To touch.....a hugTo taste.....a treat
To smell.....a flower
To hear.....a voice
To see.....a smile
To speak.....your mind
What senses could you go without?
What senses couldn't you live without?
Now imagine....
If you had no choice.....
What would you do?
Imagine.....
Having your body
But not your mind
You're there but you're not
You can't walk
You can't speak
You can't do anything
But slowly deteirorate
Or watching a loved one
Going through that
And there's nothing you can do
But just be there for them
In the best way possible
Its the little things
Its part of the aging process
Don't take your health & well being for granted.
Don't neglect your health & well being.
Because life has its own plans for us....
Whether we're ready or not... or even want it.

One of my favourite films is 'Whose Life Is It Anyway', a very touching film..
The mind & no body. The body & no mind. Sometimes both. Its not easy to see a loved one in those ways. I work with elderly & adults in a long term care facility....& I see this every time I go to work.
I may have to watch that movie.
