Great Day

I got my guitar back and I heard a song on the radio that I have not heard in probably 25 years wave

How is the guitar setup now?
It is studio and stage ready. Frets are done, intonation done, neck shimmed, bridge lined up properly, and the nut is secure. Action is nice and low, no buzzing or grounding out. He charged me $130 for everything which is insane cheap for where I am.
Good price. Last year, I had a bone nut installed on a Les Paul copy and charged $125.
The guitar new was $250.
Wow, that is cruel. You can buy the bone nuts on amazon for less than $20. I am getting a bone nut, saddle, and bridge pins for my acoustic. I'll bring it in the shop to get everything adjusted, its so cheap to do, saves me a headache.
Track, I'm left handed. I was unable to find left handed guitar nuts.
Also, I requested they cut the slots with slightly more string spacing.
The cost included new strings, neck adjustment, intonation, etc.
Sounds like you got a really good deal and great workmanship Track...thumbs up
Yeah, cutting the nut along with the other work, it makes a bit more sense. Nothing cheap about guitars and guitar maintenance, hey. I'm fortunate to be able to do action, intonation, truss, and a few other things so saves me a bit but re-crowning frets and drilling holes to realign the bridge is out of my league. The nut was also out of my know how. I never really looked to see what he done with the nut but the guitar got its sound again instead of it being muffled out by a layer of glue.
Very blessed to have a competent and insanely cheap guitar tech in the area. I gave him more than the bill was, he deserved it. I know the work he done, it could have easily went for double. I plan to go back to him after xmas to get a few final customizations done (nothing essential, just a few tweaks I would like to have done) and I'll be good to go grin
