So its just a rumour. And in any case would have been after the Guard was allowed back into the capitol building.
Not entirely True. Newspaper rags like the Sun and the Daily Mail skirt the rules pretty close. It is true that broadcast News, as in News on Television, is much more centrist however.
Well, there was just one restroom with 2 stalls available to the 5,000 troops who were told to leave the Capitol … and temperatures dipped into the low 40s by nightfall.
FOX BANGOR MAINE
But there are alternatives for getting the truth and more are coming online so those of us with actual gray matter between the ears will still have access to the truth.
Sooo ...
Covid Warrior Ol' Joe brings in National Guard to "Guard" his Inauguration in a Military Photo-Op ("like having a bouncer at baby shower" - FOX News) that included the 1st Ol' Lady sharing cookies with the Guard ... then sends 'em Home creating his Very Own Super Spreader Event.
COVID WARRIOR OL' JOE!
KOKH: Inhofe: One officer "without authority" told National Guard troops to vacate Capitol ...
"It seems people are speculating: 'Maybe this is overkill? Maybe we didn't need this many people here?" Inhofe said while speaking from the Senate floor Friday. "They're wrong. This was a nice, successful inauguration, a successful, peaceful transfer of power, because they were there."
The ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee says there has been an investigation launched into why the guard members were kicked out of the Capitol. He shared some of those details on the Senate floor.
"This is what happened: There was one uniformed police officer, who issued an order without authority, or without going through the chain of command," said Inhofe. "And I'm glad that the U.S. Capitol Police and the guard are talking and trying to figure this out." ...
"Ultimately one message for our national guard up here: You are appreciated. You are welcome. We are very, very grateful for the sacrifices you made," said Sen. Inhofe. "And if you’re ever told you need to vacate and don’t have a comfortable place, just go to Russell 205 and I’ll make sure you’ll be very comfortable in my office."
A laughable example of someone being thrown under the bus.
In reality an office is not an accommodation,
it is not the usual case that a very small group
is off on their own unless commanded to.SOP.
