Nuclear Weapons, Why do we even have them?
First of all, I have to emphasize on the fact that I don't know much about this topic .. I was thinking about it now ..I just don't get why some countries spend so much money on developing these destructive weapons while obviously there are several other issues which need to be taken care of?
Let's say one crazy person had access to these weapons and decided that it's time to play ..
Do we say good bye to planet earth then ?

I can understand that every country should have some sort of weapons in case of any sudden attack .. The thing is that nuclear weapons can have effects that would continue for so many decades .. There should be other alternatives ..
The threat of nuclear war will outlive both of us.
Makes me wonder why several years back (when Bush was still the President of US), there was so much fuss about Pakistan having to build it's own nuclear weapon. Just being curious...
