Truth and Light

Today I made myself in life anew

By going to that royal fount of truth

And searching for the secret of the few

Whose goal in life and aim is joy forsooth

I found at last the friend and counsellor

That taught me all that I in life should know

It is the soul the sovereign chancellor

The guide and keeper of the good you sow

I am advised: Go ye have faith in sel

And seek once more the guide that lives in you

Much better than the world of sordid pelf

Alas! I found the counsel to be true

Aha! I know right now that I shall see

The good in lif and be a better man

I will by thought and deed pull all to me

In saving others yea, every one

Go down and search yourself awhile in part

And tell me all of what vou see and hear

Isn't there something pulling at your heart

Tell me the truth and have ye then no fear

There is a voice that speaks to me within

It is the Soul that longs for you to know

For you in truth and light may ever grow

A Promise

"Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. Look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. Think only of the best, work for only the best, and expect only the best. Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. Give so much time to the improvement of your self that you have no time to criticize others. Live in the faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the very best that is in you!"

May God Bless You in all You do.

Hugs

traits of a bird ...

First, it seeks the highest place;
Second, it withstands no company;
Third, it holds its beak in the air;
Fourth, it has no definite color;
Fifth, it sings sweetly.
These traits must be possessed by the contemplative soul.
It must rise above passing things, paying no more heed to them than if they did not exist.
It must likewise be so fond of silence and solitude that it does not tolerate the company of another creature.
It must hold its beak in the air of the Holy Spirit, responding to his inspirations, that by so doing it may become worthy of his company.
It must have no definite color, desiring to do nothing definite other than the will of God.
It must sing sweetly in the contemplation and love of its Bridegroom...

Message of Love

Today is the day that I will send

a message of love to you on the breeze,

to confirm the alliance of friendship that you and I share

it will soar through the clouds

dash humbly through the trees

and will gracefully come to you

in the twilight of the night

with spread wings, purple ribbons

and hand picked flowers from the land.

As a token of your beauty and the fullness of living

to let other maidens know your devotion is grand,

you and I share a fondness that is pure love

that will live beyond the doors of time,

it will be delivered by my favorite dove

something for your heart from mines.

There on young rose petals I have said

in seven bold letters with a colorful hue

that you can wear real nicely around your head

to let the world know what I feel is true.

I love you and only you my loveliness

no other adore could be better then this

that joins my spirit on an inspiring bliss

where our union has been sealed with God’s lilac kiss.

Its important...

1. It's important to have a woman who helps at home, cooks, cleans and has a good job.

2. It's important to have a woman who can make you laugh.

3. It's important to have a woman who you can trust and doesn't lie.

4. It's important to have a woman who is good in bed and likes being with you.

And...

5. Its very, very important that these four women don't ever find out about each other.

HOPE

If everything comes down to love
Then just what am I afraid of
When I call out Your name
Something inside awakes in my soul
How quickly I forget... I'm Yours
I'm not my own
I've been carried by You
All my life

Everything rides on hope now
Everything rides on faith somehow
When the world has broken me down
Your love sets me free

When my life is like a storm
Rising waters all I want is the shore
You say I'll be ok and
Make it through the rain
You are my shelter from the storm
I'm not my own
I've been carried by You
All my life

Everything rides on hope now
Everything rides on faith somehow
When the world has broken me down
Your love sets me free

Everything rides on hope now
Everything rides on faith somehow
When the world has broken me down
Your love sets me free

You've become my hearts desire
I will sing Your praises higher
Cause Your love sets me free
Your love sets me free
Your love sets me free

`No snowflake ever falls in the wrong spot'.

Most of us would agree with this statement when thing are good ...when we meet the right person, land the right job, or get a great seat at the show because someone else just canceled. But what about when times are difficult, or challenging? What about when we lose that job, or loved one, or when things go wrong and there's no money to pay the bills? Do we still believe all is as it should be?

I'd clipped this quote several months ago, and held onto it. I didn't know why at the time, that even though I loved the quote, I could never find the additional words to write. I now know. This week threw some difficult challenges at me, and as I asked the heavens for understanding, those words suddenly came to mind. `No snowflake ever falls in the wrong spot'. Was it true? Yes. Unequivocally. Even in times of disappointment and sorrow, if we continue to look for wisdom, our eyes will open to the beauty of the snow as it falls into our lives ... each crystallized raindrop drifting into the perfect spot within the puzzle of our lives. And just like a jigsaw puzzle, without each and every piece, there would be no completed picture - our lives would be left missing moments of joy, moments of overcoming, moments of completion, and moments of peace.

We do not always know why things happen - we cannot see the whole picture just yet. But each piece - each moment, each person, each day - is a part of the perfection of our life. We only need to hear the whisper of the snowflakes falling into place ... and then we can look forward with the peace and understanding that all is, indeed, as it should be. And to live each day with grace and joy.

With love & gratitude always ...

If you remember one thing this year, remember this ... this moment will never, ever come again. The moment to decide something, to do something, to change something ... that moment is here - right now. What will you use it for?

3 things...

There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real. snowed in

Happiness is looking into the eyes
of someone you love
and realizing that the look in their eyes
is the same one you have in yours. joy

You are worth more than all the world can offer you, know this. Know that any man that gets to hold your hand, carress your face, or receive your 'I love you', won't deserve any of it. BUT, he will appreciate it. He will appreciate you. LOVE you. Someday, darling. Be patient. Be prayful. Know your worth, and don't settle for less." flower

Relationships through the internet

The most important thing in any relationship is honesty. Its a big problem with internet and long distance relationships. Trust, can you trust them 100%? Are they completely honest or do they tell you little white lies because they know its exactly what you want to hear and it will avoid a confrontation. Do you do the same thing? Do you fight alot for trivial reasons. Before you begin arguing ask yourself if thats truely whats bothering you. Or is the reason you argue with each other because of missing each other and longing to be together.

If thats the main reason because you are apart then you need to tell them exactly how you feel. It takes strong indendent people to be able to handle a long distance relationship. You have to be confident in yourself and know which direction you want your relationship to take. If you are always aguing it may be time to re-evaluate and change the relationship. It may just take spending more time together during the week to improve things between the two of you. Maybe its time to spend a long weekend together or a weeks vacation. This may just be the sollution to your problems. Missing someone you want to be with is one of the hardest ways to live. It causes a great deal of stress. Lets face it you are alone most of the time and if you aren’t strong enough to handle that you will never make it.

If the distance is a major factor perhaps its time for one of you to consider moving. But before you do that makes sure its what you both really want. After all one of you will be giving up alot, a job, friends, family, and life as you know it. Good luck to all of you who are living in long distance relationships now. You can make it. Just takes a little more effort than a normal relationship.

If I hold it for a day...

A lecturer, when explaining stress management to an audience, raised a glass of water and asked, "How heavy is this glass of water?"

Answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g.

The lecturer replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long you try to hold it.

If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem.

If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm.

If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance.

In each case, it's the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes."

He continued, "And that's the way it is with stress management. If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden becomes increasingly heavy, we won't be able to carry on."

"As with the glass of water, you have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again. When we're refreshed, we can carry on with the burden."

"So, before you return home tonight, put the burden of work down.

Don't carry it home. You can pick it up tomorrow.

Whatever burdens you're carrying now, let them down for a moment if you can."

So, why not take a while to just simply RELAX.

Put down anything that may be a burden to you right now.

Don't pick it up again until after you've rested a while.

Letting go

Some of us think holding on makes us strong;
but sometimes it is letting go.

How many times can one heart break?
How many tears can be cried?
How many words can be spoken?
Before their eyes are opened?

What holds one back from wanting
The love you freely give?
What stops someone from taking
The 'everything' you give?

The only fear they should hold
Is if they keep that door closed

Do I have enough faith?

I don't know about you, but I really struggle with faith. Not "my faith", but wondering if I really have enough faith and trust in God when things gets tough.

I really do have faith in God and faith in His promises, but when you are in the middle of a major struggle or crisis in your life, sometimes faith is hard. I have complete faith that God will answer prayers, but then I wonder, "Am I praying enough, am I praying the right things, when I wonder why things aren't happening does it mean my faith is not strong enough, when I think about the worst case scenario and what could happen, does that erase all the prayers I've prayed because I'm doubting the outcome, does it make me have to start over with my prayers, does it hinder the prayers I've already prayed?"

For me those are all really hard questions I struggle with in crisis. I know God is there and I know He has a plan, but is my faith or sometimes lack thereof a hindrance to what He is trying to accomplish or change? What if the outcome is different than what I am praying for, does that mean my faith wasn't strong enough?

Matthew 17 says, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed...nothing will be impossible for you." When you think of a mustard seed you think of something so small. I think surely my faith is at least as large as mustard seed. But how do we measure faith, is my faith as large as a mustard seed?

I know I have to trust that the God I serve is bigger than any crisis. I have to believe that my faith is strong enough. I know I have to have faith in God's promises. I do have complete faith in God. I do know that God is bigger than any crisis in my life. I do know that my God can accomplish anything. So why is it that those little shreds of doubt are always creeping in?

I will continue to pray the prayer of the boy's father in Luke 9, "I do believe; help me overcome my disbelief".

Blessings!
