Photo sharing - The Historical Buildings in Malacc
I would like to share some photographs of Malacca/Melaka with all the CS members. Malacca is known as the historic state in Malaysia. In 1511, Portuguese attacked and conquered Malacca under the command of Alfonso de Albequerque.A Famosa, once part of a mighty fortress, this tiny gate is all that is left of a once-mighty fortress.
The Stadthuys. Portuguese was defeated by the Dutch in 1624. The Stadthuys, in the Dutch Square, was built in 1650, it is a typical Dutch building with a clock tower.
Melaka Clock Tower built in 1886.
This fountain was built to commemorate Queen Victoria in 1901.
The Christ Church was built in 1753
