For Those Who Like to recall the pop songs of 1960's

I've Gotta Get a Message to You

Music of the movie titled "Melody"

And thank you - if someone can explain to me, how to upload here a video in the blogs - with the standstill picture of the view of a video like this. I can see that many of us can do, though I also tried, I could not succeed. :)

Bee Gees - In The Morning | Melody (1971)
to Stringman -
Thank you, I love all songs of Bee Gees approx. from the 1960's, The In the Morning is also very nice, - they had still a beautiful music periode, ( later they changed their style (disco music), and it was already completely different ). However, Bee Gees was one of the best bands, a very talented company.
The movie "Melody"was also a nice youth story.
So good to remember!
Let me try,
1) you need brackets in front and back with YouTube in them * back one should have the backslash in it
Same as the brackets for bold, color, size or strike
2) the URL has to be changed next
3)
4)behind the backslash add watch?v=code

Try it, if it worked you may forget so save this info.
Just like kpthatsme url thumbs up add brackets.
to kpthatsme - Thanks, now I listened to Frank Sinatra, it was great listening again!

to RoseHipster and FargoFan - I am glad of your help, I will try it again tomorrow, my head is too sleepy tonight..:)
Janis Joplin’s passionate performance of ‘Piece of My Heart’ live in New York, 1968.It’s hard to imagine anyone else singing ‘Piece of My Heart’ after you’ve heard the bold and unabashed performance of Janis Joplin live.

Same voice different years, this one is the bestwaveA human able to create a masterful noise with her mouth, and a human capable of conveying the expression of sound, but a human nevertheless.

:):):) Well, today I tried to understand this VIDEO PASTE thing ,- I spent at least 2 hours on trying, meanwhile I recalled my memories of the teacher training college where I graduated, how I suffered with computer commands in the computer lessons!...:) - and though I got the most excellent marks to every other subjects which were the main vocational subjects of my studies, the computer lessons was the only one by - I was almost fallen, only a computer expert friend saved me from fall in the last moment...:):):) angel
I do not want to say "I give up" - as I learned recently from the bear cub to never give up,- but I can see my trial hopeless at this time...I already have to cook the dinner....:)

Do you know what Bobby soxers were in the 60s.
And sock hops.wave
Hi, Rose! Sadly I never heard about them. Tell more about it.wave
They would play 45 records in the school gymnasium and you were not allowed to dance in your shoes and ruin the wood floor, so they danced in their socks.

This costume is something like what girls wore back then, the black n whites shoes especially and hair up in a ponytail.Ice cream shops or drive in food, and drive in outdoor movies were so popular.

"You Turn Me On" by Ian Whitcomb

The story behind this song was that Ian Whitcomb sang the song with a funny falsetto voice just for fun, he was fooling around in the studio, before he was supposed to sing it with his real voice.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, however you see it. The record producer loved the Falsetto voice version, and decided to release it on the record. He made the right choice. It became a big hit.
Sending to RiseHipster gift
Perhaps this is that song:

to RoseHipster: Oh, yes, there were so many playful ideas, nice memories, and we also loved to dance!
I never forget the dance evenings in our secondary school! But the music in that time was great! wave
to Robrt787- Thanks!

A little earlier, but Les P and Mary F sang together until about 63.

This Parisian guitarist is amazing, and guess who the singer (multi-tracking) is!
to FargoFan -
Thanks, really very good, fluent playing the guitar. Who is this Paul guitarist? From what years are this video? I guess, somewhat the recent decade(s) from (2010 -2020?)
Les Paul and Mary Ford were big hits in the 50s, and Les Paul one of the best ever guitarists, played into his 90s, only surrendering his pick in 2009. Les Paul is right up there with Chet Atkins. This was one of their hits of the 50s along with Vaya con Dios and Mockingbird Hill. This youtube was made just a few weeks ago, they are reproducing many of the LP and MF songs. A lot of their recordings are done separately under lockdown in Paris, as is the following one.

Here's the original recording for comparison. Pretty faithful including the multi-tracking.
I love the Bee Gees, too. This song isn't from the 60's (recorded in 1970), but close enough. giggle
The piano and horns are amazing! And what a haunting melody.

to La Femme... -
Lonely Days - I like it ver much! Yes, the Gibb brothers sing always with a great deep empathy.
1970 - brings the same line as their songs from the 60's. Their tunes were always new surprises and melodic as well.

Bee Gees: Alive (1972)

Hi Melody, here's one last Bee Gees video (rather long, several songs) when they were just kids. wow

Another great song of the 60's - The Zombies banana
