Halloween past
We all have memories growing up what it was like during the Halloween season. Seems like a lifetime ago, as I have fond memories of Halloween. The cold crisp weather, the scary movies put out by various networks, and of course, the candy.
I would say my favorite Halloween was spent on Halloween eve when my area had trick-or-treat night on that day every years from about 5pm to 6:30 or 7pm. It was 1984 when my gf came down to spend it with me. We strolled around the area and got with my friend Steve as he was handing out candy to the kids out on the step for and elderly couple he knew. We sat down with him for a bit as we went on our way back to my house. We sat out back in my lounge chair out in my back yard for a while, and I gotta say, it may not have seemed like a lot, but it was honestly like a little piece of heaven for me. As I have gotten older, these memories have become even more special for me.

Oh, and as for the candy, gotta love those peanut M&M's, Reese's, Kit Kat's, and Twix candy.

We were quite poor but I remember when I was very young my father nicked an apple and we had so much fun with it on Halloween. He placed it in a bowl of water and we tried for about an hour but just couldnt bite it. Then he tied it to the ceiling light and again we tried to bite it but eventually gave up.
But the best part was when he sliced it into eight pieses and we all got a piece.
