Angels among us
I was recently in a car crash. Was going 75on interstate I-4 coming from orlando florida. Me and my daughter were arguing. Now I know many of you have done this, and like an idiot so did I. I tapped on the break to just scare her and kinda shut her up. Well, to say the least, I lost control of the car. I went across 3 lanes of traffic and the car folled once then landed on its side. Now if that isn't bad enough. The whole time a 1 and a half year old was in the back seat. THANK GOD everyone was buckled in. The grandbaby slept right through it and daughter came out with just a bruised foot. Now I went two days blaming myself for this, and still do. I know I didn't mean to, but in a flash I could of killed them over something stupid. It taught me a leasson, and I hope people will appreciate what they have. It showed me to apprciate my kids more and never argue in a car again. Just thought I share this with everyone. I tell ya, all I wanted to do was hug her. Would of been nice to have a significant other to hug, but GOD will provide when its time. Just like he sent angels to protect them.

so easy for kids to become un-great-full at times when they wont listen
I am no saint but I dont use bad language in my daughters presence (3ys old). Would a significant other tell you its okay to speed and endanger peoples lives just to make a point or scare someone. The florida turnpike is not the place to have an arguement.....
Part of the lesson, which I'm sure you know, is that a smooth, quiet ride in a modern car feels much safer than it is. You're very fortunate - thank you for sharing your experience with us!
I have a sister that complains about everything. And these things are usually so absurd I wonder what in tarnation. Well, one year we were coming back from a vacation when we started approaching real bad traffic in Barstow, CA.
I don't speed nor do I make quick lane changes when traffic is not congested but slow. I stay in the lane I am in and I just cruise because the traffic will clear up in a matter of minutes. BUT, in this case, traffic was so congested we had to crawl along.
This sister started yacking at me to do this or do that and calling me stupid. I pulled off the freeway, got out and handed her the keys. Man did she shut up!
