Ahhh the joys of aging!!
When you're younger, you wanna be older.When you're older, you wanna be younger.
Then you hear....."never get old"....LOL
Whom do I usually hear this from?
Older people complaining of their aches & pains.
You can't avoid aging...its part of life!
Do you remember in your younger years, wanting to be "sophisticated"? To be on your own & independent, & "free", to do whatever you want....whenever you want. Then that time comes, & now for some reason....you want to be young again. You realize being grown up, actually has responsibilities.
Gone are the days where all you had to worry about was homework & chores. As you got older, you may of had a part time job while in high school. Some of us wanted to grow up fast....& gotten into trouble because of it.
Fast forward after you're done schooling after high school...that's if you went. Then you get a job in your chosen field....hopefully. In the meantime you search for love, as you're living your life. You pay bills, cooking & cleaning, achieve a healthy balance between....work & play, friends & family.....& so on!
Life goes on, & you get older. Your body doesn't work as it used too. You're looks change, your helath changes. There's many changes throughout life. Some of us age gracefully, & well...age catches up. Some will have "work done". Then it hits you....your lifes passes you by, where did it go?
If age is just a number, how old do you feel? Are you happier now, than before? Or were you happier at another point of your life?
Well at this moment, for me......
I'm in a better point of my life. I haven't done everything I wanted to...yet!! But in time I will....if I don't, maybe something better comes along. I'm happy at what I've accomplished, but at the same time I know I could be doing better.... There's things I still need to do....& want to do. My happier moments....happened throughout my life & still is!!

The joys of aging? Wisdom, patience and inner peace; not all of them always present..
But also arthritis, high blood pressure, cholesterol, heart palpitations, impotency, senility and what all.
Well, I suppose you still have a few years in hand. Pity I won’t be around to read your blog update on this in 30 years from now.

Good morning to you! Its alittle past my bed time....I had to unwind after I finished work tonight. No worries, your thoughts are good! Sometimes my thoughts aren't the greatest before I sleep....my brain goes in off mode
That must of been an awesome experience for you. Did you go, or see any other places while there? I would like to travel & experience different things....still on my to do list.
I agree being older has its perks. I wonder what I'll be doing in about 20yrs. Its a good feeling to have freedom with your life....in what you do & when you do it. Keep on walking. I enjoy walking as well, I sometimes get lost in the moment.....to clear my mind....& my mind wonders.

Kids come up with the most interesting conversation at times. I wonder why they would ask that. Maybe the topic came up somewhere. Perhaps they were curious
I remember when I was in junior high, we had an assignment for class. The assignment? Create your own tombstone & write something on it! I had trouble with. How could I? Death was the furthest thing from my mind. I can't even remember what I wrote.
It seems aging is good. It has its perks!
Life is like wine, it gets better with age. Too bad our bodies aren't like wine
Age is not just a number for me in regards to dating.
Otherwise, I do notice that my body changes and I have pains I didn't have years ago, on the other side I think I did improve in the looks department. My attitude to life and myself did change and I am more relaxed with who I am. I arrived at a stage in my life where I know what I want and what I like and that is a positive thing for me.
