With Time Travel, so often in the media, news, movies, magazines, computer games - were would you go to, if possible? It could be temporary or permanent;no restrictions!

Some ideas; The roaring twenties New York

Or swinging 60's. To live in the Victorian age.
Before this race...when the ancients roamed

Back to the 80's and invest in Microsoft, Coke or Google!

Back and prevent the birth of Hitler/Stalin/Mao/Nero/Mugabe/Amin/Ivan the Terrible ***many more**

That depends on whether it is a one-way or a round-trip you're talking about. I wouldn't want to go back before modern conveniences existed, like running water and electricity, not to mention flushing toilets!

The ancient past was a good time to get killed for practically no reason. For example, say you materialized in front of some way-back citizens, and they burned you for practicing witchcraft. Even if they didn't see you arrive, you would have to go to great lengths to fit in without arousing suspicion, and almost everyone suspected each other of being someone shady back then.
There is also the very real possibility of picking up some germ that has been long extinct, so in that eventuality, you would not be able to return to your present time for fear of bringing a horrible plague with you.

All that aside, consider the possibility of changing history by doing something in the past that would have reverberations through time. It is quite conceivable that you could wipe out millions of people by preventing their births, including your own parents, effectively killing yourself before you were born.

No, time travel is too dangerous for sightseeing-bloody tourists could erase all reality!

@ takomara2 ~ of what you have written; I have read also. There is a woman in England, unsure of her name - but has written a great book (Black/Grey/Proud Eagle),

forgotten that name also!
She actually takes people back in time (regression); and they are actually view the scene in a conscious state. Wish I could do that.
