A.D.
Place of the Action: Paul writes to the church at Corinth from Ephesus

Golden Text: “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive” (I Corinthians 15:22).

I. INTRODUCTION.
In this week’s lesson, Paul explained the meaning of Christ’s resurrection to the Corinthian believers. He stressed that the glorious future resurrection of Christians is guaranteed by Christ’s resurrection. This Easter morning, as we study this lesson we have the opportunity to glory in the understanding and blessings of Christ’s resurrection.

II. BACKGROUND FOR THE LESSON.As Greeks, the people of Corinth were most likely influenced by Greek philosophers, who scoffed, or made fun of the very idea of a resurrection (see Acts 17:32). While it is unlikely that the Corinthian believers doubted the resurrection of Christ, it was apparent from I Corinthians 15:12 that they had doubts concerning the future resurrection of Christians. This prompted Paul to write fully about the resurrection in I Corinthians chapter 15.

III. THE GOSPEL AND CHRIST’S RESURRECTION (I Corinthians 15:1-4)

A. The gospel and salvation (I Corinthians 15:1-2).
1. (Verse. 1).
In our first verse Paul says “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand.” The word “Moreover” indicates a change from what Paul wrote in chapter 14 to what he was about to write now. Of course he called the Corinthian believers “brethren” because they were all members of the same family, the church of God (see I Corinthians 1:2). He went on to say “I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you.” Paul was about to remind the Corinthian believers of the gospel that he had preached to them on his second missionary journey (see Acts 18:1, 4). The word “gospel” means good news. Paul told them that the gospel he preached “ye have received, and wherein ye stand.” In other words, by faith they had accepted the message of the gospel, which included the resurrection. However, false teaching had entered in saying that there was no resurrection for Christians who had died, even though they accepted Christ’s resurrection (see I Corinthians 15:12). With the words “wherein ye stand,” Paul affirmed their faith as they stood firmly in that same gospel he preached.

Stay Away From Ouija Boards...

This blog was written by a CS member. It is posted on her behalf.

I had a good friend who was a Tarot card reader. She was famous.
Never asking for money but people would buy her things, buy her lunch, dinner.
I loved her reading my cards I found it fascinating.
I wanted to know about a certain man. Yes he will be yours for sure.
I used a Ouija board I became so good at it I could do it alone.
II f I did it with a friend she would accuse me that I moved the pointer.
I did not even touch the pointer but hovered above it.

One day I had the idea to ask God to talk to me through the Ouija board. I didn’t know that what I was doing was really praying. Strangely it now did not work at all. What I now saw was only mumbo jumbo. The letters did not make a sentence.
So I said; “Oh you don’t want to answer and help me God, Okay!”
Later I learned that my praying had cancelled out Satan's power.

A friend asked me to go with him to see my friend the Tarot card reader.
Fortune tellers are fond of telling you how some things they said came to pass.
When I pointed out to my friend when she had been wrong, she did not like to hear it.
For some reason I did not like to go anymore, also because she had confided in me that this man’s wife was going to die in a car accident.

I let my friend talk me into going but when I saw my friend the reader and remembering what she had told me about his wife, I quietly asked her not to tell this man anything bad.
She became irritated and told us that whatever she would see In the cards, she would tell.
In panic I silently talked to God and asked that my friend would not tell him about his wife.

Never will I forget what happened next; It was mesmerizing to hear her say; ahum, ahum, ahum over and over again. Finally she looked up and told my friend; “You must be very confused today as I can not read the cards”
For the first time a little light went off in my head, what is this about praying that makes the Ouija board stop working and the Tarot cards not being able to be read?
It was the start of my asking questions and after a long time had to conclude that their was a God and that prayer worked.

The biggest question I was left with was; What did Jesus have to do with it all?
Want to read the rest of my stories, just asked me and I will send them to you...
Stay away from things like the Ouija board it is not an innocent game.

I want to tell you, never fool around with the Ouija board it is not a game. It is very demonic.
A little minister's boy saw kids at school on the playground with the Ouija board.
When he told the kids that it was wrong what they were doing, they laughed at him.
The boy then told them okay, ask the Ouija where it gets its power. The boys did and the Ouija answered; “Hitler.”
The boy knew that this was a lie, so he commanded it to tell the truth, this time the answer was; “Satan.”
A family would every night after supper, take out the Ouija board and play the game.
They had noticed that the cat liked it also, for as soon as they started to play, it would come out too watch.

One day a Christian happened to stop by at the time they were playing.
She was shocked when she saw what they were doing, and told them so.

They too, did not want to believe her, so she said to ask the Ouija what it wanted from them.
When they asked this, the answer came; “Your soul.”
They were so upset that they threw the board in the fireplace where they all saw the face of a woman appear.
The Christian said; "You must do this burning in the name of Jesus." The next day the cat was found dead.

Stay away from the Ouija it is not a game! It can bring you in spiritual darkness for years to come.
I sure wished that I had never heard about this diabolical, so-called “Game” It is dangerous, very dangerous.

Strangely it was because of these experiences that I now needed to find out who was Jesus?
What and who was behind answering prayer?

Justified by Faith Or Good Works?...

Galatians Chapter 2:verses 14-21, man is justified by faith alone in righteousness, and not by good works of self-righteousness.

14 But when I saw that they were not straightforward about the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter before them all, “If you, being a Jew, live in the manner of Gentiles and not as the Jews, why do you compel Gentiles to live as Jews? We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.

17 “But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is Christ therefore a minister of sin? Certainly not! For if I build again those things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”

No one can be justified by observing the law, it is only by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ that we have been justified unto salvation through the atoning death of our Lord Jesus Christ, man cannot spiritually vindicate himself of his own sin debt charges.

It’s a very simple task, a person can either have faith to believe unto salvation and receive God’s righteousness and forgiveness, which only God can grant; or a person can take it upon him/herself own to do good works unto their own salvation and self-righteousness by trying to gain God‘s free gift and favor, which only leads to legalism, self-righteousness and being in more sin debt before God, because of unbelief..

Paul’s argument was that, if a person had faith in Jesus Christ and was justified as being saved, why would a person also need works of the law to go along with their faith to justified them? Faith is all that is needed which causes a person to depend totally upon God along to bring them into right standing with God and alive in Christ. Paul’s point was that if the law justified a person, then God made a big mistake by sending Jesus to die on the cross and His death was not enough to accomplish salvation, and was in vain therefore, we all are still sinners.

Justification by faith in Christ alone is God’s love, mercy and grace shown toward mankind that no Jewish law or any law can, or is capable of making such pardon for sins, and it was spiritual wrong of the Jews to think that because they were the chosen people, obeying the laws of Moses, and being circumcised was enough to justify them as being God’s people. But Paul let it be known in this chapter, that justification was/is only by faith alone, no matter if they were Jews or Gentiles... faith alone in Jesus Christ a person stands justified as God’s chosen people no partiality.

The Galatians had a choice to either continue in their faith to believe in Christ, or turn their backs on their faith and follow the law from which their faith had delivered them. We today, have the same choice to have faith to believe in the accomplished works of the Lord Jesus Christ who died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins, or reject this truth and turn our backs to God's Truths and continue in our own sinful ways.

Our good works on earth does nothing for our souls salvation eternally. Faith is by grace, works are of the law.

Dating outside your faith?...

I find this article to be very interesting, for those who may feel God has forgotten them in finding a date or husband/wife.

Christian Intermingle: Can We Date Outside the Faith?

Sometimes, it feels like God doesn’t have a match for you.
Type the word "dating" into your Bible search tool, and what comes up? Nothing.
I remember wishing there was an entire book of the Bible dedicated to the topic when I was single, or at least a chapter. Now, I get emails from singles across the country looking for guidance on who and how to date.

While many start off with intentions of finding a godly partner, with each passing year the waiting feels longer and the hoping gets harder. Slowly, we can find ourselves starting to second-guess our original standards, wondering if we've been too extreme or unrealistic. Within that struggle, inevitably the question comes up: Can a Christian date a non-Christian?

The Bible addresses the hardships that come with marrying a nonbeliever, so that's rather clear. But single Christians may be tempted to say, "Well, it doesn't talk about dating. Can't we just date?"
To answer, it's important to take a step back and look at some principles found in Scripture. In Corinthians, Paul writes to a new group of Christians, who've asked him what's okay and not okay for them to partake in as believers in Christ. Paul then challenges the church not to simply ask, "Is it okay?" but instead to ask, "Is it beneficial?" (1 Cor. 10:23).

When a topic isn't directly addressed in the Bible, this can be a helpful guide for us. Because yes, it's okay for us to date someone who doesn't profess Christ. But to ask Paul's question, does it benefit our walk? Does it push us closer to Jesus? God doesn't call us to simply go after the acceptable in life, but the best, most enriching, most God-glorifying. Dating a nonbeliever may not be a sin, but we can do ourselves an injustice when okay gets in the way of what is best for us.

Again, God's Word doesn't talk about dating in particular, though many of its principles can guide our relationships. 2 Corinthians 6:14 reminds us of the importance of being bound together with believers. Genesis 2:24 tells us there is no greater binding experience than the commingling of two people into one, in this thing we call marriage. God knows the difficulty that comes with making two into one, and he encourages his children to be yoked together with someone with whom they can become fully one—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We are holistic beings, and in order to truly connect, we must find someone with whom we can connect on every level.

Many Christian singles, even those considering pursuing relationships with people outside of the church, know this deep down. But waiting for love can be trying. It's easy to grow weary in waiting and attempt to jump into a relationship with someone that you may connect with physically and emotionally, but not spiritually—believing that this is as good as it gets and settling for less than best. For people who find themselves in this situation, it's important to remember the reason for the waiting.

The Struggle Between The Two Natures

Romans chapter 7...
Jesus Christ is the only one who can helps us handle the battle of the two natures within us and our battle with the carnal mind which brings sin alive in our flesh. And know this, that the sinful nature that is not in Christ, will submit to the new nature that is born again in Christ, if you submit to the Holy Spirit your old sin nature, by God's principle of serving, the old sinful nature will be put to death and will serve the new spiritual nature that is alive in Christ, and you will find yourself no longer desiring to fulfill the flesh in sin.
We can overcome the battle of sin, and many other life struggles and circumstances, and battles from within and without that we encounter on this earthly journey, by encouraging ourselves in the Lord. Keep your minds focused on Jesus. So, what does it mean to encourage yourself in the Lord? Firstly, the word “encourage” means: To give courage to; or to give hope or confidence to; to help by giving support to; or to be favorable, or to be favorable toward someone or something, or yourself.

Therefore, to encourage yourself in the Lord is to give yourself personal support, or courage, or confidence in prayer and the reading of God's Word. Knowing that God is there for you, and with you in all things, if you place all your faith, trust, and hope in Him, and believe that God will be with you through whatever situation or circumstances you may encounter in your life.

One thing we know for sure is, that God is not ignorance of your problems or your tests or trials, because most of what we experience in life, He is the one who has allowed these things to happen in order that our faith and trust in Him might grow stronger, so that we, as Christian believers might grow-up to spiritually mature believers. Our responsibility is to encourage ourselves in all things in prayer, or praise, in worshiping to God. If you’re in the right of things, and you are doing your very best to please God, God will take you through and bring you out. And if you’re not in the right of things, and continue to flirt with sin in your life, while confessing and professing Christ as your Savior, expect God to discipline you and allow you to go through more than you should.

Hebrews chapter 12, let's us know that God will chasten His children for their sins. And yes, God will allow you to suffering the consequences of your wrongs and sins, but He is still there with, and for you, once you repent of your wrong doings and sinful ways. No matter what, you can resolve problems from within yourself, you can win the battle over sin by totally surrendering your life to the Lord, and allowing the Holy Spirit to order your step, because you are no longer your own, you were brought with a price, that you can't repay. For now you are a new creature in Christ, born again with a new nature. Even when no one encourages you, and you have separated yourself from those who say its alright to do such and such. It is for you to take responsibility for your own behavior and actions as a Christian believer, by keep yourself encouraged in the Lord through prayer and God's Word, keep yourself connected and in unity with the Holy Spirit.

The devil is slick and has many ticks up his selves, and he knows just the right time to attack your mind and emotions during your moments and periods of worry and feeling in despair and need. DON’T WORRY, BE HAPPY IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST! For greater is the Holy Spirit who lives on the inside of you, than the devil who is in the world.

So, What If I Am?...

So what?... so what?... so what?.. got a problem with it?... So What If I am?... This was sent to me therefore, In honor of African American Black History month, I salute the African American/Black woman with this beautiful piece of written literature. The author is unknown, but she's out there somewhere.

What If I Am A Black Woman?...
Is it a disease? Well, if it is, I sure hope it’s catching
Because they need to pour it into a bottle,
label it, and sprinkle it All over the people
men and women who have ever loved or cried,
worked or died for any one of us.

So, What if I am a Black woman?
Is it a crime? Then, Arrest me!
Because I'm strong, but I'm gentle,
I'm smart, but I'm forever learning,
I'm loving, but I can also express hate.
And I like to work because
I like to eat and feed and clothe
and house Me, mine
and yours and everybody's,
Like I've been doing for the past 300 years.

What if I am a Black woman?
Is it insane? Go ahead and Commit me!!
Because I want Happiness, not tears;
Truths not lies; Pleasure not pain;
Sunshine not rain; A man not a child!

What if I am a Black woman? Is it a sin?
Pray for me! And pray for you too,
If you don't like women of color
because we are, Midnight Black,
Chestnut Brown, Honey Bronzed,
Chocolate Covered, Cocoa Dipped, Banana Cream;
Big Lipped, Big Hipped, Big Breasted, Thin Lipped, Narrow Hipped, and BEAUTIFUL
all at the same time!

So what if I am a Black Woman?
Does it bother you that much because
I want a man who wants me,
Loves me and trusts me, and respects me
For who I am
And gives me everything because
I give him everything back... PLUS MORE!!

What if I am a Black woman? I've got rights,
same as you! I have worked for them,
died for them, played and laid for them,
On every plantation from Alabama to Boston and Back!

What if I am a Black woman?
I love me, and I want you to love me too,
But I am as I've always been,
Near you, close to you, beside you,
strong giving, loving, forgiving, and caring
For over 300 years, I have been Your Black woman, our Black woman, their Black woman, his Black woman... So Love me for who I am!
