We are a lucky planet indeed! And this is a gorgeous week for the Thanksgiving celebration. Celestially speaking, this is a very busy week. Besides the Grand Earth Trine, we have Mercury going retrograde on Thanksgiving day and a powerful Solar eclipse on Friday. The Grand Earth Trine that moved into place last week will be with us until December 1st. Earth trines really helps us regroup and get our earthly affairs in order, bringing out the most pragmatic side of us. Perfect timing since Christmas is around the corner.
But let’s talk about the lunar transits! The week starts off with a fairly testy moon in Libra (Nov. 20th, 8:16PM EST) in a brief but tense T-Square involving Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn. From there, it will traverse Scorpio (Nov 22, 8:58pm EST), Sagittarius Nov 24, 8:57 pm EST, and finally Capricorn (Nov. 26 pm 10:06 pm EST). Moon conjoins Saturn in Libra early in the week and then moves into intense Scorpio, adding a serious tone to relationship concerns early on in the week. But this is brief, and Thanksgiving will see the Moon in boisterous, optimistic Sagittarius.
With Mercury and Venus also in candid Sag we can expect the relatives to be outspoken and opinionated. (Not that we’re used to them being anything else, it’s just that they’re not usually all in the same room at the same time)! Pardon the expression, but, Yeee-Gads and Little fishes! ~But that’s OK, the approach we should embrace is one of humor and benevolence. Since it’s likely to be a verbal free-for-all, keeping your attitude light-hearted and letting remarks roll off the shoulder is going to be the key operative for the smooth navigation of the holidays. On the heels of Thanksgiving, is the Solar eclipse (as many know also a new moon) in Sagittarius.
Jupiter, the ruling planet of Sagittarius is currently stationed in Taurus, which grounds the powerful energy spiking the moods and also makes for an excellent time to expand on big ideas and implement detailed projects you have set aside! Starting them now is sorely tempting, but do keep in mind Mercury goes retrograde on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, so avoid, if possible, signing important contracts or making other such binding commitments. Miscommunications can easily occur during Mercury’s brief retrograde (especially in outspoken Sagittarius) and equipment failure is par for the course. Employ mindfulness to all interactions, especially if they are contractual in any way. Mercury goes direct again on Dec 13th.
