I haven't seen it, but I know it's out there. Can't stand those people that are petty enough to ruin another's life just because they said no. They should at least have the spine to get it out in the open and if refused, be able to move on.

Thanks but I think that it has more to do with just being targeted by an employer who may have some sort of obsession with holding power over someone else and then when rejected they can and will make things difficult for you.

I have spoken with two Lawyers regarding my past experiences and loses.
They both said the same thing: It is my word against his (my boss) and guess who they will believe? Especially since my boss was a Doctor and regarded a pillar of the community.

This has happened to me a few times, and I just hated it. That is why I decided to work freelance, not cooped up in an office with a man who wants something that I am not willing to give. I have resigned from two places because of this kind of thing. I don't know how many times this happens to men but we women have trouble with unwanted advances from men in the workplace on a regular basis.

I had 2 bad experiences when I was at the University. Two of the teachers tried something with me blackmailing me because I was dependent on them. They were about 50 yr-old and I was 19-20 yr-old. The first time I was so disgusted and scared, also because it was in communism and the teacher was a colonel (yes we studied one military course too) and with a big influence. Eventually he put me a lower mark for not willing to become his lover. The other one was (and still is) a very famous scholar and I had chosen him to be my mentor for my thesis. He started inviting me to go to his home and to take me to hunting or mountain trips, and when one day he touched my face saying that I was too pale and needed some fresh air (with him in the mountain) I changed him with another mentor.

Now I see I had to complain from these people but the time was like that that they were very powerful and I needed to get my diploma...

My problems occurred when I was trying to get away from an unpleasant situation involving extreme disagreements with my superior in the workplace.
All my attempts to apply for a promotion and/or a transfer were squashed. At one stage he even called, while I was in an interview, demanding that I return to my post, after giving me leave to go to that interview.

I fulfilled all the requirement for a particular promotion post, including doing the job for the previous 3 years, and when the position was officially available, He told me . . . "Do not bother to apply . . . you were not FORTHCOMING enough"
Those words still echo in my mind, almost 15 years later.

I left soon after, and ever since they have been requesting me to return . . .
For me it was a blessing in disguise, because it provided me with the motivation to get out and the freedom to be selective in the jobs I accept.
