Bedroom Feng Shui tips.

1. Let go of the TV, computer or exercise equipment in your bedroom. The good feng shui energy in your bedroom is destroyed when these items are present in your bedroom.
(Time to shift my computer out of the room)

2. Open the windows often or use a good quality air-purifier to keep the air fresh and full of oxygen . Be mindful of the quality of air in your bedroom. You cannot have good feng shui in your bedroom if the air you breathe in is stale and full of pollutants. Plants in the bedroom are not good feng shui, unless your bedroom is fairly large and the plants are located far from the bed.
(I can't open my windows all the time as the mosquitoes will fly in and feasted on me.)

3. Have several levels of lighting in your bedroom, or use a dimmer switch to adjust the energy accordingly. Good, appropriate lighting is very important, as light is our nutrient and one of the strongest manifestation of energy. Candles are the best feng shui bedroom lighting, but be sure to buy candles with no toxins.
(I've only one type of lighting in my room. Can't sleep with lights on)

4. Use soothing colors to achieve a good feng shui balance in your bedroom. Feng Shui bedroom decor is a balanced decor that promotes the best flow of energy for restorative sleep, as well as s*xual healing. Best feng shui colors for the bedroom are considered the so-called "skin colors", and we know the colors of human skin vary from pale white to rich chocolate brown. Choose colors within this range that will work best for your bedroom decor.
(time to repaint my room. )

5. Choose the images for your bedroom wisely, as images carry powerful feng shui energy. Best feng shui advice for the bedroom art is to choose images that you want to see happening in your life. Unless you enjoy being sad and lonely, do not use sad and lonely images in your bedroom.
(I don't like to hang anything on the wall.)

6. Have your bed easily approachable from both sides, have two bedside tables (one on each side) and avoid having the bed in a direct line with the door.

A "good looking" and well-balanced bed is very important in creating a perfect feng shui bedroom. Good mattress, solid headboard and high quality sheets from natural fibers are also very important in creating harmonious feng shui energy.

7. Keep all the bedroom doors closed at night, be it the closet doors, the en-suite bathroom door or the bedroom door. This will allow for the best and most nourishing flow of energy to strengthen your health, as well as the health of your relationship.

hey , its my room and it works well for me , everythings has place and a time to be , but if you are dead who's going to know wave
Each their own Virgo. Some believe in Feng Shui but others don't. As long as it works well with you, nothing matters.

Chinese believes in Feng Shui and they will engage the Feng Shui master for advice.
thats allright if they carn't think for themselves .. but the rest of us make our luck and good fortune , and we dont wait for it to happen , we make it happen and move on with our lives , we rule ourselves without praying for some old dead person to do it for us , god is every where and in every living thing wave
I'm not sure whether men really think this way. I believe it's more of a girl thing and that's ok too! There is absolutely nothing wrong with that type of thinking.

I kinda feel like Virgo. A messy bed works wonders for me!
I forgot to mention. Your new photo is dynamite!
Virgo, I respect your opinion and believe. Feng Shui is part of the Chinese culture especially among the rich with big businesses.
Hi Ed, blushing Thank you for your compliment. Well, regarding the Feng Shui, my room is messy too. I'm also comfortable with my messy room. Being like this for years and my life is smooth sailing. If you see my table, phew...you'll shake your head. Full of books and paper.(being a teacher). You know, if anyone meddle with my things, I knew it right away.

The rational behind the energy flow is when a room is neat(no clutter), one will feel calm and peaceful. I don't do my school work in my room coz of the mess.
I bet my computer table is messy-er than yourswave
Awww...virgo, that's a real messy table. Mine is not that messy. grin
I've got such a small room , that theres no where to put it all , atleast it hides all those computer wires , mouse , keyboard ,power x2 , monitors cables and more power wires , sound wires ect,ect,...banana
Ed, I faced the same problem with the comments. At times I see 3 same comments. I always delete the extra comments.

Women are known to like clean and neat place but I guess I'm the odd one out. Not only my room but my car as well. Worse than my room. Books everywhere. I always tell my friends and colleagues that my is my school. My brother once said that my car can only accomodate 1 person, that's the driver.

I do clear my car and room but it's always back to square one.
Do you think one's occupation reflect the person personality? dunno
Hey honey, nice tips! I heard it before and I think it's also good for health. You know the computer will only make us stay late and doing work or chat. Better move it out from bedroom. Besides, I always think that plant is good to placed in bedroom but not a good idea when night and it released its CO2 and inhale the O2. Also, don't put a picture above your bed head in case there is earthquake and it falls down. hehe.. But that's the feng shui said also. Especially a picture of running horse. Wow, you won't sleep well. haha

Many many things to consider in feng sui but to know the basic is a good thing, but not too stick on it to have a more peaceful life. wink
Virgo, when you have small room, that's what will happen. I've small room too and a lot of things in my room. Bookshelf, 2 tables, 1 sewing machine, a pc, cupboard, etc etc. These already made the room congested. As for the wires, they occupy the whole table.

doh doh
Hi Summertan, I don't really follow Feng Shui advice. My sister-in-law and brother believe in them. Last year they engaged a Feng Shui master and he came to see my room. He said, the arrangement was good(Now, the arrangement is different) except for the clutter. hehehehe...

I don't think too much about it. The more I think about it, the more clutter I have in my mind. I take life easy and take one day at a time.
Bzzzy Girl!

You may be my twin separated!! Naw, your too young.

I am the same way with my car. I will clean it tomorrow and have it ready for my riders for work. I just make sure I have the engine well oiled and the fluids checked. But i have clothes in it, CD's all over, and all my good "stuff".

Ha! This has been a fun blog. I hope to talk to you more in the future!
I got a bed as well in my room and almost no standing room and a tv , a hot plate and a fire-place book shelves no windows

Ed, hehehehhe...

Men are different. People always say, that's normal but for a woman, people say, untidy girl. So unfair.
I can imagine how your car look with all the stuff. hahahahhaha.

Talking about engine oil, I just remembered, I've not sent my car for service yet.

Well, I am who I am. grin My motto is take me or leave me.
peace

Sure we can always chat. handshake handshake
Virgo, great video there.

Lol...sounds like "My room my home". Guess you spend most of your time in your room. grin

Virgo

Your little space sounds and looks exactly like mine minus the fireplace i have a heater.lips
Virgo, guess your yacht looks great as it is built by its owner himself. Maybe you can show us the yacht when it is completed. Here wishing you happy sailing in the big ocean.
Hi Becca, welcome to the small- space club. grin Nice to have a fireplace to laze around in a cold country.
honey

thanks for the warm welcome.wave
honey

you have a very pretty picture.....
hi , becca , if my room was bigger , so would the mess wave wave
Honey wave

I like a clean and neat room. I have certain places for certain things, so that when I need it, I know where I can find it easily.

Feng Shui is used by the rich (esp Chinese) with business and the known people in the Phils. I didn't have try but maybe I could apply that one day. It may works for me.

Ed, wave New profile pic, great!hug
Thank you Becca for the compliment. blushing
Hi Shay,

Guess you are a systematic person. I'm the other way round.Heeee.
In Malaysia, most of the rich businessmen believe in Feng Shui and would spend thousand of dollars to get the advice of the Feng Shui master.

Whether we believe in it or not, there's no harm in trying to follow the advice/tips. It might work, who knows.

grin
Thank you for the blog Honey, I knew most of these tips but still great to read them! Here are some pics of bedrooms that I would love to sleep in... and if possible, not alone wink wave
