Celestial Readings Astrological Update for Oct 16-

The Moon in Gemini weekend has been good to us as the patterns of the planets formed flowing trines in air signs imbuing infectious good will and positively expressed productive energy. Then for the greater part of the work-week, Moon transits graciously through her own sign, Cancer. When a planet is posited in its own ruling sign, it is considered to be in ‘dignity’. Like parking the car in your own garage, it is an optimum situation ~comfortable, familiar territory. It is where a planet’s energy works best!

As the moon moves through Cancer, it presents us with a magnanimous Grand Water Trine pattern, (17th-18th) ~geometrically speaking, a perfectly poised triangle, involving Mercury/Venus, Neptune and the Moon. Water signs govern the intuitive, emotional element of human nature and these particular planets energetically promote the same, with a distinct leaning towards the spiritual and divine aspect of being human. A highly favored pattern, it promises great reward for listening to that all-important ‘inner voice’, the one you KNOW is right. It also highlights the simple beauty of communication. Communication is the essential and the critical building block of human relationship (and society) and it is within these inherent, natural gifts that the emphasis of this brief but gorgeous Grand Water Trine will be most powerfully felt..

Thursday, the 20th, sees the Lunar transit in gregarious Leo, and as the week-end approaches, will conjunct Mars in Leo. Moon/Mars conjunctions do happen once a month, but in the sign of Leo, it’s like someone turning the volume up, ~ way up! Leo is undoubtedly temperamental but it is usually very optimistic, generous, noble, and humane. The challenge this week will be in the area of patience ~without doubt, one of the higher human virtues! If we can stay centered during this high-energy week and make use of our finer attributes, it will be a promising week ~ allowing us to get a great deal accomplished.

The Moon moves into fussy but industrious Virgo on Saturday, at (10:41 AM-EST); and forms beautiful sextiles to both Mercury and Venus, ~imparting a distinctive cooperative spirit. On Sunday, the 23rd, Sun enters Scorpio ~~deep and mysterious, but that’s another story which we’ll delve into when next Sunday arrives!
