Men and fishing
Do all men on cs like fishing? Which would be your favourite spot? River? Dam? or Sea?I notice most men love this hobby. I wonder what is so interesting about it. I've tried fishing at a river with some friends. I waited and waited and waited.....sigh...none of the fish came to me. Gave up. But my friends(men) could wait for hours for the fish. Of course they caught some. The best part was, I got to eat the fresh fish.

We did have more dead fish in the creek than caught fish.
And it is regulated, too. Not free.
Oh, was the river/sea polluted? I think the regulation could be due to overfishing or maybe to save the ecology.
Lol..... I've heard of that excuses. Poor unsuspecting wives. I think Africa has great oceans where the rare fish are.
man can overfish. but here pollution, water works and traffic are much worse than fishing.
In the Rhine the Salmon was still abundant a century ago but extinct in the meantime.
With enormous efforts some are coming back now in some tributaries.
There are harsh laws and penalties for fishing without licence but destroying the fish by industry is for free!
hehehhehe...maybe you laid your line at the wrong side.
It was the only fish we caught that day.......
Think (Scotland can be cold and wet) I'd sooner net the river - catch what I want - and go home.

Time to zzzzzzzzz...Tomorrow is Chinese New Year eve where the Chinese will have a reunion dinner with family members. 23rd Jan is Chinese New Year.
but in truth just being out in nature is reward enough
Last few times I've gone......surf fishing, more challenging though & less rewarding!

Parti,
Haha, I have done that....
Anglers are avid fans of open-sea fishing. It's a satisfaction when one can catch a big fish. Some just for the fun of catching one and later letting go of the fish.
My uncle was a fisherman and during school holidays I used to visit his family in Pulau Ketam (direct translation - Crab Island). Followed them to the sea and saw how they cast and pulled the net. It was not easy. But it was their rice bowl.
Next time when you catch one, should quickly take a photo of it. hehehe.
Yeah fishes don't talk but some bite. Make sure you don't get bitten.

Oh yes, out in the nature is nice. I love sea. Fishing need skill. I don't have the skill, that was why I got bored and gave up.
Elmorya Midrand,
Good old time. Rivers then were clean and unpolluted compared to now. Sigh!
Ed1941 LaVerne,
Awwww Edl. Sounds nice. I'm visualizing you sitting by the lake and dozing off. And the fish pulling you into the lake.

Finally there's one agreed with me. Thanks Carl. I agree with you 100% . Fishes are also living things. I've seen many documentaries and the poor fish esp big ones, struggling to get free from the hooks.
I think fish can sense danger.
CaptainCrunch , Fishing for some is a satisfaction, to others it's a waste of time. Each their own. To me it's not something I would want to do.
