Enough is enough . . . .
or not . . . .You've committed to do something because you felt it is something worth doing, but halfway through you find that it is nowhere close to what you had anticipated it would be.
You cannot muster the enthusiasm for the project and everytime you look at it, you try to find an excuse NOT to do it, or you constantly postphone getting it done.
Do you continue and complete the project because you committed yourself ???
Or
Do you find a way to get out of it .. . . Lying if necessary
Or
Do you go to them and say this is not going as planned and you no longer wish to continue

That sounds soo good to me right now . . .
One half of my brain is screaming ME FIRST and the other is say . . .WHAT ABO?UT YOUR COMMITTMENT ! ! !
I'm so glad someone understands where i am coming from on this one . . .
I am bashing my head on it
thanks fo runderstanding
The problem with dropping the project is that they will not find someone to take over in time bofore the completion
So if I walk out on them, I will be letting a LOT of people down
But thats me?? Once I commit thats it! Hell or high water! I complete my task!!
I am starting to feel I should have walked at the start when I first started feeling this way.
I think for me to back out at THIS stage would be irresponsible really. Too close to completion . ..
It's good to be on the move
I love to do that
For $18 Million.
So if it is a matter of motivation, one suggestion is (although it doesn't work for everyone), is to reward yourself every time you do something on the project. Plan to do something you truly enjoy after doing the project each time. This allows you to be motivated because you are looking forward to a personal reward.
On the other hand, if there are too many issues and you have reached your limits, as Baltus said, there is nothing wrong with honestly saying, "I am no longer able to continue in this project because it is not what I thought it would be". Not every job we undertake is going to go well, and every person has the right to resign from it when they have reached their limit.
Praying that you may find the best decidion for you, Coffee!! All the best Coffee!!!
Thanks . . . you're a REAL mate
That sounds like some advice I could live with.
Hmmmm, I should draft a list of rewards I could award myself . . . lipstick, hairdo, new dress, shoes . . . . hey, this could work . . . I starting to feel a bit better about the project already
Seriously, I do like the suggestion. Thanks
