OH NO NO NO
I came home and what did i see
a man on top of the roof with my birds.
He was clearing chimney chicks and all 
and putting a cowl on top of chimney. The poor parents swooped around but sadly chicks swept down the chimney i presume.
I was so upset, so hope this photo come down of the DEVIL man

Probably booked prior to eggs being laid/hatching.
Still, not fair on the little tykes. They weren't hurting anyone.
I can't find whether certain applications, or other paperwork has to be carried out prior to destroying a nest in a chimney, but it does seem a bit dodgy to me given nesting season is so short. Unless the nest dropped and your neighbours quickly had the work done to prevent the adults from coming to harm looking for their young.

but yes i get your out of box thinking mine was about hard work of birds now no release as they have been coming to chimney all day stopping sometimes 10mins at time.
I hope they find a tree and start all over again
