The good old days ...

Where'd they go?

Remember when u used to meet up with friends for a coffee & a chat?

These days it's all about texting, Facebook, MSN, My Space ... twittering ...

Has modern technology completely taken us over?

Someone mentioned yesterday that she'd heard people didn't even meet in person anymore ...

... apparently they just went online & typed up sentences for conversation instead(!)

YIKES! Imagine that? What's the world coming to?

What's in store for the next generation? blues

Just yesterday I saw a three year old chatting very loudly into a bright pink toy mobile phone.

WHERE's THE TEDDY BEAR GONE?

Yes indeed jodestir; what happen to the good old days, growing up we learn how to fix things, we work with our hands,We learn from our fathers how to work on cars,We learn how to do the
Plumbing,This generation calls the plumber and pays $55.00

@ terbear57

.. yeah .. that's it exactly .. It's a real shame .. I live opposite a park and I NEVER .. EVER see kids kicking a ball around .. they're all inside playing computer games or chatting to school friends on Facebook ... I worry the next generation will lose all their conversation skills .. they'll only be able to communicate via keyboard ... Tragic really ...

sigh
Yeah jodestir as kids growing up, we would all meet at the park and play football,it was fun to hop around on a pogo stickWe would have competitions,we were outside enjoying ourselfs. Now day Obesity is getting to be a real problem. With kids more interested in the computer.
@jodestir

Childhood obesity was unheard of here, now days you hear what
obesity can do to kids, such as the high rate of Diabetes,Whats sad is this generation dont know how to cook,Just hot dogs and burgers, seams like cooking a good healthy Dinner is a lost art
Yes,
It is like we are moving to an artificial and virtual life, not good for real communication and human contacts...FB, MSN etc, are good if you are far from the person you are talking too. But if you live in the same city, this is just stupid, is an excess.
@jodestir, I agree, it is very sad when you put it that way .. I am thankful that I don't use Facebook >> all my friends are laughing at me because I don't have account there mumbling but I am not sure why, I just didn't like it ..

maybe one day will come and we won't be able to use the internet, that's when we will be forced to see each other in real life laugh
