Christmas Trees for muslims.
My country's profile says that 82% of people are muslims.Yes people are calling themselves muslims here, but never practice a religion. They are more atheists than a religious. But that's not the case.99% people decorating a Christmas Trees at home and tens of huge Christmas Trees building up by the goverment in the parts of City. They think that a Cristmass Tree is the symbol of New Year. And don't care that its for Christians.
Also there's going to be many Santas in the public places.
Isnt't it funny?
I wonder If theres another muslim majority country in the world that almos every family decorate a Christmas Tree and wating for Santa?

Only the christians put up Christmas trees here.
People were actually decorating their houses with greens and decorating trees way before it was ever associated with Christianity, for instance, Egyptians, Romans and druids.
In the Middle Ages Scandinavians and Germans placed evergreen trees inside their homes or just outside their doors to show their hope in the forthcoming spring. I think our christmas tree comes from there, just as the custom of exchanging gifts (symbols for prosperity and happiness and a good journey in life).
The Muslim & Christian religions are more similar, than they are different. It's the extremists in both religions that cause
the fighting.
Jim.Agree with you.
Shay ,dont worry ,I'll send you one
Sands I thought Estonians had first Christmas tree. But Doesn't really matter.
Lachi thank you.I 'll have to decorate it in a few days.I'm being too lazy theese days
Try this one...
i know your country and you were under USSR regime for years,so every religion practice was a crime, therefore the Azerbaijanis people lost a lot from their religion for generations and most of the people believe in God/Allah in their hearts.
but making them as a majority atheist is not logically acceptable!?
anyway Muslims me too believe in Jesus(Isa) as Jim said,so we have no objections to celebrate his birth day even we don't have the accurate date, but in our own way,we even congratulate every Christian we meet.
so having Christmas tree in every Muslim house, will be okay, but its not our obligations and we don't want to cut trees every year, this we call it a Capitalism idea to sell every years millions of tree, instead of helping people with that money they spend on a dead tree?
you said,.. ((Also there's going to be many Santas in the public places)).
its a pressure from some organizations like International Monetary Fund,World Bank,European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, etc,so they must show them how democrat they become!? enjoy and don't drink to much
Thank you for the interesting information and for contributing for the Christmas/New Year spirit on CS
I can only add that I don't know about Muslims and Christmas trees here but I know that in some villages and small towns where live Muslims together with Christians, there is a nice tradition: on Easter the Christians give Muslims dyed eggs and Easter bread and on Bairam Muslims give Christians some sweets that they do.
And I agree that people should not cut many trees .Luckyly in here people mostly buy artificial Xmas Trees.
so that was you higher power!?
vyoleta,
wow do Christan know what in that link is!?
what an adaption!?
I have been so touched with information how Christmas Trees get worse Capitalism which impacts on world population especially in Third World according International Monetary Fund,World Bank,European Bank for Reconstruction and Development,etc,...
I have realised this year to decorate just the Arolla Pine in front of my house with lights ( as usual) and send my artificial Christmas Tree to some other Democratic non- Christian house for children to cheer them up and make them beautiful end of this year.
I recommend you to grow X-mas Trees as well together with lights and X-mas decorations ... easier to release on market
Just will we find Beautiful Santa Miss for you to produce cute small wonderful Little Santa Kids?
be careful and take care... you are young strong guy
but when you need any help ( blue pill) ... just feel free to ask ...
and soon we will have many
little Santas
Good Job
Merry Merry Christmas!
