What I Love About Women...

I have made a very important discovery… and at my age it is always nice to realize something that was there all of the time! I was telling a friend why I always liked to hire women in a professional capacity, my CPA, for example. He said, “and do you know exactly why that is?”
I thought for a moment and I realized that the main reason I like to employ women is that they are so full of passion. I’ve really come to admire that quality in a person. Like the old saying goes, “It is not the size of the dog in the fight, it is the size of the fight in the dog.”
Also, women almost never have to get into a “pissing contest” with me. They have an entirely different agenda. For one thing, they know what it is like not to be taken seriously… it usually takes them longer to command respect in their chosen career field, and their salaries reflect this. So, unless they are jaded against all men in particular, they are at least willing to give you the benefit of the doubt. And, they know what it is like to be lied to… and they get hurt deeply by this. And, they make wonderful friends, but of course there are exceptions to every rule. I once told a professional woman why I preferred hiring women to help me with my financial and legal affairs and she told my girlfriend who was there with me, when they were alone together later, that she seen this as a “huge red flag”. Obviously this woman had become jaded by a lying man or men in her life. I don’t waste time lying to people, things are complicated enough as they are without having to remember your “version” of the truth…
So today my hat is off to women everywhere, from my dear old mother, to my first childhood sweetheart, from my ex-wife to my mistress, from my attorney to my CPA, I sincerely care about you, you’ve made my life what it is today, and I sincerely thank you for it!
