NO!Yes, the answer is most often NO. And some of us need the band aide ripped from our skin. It does hurt, but there is always healing.
Jana, you have a white coat, sterile look at life and love, but with the antiseptic, comes the truth. Some of us, myself included, are hopeless romantics, who, whether we like to admit it or not, enjoy the ripping of the band aide. I think, for some of us, it is the ripping that makes us feel, in a world where we have learned to stop feeling.
That said, with the greatest rejections, does bring the greatest sting. That is something a numb person craves.

Emotions let us know we are alive especially if they are balanced by the good and the bad.
Despair caused by failure is not as deep and dark as the despair brought on by the fear of trying.

I am not sure you got me right on my blog but it's not the place to re-explain myself. Sterile look? Can't get you but you surely have your reason to say it.
I think maybe your complex nature puts things at odds. I am glad i am strictly irrational.
BTW rereading your blog makes me correct my first comment. I think we perfectly get each other.
So i will typically for me say (a tad predictable ha..'): a numb person could use a success story more than a lost attempt.
Cos after all, you know what you want diamond, its just hard to get it, and ultimately will take some time (years maybe even) to dare hold on to it when found. Provided that is an option.

Love is after-all a feeling, a dream.. and even when it becomes a reality, even then it can feel like we are living a beautiful dream.
Call me crazy or irrational or what have you, but I have seen some of the strangest things happen in love.. strangest things happen that bring two people together... odd couples, compatible couples, like couples and so on.
So, I say with love, anything is possible. So, we get rejected again and again.. but I beleive someday when we finally do get accepted and find the real love of our life, then it will be worth all the pain and rejections we have been through in the past.
To some, love seems to come easy. To others it seems to come tough. Yet to some of us, it seems to avoid us and put us in pain and despair.. but it is these trials and challenges that will make our eventual love the strongest and happiest ever.
