fast changing world
By the yr 2100, we could lose Antarctica:Over past 50 yrs, temperatures in parts of the continent have jumped nearly 37 degrees-a rate of 5 times faster than the global average. In 2007, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, released a report predicting sea levels would rise between seven & 23 inches by 2100, on caveat;the numbers didnt account for Antarctica's rapid ice melt. New researchers believe the sea could shoot up three to six feet by the end of the century.Antarctica's ice cap holds 70 percent of the freshwater on earth;if it melts, the ocean's could rise 187 feet, decimating entire Island nations worldwide(The Maldives, for example).
Antarctica's wildlife is also at risk,Krill are essential to the marine food chain-fish,seals,penguins&whales eat them-but the shrimp, like cruslacean's numbers have dropped 80 percent since the 1970's disrupting the whole ecosystem.
There is so much more to add, all the different country's that will be affected by the sea raising? is just a small part of the bigger picture, take the time in your day 2 smile even if you do not want too,eat the things you know you shouldnt stop and smell the flowers, and make love if you can with someone that gives you the warm fuzzy enjoy life as much as you can is what im talking about
Man kind is so greedy we cant stop what is happening because money rules most of the world
Wish more people knew how special the world is and that everything on it is PRICLESS

So many out there still destroying our planet ! We celebrated "earth day" on the 22nd... I didn't have much to give back... I fed the birds, as I usaully do, so I hope that every little bit counts
2100 seems so far away... perhaps things will end before then
Myself, if I'll be around in 2100, maybe... only in my somewhat mid life at 70 yers in 29 days... I'll probably still be hanging around somewhere.
Joking aside, yes BonC you would be a good influence to those who haven't got a clue.
I think we should bring more sand from Africa and raise our ground again we did it before
If we don't take measures now i think it will be no Netherlands any more, cos we already under see level
I am going to raise my garden first
I just recently caught up on a bit of movie watching (read my blog to find out why)
One of the movies I watched again was called "The bucket list"
two old men dying from cancer: they decided to make a list and to do things they always wanted to do before they died...
It was very inspiring...
On that list, were many things but among those things:
Do something for a stranger for the good, and witness something majestic (So many beautiful places on this planet we have never seen) ALSO laugh until you cry...
It was moving indeed...
Gardening is my hobby and i do that in my garden and only in the summer times,i begin from now till end october .I like lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, radish, beans, mint etc..some veg i can not grow because of my ground quality and the weather.
I never heard about that system ? Do you mean, people work in some farms and they can get vegs for free?
Its when you do things for others without using money to paid,in basic example; you paid a guy ta fix your door with a chicken or a basket of fruit and veg, fresh bread, cheeses, ect
What you are doing is helping the planet in a good way theres is many that do it but still not enough ta make a difference fast sadly enough
and there is much more info, but this is one of my passions nature, land and animals,i follow what is happening to our earth very closely, like many others are doing, all theses earth quakes, floods ect that have been happening ??? in such a short space of time ??? affect not just people, but our hole planet and everything on it and in it and around it
my daughters father & male members of his family, are all fishermen, and their parents before them where fishermen,
the pictures ive seen of the melting ice breaking away from the Antarctica a few years ago, where big enough to land and sit planes on, because they did land planes on them (crazy man kind always thinks its better than anything else).
Any way the fishermen even said they had never seen anything like it or heard of anything like that happening before,we have the crew that work at the antarctica, stay at work off and on during the year and even they say its melting fast, theres so much going on in the world that its very hard to keep up ta date on just one thing i guess but it looks grim so i cant see the goverments in each country suddenly saying money doesnt matter any more, there will be no more RICH and POOR we will pull all the money together and help out everyone? no cause that means, they have to give their money ??? and that wont happen they need their 100,000 + a year
Because, who knows whats going ta happen at the end of the day ??? no one does (not on this plane/present, any way)
The last years, the so called Extreme Ecological Organizations get quite powerful and get sponsored by hm some not very decent places. You can easily see that they serve not only economical goals (through blackmailing for example) but also political agendas.
Here are just some links on the topic;
And a passage from the last link (February 2012):
Before we get to the charts, we had some other global warming related news this week. A bit of background first. In the last 20 years billions of dollars have been spent on a whole new array of scientific instruments which the scientists who push the global warming agenda felt would confirm their view that global warming was an emergency and that man was to blame. Much of this is satellite technology. The irony is that the data coming from these technologically advanced instruments have led to the opposite conclusion.
This week, data from another new satellite, Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment or GRACE satellite launched in 2002 as a joint project between NASA and Germany in 2002. GRACE was designed to study the problem of melting polar ice.
And the GRACE satellite discovered that the rate of ice melting was substantially less than previously hyped by the global warming crowd. As Gomer Pyle used to say "surprise, surprise, surprise!" As far as predictions for the future, researcher John Wahr of the University of Colorado who compiled the data said:
It's important to realize that melting patterns are hard to predict.
"Even with an eight-year estimate, it's not clear how far into the future you can project," he says. "A lot of people want to predict into the end of the century, but I think it's too dangerous to do that … We don't have enough info to know what'll happen. There's some ebb and flow to these things."
So its pretty much a waiting game ta see who is closest to what may happen?
Im hoping in my own personal world that they say "its the end of the world as we know it"? so seeing its headin into a greedy, negative, money hungry world ??? well mostly
the end of the world as we know it,
May, be the end of alot of greed and negative actions, and money need? ya never know
Its very social you know what is in your food because you get to know people better, you spend more personal time, one on one, kind of thing
Its still done in some areas not on the scale it used ta be
Thank you for this blog!
But Hay i believe in being part of it, as best i can, than just talking bout it, so i join them but to help the planet not kill it
