Yes, it is sad to see such intolerance and name-calling by such a member towards other members.

Almost forgot...while on the subject...Last week,there was a great protest-action outside a Swedish artist´s mansion,-Lars Vilks,-where the "tolerant" people shouted "death","kill",and much more....to this "intolerant" man...Now,-the reason he should die was simple,-he draw prophet Mohammed...and therefore death was the ultimate solution....Governement and opposition where very careful to condemn these threaths,-but eventually they called him(!!!),intolerant...Funny!!!There was a debate a while ago,-where someone for some reason brought up the mutilation of women in Somalia,-and doing that....,-he got called "intolerant"...A school in a small town in Sweden,-backed off,-when a certain community craved that their children shouldn´t participate in certain lessons,-religion,gymnastics and music-classes,-reason...playing gpiano/drums where "blashfemy",and could anger God!!!!So of course,this school backs off,-since they where called "intolerant"...Has anyone monopoly on intolreance???

no alfibaros; is not so as you say here:if i speak truth and you reject,is so that you will reject also from other men who have truth like me. why because you know not God,till you learn him and beleive and obey !

To fieldir:

In my view, tolerance means not considering my own view, opinion, belief as the absolute truth. And it also means that we try to avoid hurting other people's feelings when it is not really necessary.
I don't know what kind of drawings Lars Vilks made of Mohammed, but I remember those cartoons of Mohammed some time ago, I think it was in Denmark(?). In a tolerant world, the one side would not shout "death" or "kill him" on seeing these caricatures, but in the very first place the other side would not even draw them, since it would be well aware that it will hurt other people's feelings without any real necessity.
Some other things include not just tolerance, but also mutual respect. For example: immigration. before moving to another country, I have to answer - for myself - the question, can I go there, do I want to learn the language and respect and show some degree of adaptation to that culture or not - and if no, I just would not go there. And if both sides show some effort (like me migrating to that country and partially adapting and the people of that country accepting that I am still somewhat different), there would be no "immigration problem"
There are many aspects of tolerance, and when one side complains about intolerance, it's very often both sides' responsibility.

I take issue with the word/idea of tolerance. I know that humans are not evolved enough to take responsibility for their actions, so it may be necessary to have tolerance at this point in time.

It seems to me that everyone born into this human experiment comes in for his or her own unique experience. No one is supposed to have the same life as anyone else. Yet, the push is always to create uniformity, sameness.

To me, tolerance implies that what I think you do is not acceptable but I will allow you to do it or say it or think it anyway.

It would be more wise to realize that each person has their own path and have no opinion of it one way or the other. Neutrality is a better word for me.

Get a dictionary, and look up the word tolerance. This means to tolerate, or allow. You, fieldir are not tolerant, because you delete posts that do not agree with you.

The author of this blog is tolerant, because, though he does not agree with you, he lets your posts stay.

I love God, and seek to obey all his Law. Yet you have called me evil and said that I hate God's Law and speak evil against God. I have posted over and over that I feel God's Law is good. Yet you have called me a hypocrite and said I hate God's Law. This is not the truth. You cannot call yourself truthful when you speak lies.

You have proven the author of this blog right and just and truthful, by all your posts here. Everytime you post and speak your words you prove him to be tolerant, and prove that what he says about you is the truth.

Everytime you delete a comment on your blog, you prove the author of this blog to be a truthful person, that you publish blogs full of intolerance. Your very words condemn you. Your words, sir, prove Naturelover73 to be truthful in all he says.

The more you post, the more people can see that you don't speak the truth, and that you are intolerant of other people's beliefs.

Yeah I dont see all the point in it, but I will say when people start preaching and forcing their beliefs that I pretty much tune out whatever they say, and for example, when I scrolled through this blog and saw Fieldr's pictures, I just didnt bother reading.

Given that the author of the blog is Austrian and not German I've turned "fieldir" into "fielder" to play with words in connection of the atlaa and the borders. Anyway, where's your tolerance? Just because you can't sense or acknowledge a harmless sense of humor it doesn't has to be a typo or you've to comment on it. Just the personal opinion of a galactic fruitcake.

I think fieldir just enjoys provoking others, I cannot imagine he means what he writes.
Anyway, I wanted to share these words because they grasp the core essence of what "tolerance" means, namely, as Murny put it, to tolerate and "allow" other concepts and opinions. Maybe it's just another word for "open-mindedness".
