Toys

I'm watching American Pickers and they are picking a guy who has tons of toys. This got me to thinking, how many toys of mine can I remember. I am 68 years old and I can honestly say I can only remember 2. A blue and orange dump truck. It was metal and I used to roll it around the living room floor. The other was an erector set. I used to build various things with it.

How many of you, lets say over 50 years old can remember your childhood toys? If so how many of them can you remember. How many of you still have some of them?

I remember my grandma giving me the biggest baby doll I ever had and a little rocking chair for Christmas. That was my favorite thing to do was rock my baby. I remember building with tinker toys.
I can remember vaious dolls, my first typewriter toy. I can remember more of my children's toys than my own though. I'll never forget the the look on my boy's face as he tried to stretch out Stretch Armstrong.
I remember a doll, beautiful doll, mother bought me when I was 4 on the way home from doctor. I guess I had a hard time there at doctor's, so mother took me to the department store and bought me a doll with blonde curly hair and a blue dress, and she was right: I immediately forgot about doctor when I held the doll in my hands. Later I destroyed it when playing 'mother and child' - doing all kinds of things with it: cutting hair, bathing, experimenting with clothes, but children learn when playing with and then destroying toys. My parents were good people - they taught me how to love each other and be considerate to others, and many thanks to them from the bottom of my heart! Thanks for the thread - I loved it. Best regards!hug bouquet
