Brostrom, Coulombe & Petry.... walking almost every day to school via Trumpet Lane ..on the way to gold & El Dorado High.
My brother was in the Car , circa 1972 ..when Mr. Petry told Dan... ) That was your L A S T game as quarterback...from now on the focus is hardball & pitching. ...among my fondest memories of youth, besides having a future major leaguer in my network, was going to our high school gym & watching El Dorado basketball for about .50¢ admission vs. Sunny Hills & San Clemente ..with the score usually sum thing like 58- 55. Super duper competitive. With equally impressive band & cheer leaders..
For the record, my baseball skills were dwarfed by Petry, Coulombe & Brostrom..etc.
..El Dorado was League champion or runner up in 1972,3...[ Basketball
And my new school in 1974 was Amador Valley High
East Bay Athletic League champ in 1974.
My lone memory of this was not being able to call who was better at the time.. El Dorado or Amador Valley. El Dorado did put 1 player in the pros..that eYe recall, Kevin Deweese, Atlanta Hawks...
But the perfection of the Climate takes only 2-3 weeks to awe you-- even as a teenager.

Height to weight proportionate. Possibly 1 exception, but I cannot recall his name.

I was in gym class one day and Sean was a little chubby. Guys were making fun of him and he says back, "girls don't go for the bod, they go for the rod"
In scrimmage 1 day ..@ yonder ball field, Petry or sum body ..threw me a breaking ball - first one Id ever seen...and I crushed it..
Another Time ..Petry was playing a shallow left field & I hit it so far over his head ...all eYe witnesses were astonished... cause at age 15, I had yet to move into triple digits on the weight scale ..just a stick of a human being & full of self loathing.
She graduates in 2 weeks, her Major was Chemistry and Criminal Forensics. She has a job in St Louis waiting on her, she gets a whole 2 week break.
And she might find another summer love that will distract her in a good way while she heals and starts a new life.
This one has a boyfriend for about a yr now .. he's in Texas getting his Masters.
He graduates the same day as she does here in Illinois.
