What a load of.................

If that 'closing ceremony' was supposed to show the world 50 years of British music, well it was pathetic.
Where were the 'Teds, mods and rockers(ok there were a few 'scooters' but none of the 60s music that went with them) and the punks with their colourful hair doos etc?
All we saw were a couple of old 'uns and present day 'noise'. The woman at the begining was a joke as was the 'fat bloke' moaning away while the athletes entered the arena.
The special effects were brilliant but the fireworks were a bit of a let down.
All the above is just my opinion of course and not a repesentation of the whole of the British people!!

grin cheers

well however it went even not to every ones taste the atmosphere was wonderful. Such a collection of warmth and happiness in these unhappy times around the world lifted most people out of their doom and gloom.teddybear

I was wondering where all these big stars were that they promised. I agree the singer they opened with left me unimpressed. Tribute to David Bowie? Would have been nice if he could have been there himself. Supermodels were pointless. The special effects were decent enough.
I thought it totally rocked!! By far the best closing ceremonies Ive ever seen...The Brits put on a GREAT show and overall the Olympics were awesome ...Yay Britania!!! cheering cheering cheering
I couldn't agree more, it was an absoloute let down......If that is the best of British over the last 50 years....well the British must have bad taste...at least those that chose the performers.....and what was with the pointless supermodels???????? ah well, i enjoy British music, but what was displayed at the closing ceremony was not a fair representation of the best of British.....just my opinion
