Why I am here.
I'm here to meet new people. Perhaps there are a few guys out there that find me attractive enough to want to spend time with me. I'll be 30 next month and I've been single for a long time. It would be nice to meet guys that have moved beyond the one-night stand/hookups. Meeting guys that are only interested in one-night stands gets old after awhile. Of course, it's not like I'm overflowing with offers...but I digress. I realize that I will never be a 10 by societies standards but I think that I'm at least cute enough for a guy to give me a chance. You know...to get to know me. I've got the basics - I'm funny, smart, quick witted, independent, all my teeth, and a pulse.
Yes, I'm looking for a long term relationship and that may turn some guys away. But what is wrong with going out for a hike or some other similar activity? I'm not high maintenance. I don't need the candy and flowers. Sigh.
Sorry, for venting or sounding a bit negative. I am actually pretty up beat about things.

Being a 10... you'll be a 10 for someone... just need to find the one who appreciates the things that are uniquely 'you'.
... and the flowers are always nice... ways to show you're appreciated... don't give up on the flowers :)
